  • Big upgrade at the sewerage and waterworks in Gordon's Bay which is encouraging.
From Macassar the bio waste goes to a landfill site up the west coast where this site may never be reused at all for any other purpose due to the hazard of methane emissions.

    Hi Doug.
This is pretty well done mate!
It's a massive project, I guess it is phase one of a major house-building scheme.
Great aerial footage. And, yes, plant trees and shrubs. You keep harking back to the need to plant-up. What makes you think the developer(s) have no intention to plant up these areas? Is it just not mandatory to reinstate the environment in S.A.?
    Greetings from breezy Netley.
    Nick.

I wish I could just take it for granted that it would just be planted up as would do in a properly managed public space like the UK - but sadly as shown in the video - tree planting is just not a priority in this country. And Gordon's Bay public space is about THE most neglected I have ever seen.

Hi Nick, I really appreciate all the interest - lets hope the public become more aware and participate.
Sadly public space tree planting has NEVER been a priority in this area. This is my MAJOR concern. Private homes demonstrate the love of greenery - but state funded interest in greening the environment? Nope!😭
