- Testing out a custom built inflatable kayak setup with an outboard motor. Quite a project and definitely one of Brendan's best to date. Using a Suzuki 2.5 HP outboard motor and Intex Excursion Pro kayak.

How did you mount a motor to a Kayak
Hi friend. I am in your similar situation, I have just to receive my suzuki, and I need to build the structure. Can give me more details to build it?
I hadn't thought to make anything about the direction, the steer, I really liked the idea of placing the rudder, and the idea of changing the speed even the gear has to be very complicated. Please let me to watch more, or plans. Thank you very much.
Probably another video to come with the tweaks I have made in the recent weeks. Might put together a more detailed description for the final build.

I have several doubts. I was thinking in a simply pvc pipe, but perhaps is very soft for the motor weight.
@@Pepito499 No main structure is carbon fiber, aluminum , fiber glass and steel pipe conectors..And the architecture is specifically built and tuned to enable optimum stiffness.
@@Pepito499 I think with the right design, it could be built with schedule 80 1-1/4 inch PVC pipe and couplers, but it may look alot different. Fiberglass and carbon fiber is the way to go for the best performance most likely.
I am thinking about a serious problem in this mount. The time of filling the tank. You are very far of the motor.
