So if i have already installed a bigger resistor into the flasher relay to negate hyper flash caused by led bulbs, will the additional resistor cause issues? They just flash slower correct? Could it be removed?
DOT isn't certifying aftermarket lights/turn signals at all. Even if someone would place that "DOT approved" thing at the light -- doesn't mean a thing. DOT has specs to which the lights have to abide to be road legal.
This shouldn't be an issue, and in our tests doesn't effect the Carbon Miata lights at all. The blue car in the video actually has the modified flasher unit installed during the demo. :)
I would love new NB2 projectors. I know Left Lane Designs could retro fit OEM housings but I don’t have OEM headlights unfortunately and a used pair is about $500 + the cost to have them retrofitted. The only other option is buying Spec D headlights but those don’t have very good light output.
We can't promise anything, it's almost impossible to get an accurate side by side comparison on camera. The clear lenses are noticeable brighter, but the difference is not as dramatic as we expected.
As you may know, Carbon Miata takes a while to ship products. We've had them on order for months, so it's up to them. At the moment, our best estimate is early November.

Look up their electrification video to see where FM is going. I know they got out aftermarket ECU business a while back. Selling LED lights probably has better margins. Still, I ordered mine yesterday

The led side marker from carbon miata is something I’ve been thinking about getting too.
If you have led bulbs for the blinkers and have a modified flasher unit. Will the carbon miata blinkers be effected by the modified flasher unit?

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options out there for the NB. We're looking into it!
Would love to see a black chrome housing for the NB headlights. Like what comes in the msm, but a million dollars.
