I’m from Vietnam, and I’m not Christian. My family and I follow Buddhism. When I was a kid, I went to a Catholic kindergarten and primary school taught by Catholic nuns. A nun once showed me this movie, but it was in black and white. Back then, I didn’t even know the movie’s name; I only remembered the words ‘bread and wine.’ I’ve held onto memories of that movie and the kind nun who showed it to me, Sister Hiến, who was so gentle and really cared for me. It feels like a blessing that I found this movie again today by chance; it brings back memories of a time when I was so innocent and carefree. I remember watching it and wishing I could meet God in the attic or see Mother Mary, to see if she was beautiful. Haha. Although I’m not Christian, I still believe in and pray to Mother Mary and Jesus, and sometimes I say the Hail Mary.

What a miracle! I watched this movie over 50 years ago at a theater in black and white, and now I had the opportunity to see it in color. The Japanese title was translated as "Innocent Prank." I now have a deeper understanding of the significance of Jesus Christ, and this movie has profoundly touched my heart. Thank you very much for uploading it.

I have never seen this movie before until now. It's a story I can never forget. It was sad that the little boy Marcelino passed away. But that is what he truly wanted to be with his mother in Heaven. Jesus granted him his wish.

Siempre me dio curiosidad por ver esta pelicula. Ahora que la vi, quede encantada solo el final me diò tristeza al como el padre cookie se habia encariñado tanto con Marcelino que cuando vio lo que ocurrio, se quedo paralizado de ver a Marcelino descanzò en paz en los brazos de una Imagen de Jesus en madera.

Jesus give me grace and endurance this Christmas. As a single mother my number one priority, are my sons. Both of them are autistic so they require a lot from me. God give me strength as I struggle to provide for them. My faith in you is still strong! Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. Jesus hear my prayers I’m so overwhelmed and discouraged because I’m also battling lupus and have heart issues. Lord give me strength because I want to give up. 😢
Contact every church in your area and find out who will help you with groceries because we have churches that help people when they need groceries or anything that you were needing the churches do help so please phone every single one of them and tell them what is going on in your life and that you need help and find out which ones will actually Bring you groceries. Start with the Catholic churches.🥰

This is the first movie in my life "Marcelino pan y vino" in Filipino when I was only 4 y.o.! I cried because the Tagalog version added at the end Marcelino meeting his mother in heaven! It stuck in my mind until now in my 78 years of age and still a religious priest!😇🥰🙏

I saw it too when I was a kid, I remember the title as "Marcellino, Pane e Vino".
Me too, exactly the same but it was more like 65 years ago. I was thinking about it just the other day and thinking to try to find it on YT. God is good. There's a reason He wanted us to find it.

Omg I have stumbled on this movie after seeing it over 60 years ago and it moved me so much . I have never forgotten this movie with the beautiful and haunting ending . Always searching for this movie until I accidentally found it today . I still loved watching it . Had me in tears .

This film gave goosebumps and almost in tears when I the watch the very end. Last time I watched this through an animated series when I was 9 years old (1994). Thank you for sharing this video.
I have never seen this movie before until now. It's a story I can never forget. It was sad that the little boy Marcelino passed away. But that is what he truly wanted to be with his mother in Heaven. Jesus granted him his wish.

Jesus give me grace and endurance this Christmas. As a single mother my number one priority, are my sons. Both of them are autistic so they require a lot from me. God give me strength as I struggle to provide for them. My faith in you is still strong! Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. Jesus hear my prayers I’m so overwhelmed and discouraged because I’m also battling lupus and have heart issues. Lord give me strength because I want to give up. 😢

5歳〜10歳くらいの頃にこの映画を週末に朝から5回連続で観た記憶があります。今から35年程前。昼間に見るとマルセリーノが可愛くて、音楽も演出も素晴らしい。全てのセリフを覚えてました。しかし、夜寝る前にこの映画を思い出すとキリストの手が動き出す瞬間が怖くて仕方がなく、トラウマになってました。それでも朝になると忘れて次の週末に、また朝から何回も見直す。そして夜になると言葉にはできない怖さがありました。大人になるまで見返すことがなかったトラウマ的映画です。でも、この映画は自分にとって、初めて映画の芸術性や映画マジックのようなものを感じることができた素晴らしい映画です。是非、子供に観てもらいたい。カラーならトラウマにならないかな。

Magnifique film en noir et blanc de mon enfance. La couleur est vraiment parfaite. Ce sont des histoires, des contes où le merveilleux se mêlent au sacré. Bien sûr que c'est FAUX ,mais on a bien le droit d'y croire durant la longueur du film.
The Miracle of Marcelino is a fabulous and engrossing film honoring the compassionate side of our crucified Savior. The part where Marcelino begins taking bread from his supper to share with Christ is particularly amusing! Thank you for posting this cinematographic gem!

This is the first movie in my life "Marcelino pan y vino" in Filipino when I was only 4 y.o.! I cried because the Tagalog version added at the end Marcelino meeting his mother in heaven! It stuck in my mind until now in my 78 years of age and still a religious priest!😇🥰🙏
