Good Oddly Old Memories. UwU 👌🏻 I Started Watching At The Age Of 6, That Railway Gate Is Very Big, Even Traffic Lights Put Behind Next To The Warning Lights.
i touched that gate... and rode on the wes... i even reported a light that fell a few months back... and that flashing light at the end HAS to get fixed!!!!!
Yep, I live in Houston, and have seen a few of these crashes first hand. It never ceases to amaze me though... The LRV's have strobe lights at the corners, a loud electronic horn, all of the traffic signals are programmed to interact with the LRV's and there are even HUGE signs that light up a big red circle with a line through it over a left turn indicator when a train is approaching, yet people still cut the train off. I say, metro should have the drivers go full throttle instead of brake...
@Hightrain12 Well, since it's a newer locomotive, and the RS3K's been long-discontinued, and the K2LA sounds like the RS3K, well; it actually is a K2LA!
Everytime I pass this crossing while biking in Beaverton, I thought the bell was quite high compared to when they are high ontop of Cantilevers. The gates were definately big.
great delayed descend timing,,, very horizontal stopping,,,and fast return to vertical timing and latch out,,, the descend time needs to allow for traffic in moving process to run under or stop,,, and also come to a buffering soft stop,,, the return to vertical needs to be done quickly as possible to prevent trucks from damaging the gate arm
This isn't the biggest gate I've seen. There's a gate that I've seen in person that spans 4 lanes of a six lane street. It bounces around like crazy when it's lowered.
Yeah, people can't drive worth shit here in Texas! Especially where I live in El Paso! (No, I'm not a Mexican immigrant, I'm from a military family who's moved from Dayton, Ohio!)
Funny how they waste so much money on signals like these for short commuter trains because idiots end up getting hit by them due to lack of awareness! (Look at Houston for example!)
But it sounds like a Nathan, though! And the RS3K's been discontinued for what... 15 or 25 years now? I don't know, just stop trying to correct me please!

Not Really, I'm Finding This Video Now.
Good Oddly Old Memories. UwU 👌🏻 I Started Watching At The Age Of 6, That Railway Gate Is Very Big, Even Traffic Lights Put Behind Next To The Warning Lights.
There is a crossing with a gate that big here in Tampa Florida. I will have to make a video of it.
That is one huge gate!
Interesting horn!
It’s an Rs3k
i touched that gate... and rode on the wes... i even reported a light that fell a few months back... and that flashing light at the end HAS to get fixed!!!!!
Massive crossing gate! But more importantly, the sound combination of those bells is utterly hair-raising!
WOW! BIG CROSSING GATE, HUGE I SAY!
Big Gate and Great Bells!

That light-rail coach has a nice K2LA!
That's one tall gate! I wind must really affect that thing!
I think this gotta be on the world records
What a grey town. 🙁
reminds me of the wubbzy episode where everything is plaid
I've been in this town several times, it's really gloomy during any season that isn't summer.

OH... MY... GOD!!!
Gotta admit its quite a neat crossing signal.
I love the train
Sweet!
Happy 10 birthday for the video
There is a railroad crossing in Clementon, New Jersey, that stretches three lanes. It's bell is not even that high and gate not that flimsy.
This crossing is in Beaverton, OR and it's on Canyon Rd.
Everytime I pass this crossing while biking in Beaverton, I thought the bell was quite high compared to when they are high ontop of Cantilevers. The gates were definately big.
That's what I was thinking!

is the vehicle in 1:05 a bus?
Train
Wow.
Do you know where this crossing is located?
Ah HA! Try driving around the gates NOW!!!
Must be in Texas
wow!!
I guess size does matter!
Wow that is long!
Wow! That gate looks flimsy compared to our gates that span 3 lanes...
This isn't the biggest gate I've seen. There's a gate that I've seen in person that spans 4 lanes of a six lane street. It bounces around like crazy when it's lowered.
but its the biggest gate in Oregon
ilovecartrides_RBLX Ok. It definitely looks like a really big gate. I wonder if that gate will ever break due to the weight.
It's located in Beaverton Oregon 12075 OR-8
Elevator Central I saw one that had 278
I would like to see the 4 lanes gate.
Where?
Surprised that the gate does not have a support rod.
The one on highway 52 near gunbarrel in north Boulder, CO is just like that
No it won't, crossings are very well constructed and correct counter weights are installed
Where was this filmed?
nope, big, long, but ive seen one go over a highway, its like 5 feet thick, and its just insane. very big gate there you saw
That gate should have a gate stabilizer
that was quite long. There's actaully one like that near my house at a weirdly shaped crossing. It's broken so many times
The bell is in the highest up.
where is this crossing, and what kind of bell is that i hear?
Beaverton, Washington County, Oregon
I wonder how much the counter weight weighs ?
Heavy
Where?
Why not also show the whole crossing?
***** There is a railroad crossing near that crossing that has 4 Safetran type 1 e-bells on west 4th st, Royal oak, michigan
Also one on South main St
i think i got that horn that the engine uses on my lionel NYC flyer ...
One of these days, that crossing is going to break due to the length and weight of that gate.
Yeah, people can't drive worth shit here in Texas! Especially where I live in El Paso! (No, I'm not a Mexican immigrant, I'm from a military family who's moved from Dayton, Ohio!)
Those are gates usually used for Drawbridges.
Funny how they waste so much money on signals like these for short commuter trains because idiots end up getting hit by them due to lack of awareness! (Look at Houston for example!)
good heaven! :O
I wonder how much lightning hits that thing
More like tallest hehe
Sounded completely diferent though...
lol, i guess its second purpose is to be used as a lightning rod :P
Why is the bell way high
yes...
But it sounds like a Nathan, though! And the RS3K's been discontinued for what... 15 or 25 years now? I don't know, just stop trying to correct me please!
what type of bell is that
Hmm... are you sure about that?
is it sh 3 (state highway 3)
What commuter service is it and what town or state is it in ?
Beaverton, Washington County, Oregon
Hopefully it doesn’t break from a truck during a train coming
Where was this ?
+freighttrainsahpassing Canyon Road in Beaverton Oregon. If you're local it might also help to know it's really near the Beaverton Transit Center.
Where is the exact location of this railroad crossing
This crossing is in Beaverton, OR and it's on Canyon Rd.
Oh my goodness
@metraF40PH163 thats what she said
That gate is like 40 ft high
