Lee Labrada's physique was in the same vein as Mohammed Mokaway. Beautiful symmetry, balance, and aestetics. Same posing style too. Unfortunately, he also suffered from the disease of being short (5' 5") and at 185lbs you're NOT going to beat someone like Lee Haney at his best. Labrada went as far as possible with the package he presented. Intelligent also.

He was right that it was the new era, but wrong about the symmetry and lines, the emphasis was now firmly on freaky mass!

Labrada should have won this year haney was no where near his best and labrada was the uncrowned 1990 olympia

ya' know..... when Flex competed at 227 at 5'10", I thought his size was right on, for his build, alot like Labrada at 178. how COULD a bodybuilder as freaky thick in the middle like they are, even have lines???

@agginaelp the point im makin is haney was 70 pounds heavier than lebrada.even though labrada was shorter by 5 inchs it should not have been that high of a difference..5 inches = bout 40 pound difference not 70..haney was HUGE next to lebrada..I dont think you realize how wide and thick haney was..add that in with a tiny waist and heany was unbeatable regardless of his condition..NO CONTEST!!!!

@agginaelp i think you need to look at the pics from the show again.lebrada was in the worst condition of any show he had done. haney is 5 inches taller than lebrada but still outweighed him by about 70 pounds..haney is 5'11 not 6 feet and lebrada is 5'6 not 5'4. i seen one pic of the 2 standing next to each other and it was pure comedy..haney looked massive next to him..you need to have mass also..lebrada had none

I'm gonna agree with you, and disagree with lakeerie90s. in 1980, Arnold was -far- from his best, 5 years before... but there was'nt a man on that stage that could compare.. it's their fault for not bringing something that would beat the man.. I think Platz was at his all time best, but his upper and lower bodies were not ever going to match. Mentzer was a joke, and got what he deserved...

lines, quaility of muscle,definition,posing,symetry instead of freaky mass..try saying that to today Bodybuilders like Ronnie and Jay. Todays generation have ruined a sport in which creating ultimate bodies into a freak of nature! disgusting I say. Bring back the Zanes,Labrada,Flex!!!
