ICELAND KUKU CAMPERS Road Trip & BEST DAY HIKE I've Ever Done!

We spent one week exploring Iceland this September with our friends & drove the Southern Part of Ring Road in our camper van from Kuku Campers! We took our time so we did miss quite a few things on the north side, however I wouldn't have changed it a bit. It was perfect not feeling like we had to rush, and we were able to add on some items that aren't as common to the typical Ring Road itinerary (such as Heimaey Island- should be in next Iceland vid!).
Our full itinerary:
Day 1
- pick up van
- drive North West to see Game of Thrones mountain
- dinner at Kaffi 59 (vegan burger)
- camp at Olafsvik
Day 2
- volcano hike
- Seljalandsfoss & Gljufrabui
- Skogafoss
- camp at Vik
Day 3
- Fjadrargljufur canyon
- glacier lagoon & diamond beach
- dinner at Pakkhus in Hofn
- camp at Hofn
Day 4
- geothermal pool
- Vestrahorn
- horses on side of road
- Mulagljufur Canyon BEST HIKE EVER
- camp at Vik & see Northern Lights

Day 5
- ferry to Heimaey Island
- SeaLife Sanctuary
- volcano museum
- hike to top of volcano
- delicious lunch at Gott
- camp at Reykyavik
Day 6
- bakery in Reykyavik
- Hallgrimskirkja church
- darts at English pub
- Sky Lagoon
- dinner at Dill
- camp at Reykyavik
Day 7
- fly to Faroe Islands to continue the adventure!
Please remember there is no wild camping in Iceland. Stick to the trails- Icelandic moss is fragile & remember that you can drink water from anywhere, so no need to buy plastic bottles! Iceland is extremely popular & we want to keep it beautiful for all those to enjoy it in the future.
