At the beginning of the video, something surprised me. Marty Friedman said that he contributed solos. I believe him of course, but why wasn't he given credit for it? I don't remember reading "Friedman" next to any track on "Rust in Piece". Is it possible that you only take credit for the rhythm parts? If that's true, then that's just unfair. Solos might be a topping on a pizza, but it's still a very delicious one.
Sadly, If I'm not wrong, the main parts for getting credits from a song is to have made the main melody and lyrics, just that, arrangements usually don't take place which is kind of unfair definitely. I read few years ago that even Menza wasn't receiving royalties from the tracks, despite his drums lines were part of the composition, and he even couldn't do versions of the songs.
This is probably one of the reasons why Marty declined the RIP lineup reunion. They all said that the reason why the reunion failed is because of money which is I think a problem right from the start.
