This was one of those Labor Day weekend "Shasta Daylight Special" publicity excursions I mentioned in another video. These operated over three days, each with a round trip from Redding to Mount Shasta City and back, hence the morning departure from Redding seen here. It was an effort by SP to demonstrate their commitment to the recovery of the river following a recent derailment and chemical spill at Cantara Loop. Proceeds from ticket sales went directly to these efforts. To distinguish whether one of your videos is of the Railfair return trip or one of the "Shasta Daylight" excursions, the two key things to look for are the weather (the day 4449 returned from Railfair was cloudy, the Shasta chase was sunny when you chased as seen here), as well as a couple changes in the consist (The baggage car is further back in the train during the Shasta Daylight than Railfair, and the Shasta trip is missing one coach before the observation car).
