I don’t believe any leaks however wanderer better get more future story relevance given 1 pierro wants something from him this was stated in wanderers voice lines which was why he always sent scara to the abyss and to investigate things like the false sky he also knows about the false sky. 2 dottore wanted to take hapaysia just because she had scaras memories and was connected to him… 3 scara literally wants to kill dottore. 4 we haven’t seen any of the fatuis voice lines/thoughts about him besides childe Arlecchino doesn’t even have voice lines about him bc of irmunsul. And there’s a lot of reasons childe should be relevant too but columbina pantalone and sandrone can ALSO be relevant yk the more relevant characters the better not worse.
This isn't just a hearsay leak, those were tests they've made that provided evidence of playability. (I've seen the video and the original post from the person who datamined it )

Hoyo does love to shove redemption arcs to characters that doesn't deserve them. Scaramouch basically got away scoot free after engineering an entire civil war in Inazuma, and Sunday is hanging out with the Astral Express crew after trying to kill/assimilate them.
There're pretty good reasons for Dottore's actions. His goal was never to pointlessly traumatize Collei. God remains were used on Collei, yes, but you know that's the reason for her to be alive right now? Eleazar isn't curable, at least it wasn't, so to keep the sick alive - God remains was the answer. If you ever did the Baizhu quest, you would have known. Dottore does not need 'redemption'. His lore is much more complex than this.

I agree he does not need redemption. He needs to be taken out and removed. He is a good villain and antagonist. My issue is Hoyo loves to "redeem" their villains. At least some of them. But of all the Harbingers, Dottore is one that I don't want a playable version of, as that means that he would be turn into someone that the traveller can at least tolerate, which would not fit his antagonist role. I felt much the same way with Scaramouch actually, and in the latest quest involving him, he even got the hero role, which is very ill suited for him, I think. Dottore is just so much worse. After all, Scaramouch's crimes can partially be attributed to Dottore as well, on top of his own crime. So no, I do not want him as a playable character.

There're are characters I don't like as well, but I know very well that if they're deleted - those who favorite them will be disappointed. Dottore won't be redeemed. Was Arlecchino redeemed? Was Tartaglia? Scaramouche was the only character who could have gotten this type of redemption, due to his backstory allowing it. The case will be different with the rest, especially with Dottore. The traveller will follow them around, but that gives us the chance to see the character's own perspective. It doesn't mean the traveller will start supporting their actions, only understanding them
I personally believe that Capitano's story has ended. And I am good with that. He got a fitting end. And his revival will mean that we will see at least one more AQ that will feature Natlan aside from Dainslaif one. Which I don't see happening tbh. Also, other harbingers not being playable must be a lie or mistake on their end. Because the kid from Nod-krai in the latest quest said that there are one or more harbingers in Nod-krai currently. Meaning we will see them for sure. And frankly, I would like to see other harbingers getting screentime rather than just Capitano or Childe hogging all the time for harbingers. They are done and gone. Capitano is basically getting Signora treatment rn. Sure the community is hoping and leakers are saying that he will be back. But, like Signora, he will be forgotten after some time. They will likely just release another Winter Nights Lazzo to confirm that he is gone. Only then the Genshin community will understand.
