I do amateur theater and one year I was playing a wife who couldn't cope with her husband not getting rid of the dead body in their bedroom for the last 15 years (a bit hypocritical because she did nothing either). For a character exercise we had to bring a song that explained our characters. I made the whole cast and director listen to Breakpoint for its lyrics. People stared at me and didn't get it. It was so disappointing because it fit so well.
Angry Again was the first Megadeth song I heard on the radio, and it was the first of theirs that I got into. When I finally had album buying money in the summer of 98, I originally thought that track as on Cryptic Writings, because I didn't know their music yet. But sufficed to say, Hidden Treasures was the first Megadeth album I owned.
All the Megadeths songs on Hidden Treasures are excellent songs that deserve to be on a record! Would be interesting to hear the original version of Problems with Chuck and Jeff.
I agree with the top comment. Mustaine has made so much incredible music, he, I hope has stopped complaining about getting kicked out of Metallica. And Go to Hell is one of my favorite Megadeth songs. The video is classic!
As a young Megadeth fan being only 18 and only listening since I was 12, I always assumed angry again was a big hit song, never realized I had such a story behind it
yep, I never listened to those songs and I had that CD in my truck cd player for like a month straight. I would listen to Angry Again, 99 Ways to Die, Go To Hell, then I would end it with Diadems, and then listen to Diadems again one or two more times. I freaking love that song.
I love the psychedelic vibe and played it on repeat for some time when I first heard it. Still not a fan of the ending, though. Musically it's a little sloppy.

Dreamtheater was FAR FAR from famous back then. It wasn't until the Metropolis 2 album circa 2000 DT started getting to the level of mainstream fame you would expect for the drummer of the band to be hosting a mtv segment like this. Hell even back in 2000 most people other than dedicated prog lovers wouldn't have known who Portnoy was back then. Its incredible MTV in 1995 put Portnoy on this story back then. Especially on a segment about Rust In Peace lineup Megadeth with Marty Friedman.
