Heenan is one of the guys that I didn't fully appreciate growing up. There was a great interview he did right before his throat cancer battle that has since been removed from youtube :( If the guy didn't find his way into wrestling he would have made a great comedian. Just an all around awesome dude that (knock on wood) has beat the odds against throat cancer. Thanks for all the years Bobby, all the best!
He definitely was. He was one of a kind. There'll never be another 'Brain'. Loved watching him and Monsoon go back and forth when I was a kid. They were a legendary comedy duo. My brother and I still quote them. "Will you stop!?"
Bobby Heenan is by far the best heel commentator / color man EVER!! Plus he was by far the best manager ever. He gave whoever he was managing instant credibility. Which isn't something that is easy to do. I really miss seeing him on TV every week.
I miss all three of these guys. All three of them rank among the greatest talkers wrestling has ever known. I miss Piper's insanity, Bobby's wit, and Gene playing the ultimate straight man. I grew up watching the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era, but although these three were all elder statesmen even then, they're my heroes more than pretty much anyone else. RIP Piper, Brain, and Gene. Good people. You are missed.
Had a chance to meet all 3 of these men in my life time, and was not disappointed. they were all fantastic and had time to talk for a few minutes and sign some stuff for me. all legends in my opinion
Gene was very good Bobby was very very good Piper was very very very good. Heenan used to crack me up. Great one liners everytime I saw him. I loved Bobby and his straight gotchas, loved him and the gorilla back then , perfect match. They fed each other so well. Damn good times.
They were phenomenal and made wrestling so much more entertaining. Gene was great and nobody can compare to him. No manager can compare to Bobby he was funny but sarcastic. Hot rod just pure talent. RIP Bobby, Roddy and Gene
Bobby is such a good fella. I REALLY miss him not being in wrestling. ALL these guys need to come back. Gene should have been JR's sidekick....I like Jerry, but I miss Gene. Roddy was great at the role of an interviewer first that went wild back in the Atlanta days. Thanks for uploading this. It was great to watch. I hope these guys live long happy lives.
"You never touch a midget, you never know where they've been." - Bobby 'the Brain' Heenan.. Thank you. Thank You, Piper, Flair, and a few others for entertaining me throughout my youth and beyond.
Three amazing and professional performers. It's nice to see them in private as friendly persons who really respected each other. And it's so sad to realize that they are all dead now.
As a kid I always liked the heels. Bobby was the ultimate heel. Bobby made me laugh and still does when I watch his old videos. RIP to all these guys. Thanks for the entertainment guys.
Heenan & Piper, my #1 & #2 talkers (in order). Nobody was better or faster than those 2, and the best part is they'd both back up that the other is the quickest they'd ever seen.
When today you realize that not one of them are with us now ... Its really sad I really feel that the good times in pro wrestling is gone. It will never ever be the same again.
Wait Roddy Piper is Canadian!??? I thought he was from Glasgow!! (As an Englishman who’s been to Glasgow trust me I knew as a kid as soon as he spoke it wasn’t from Glasgow. You would need subtitles to understand some Glaswegians!)
So sad to hear Bobby’s voice here as it’s not a strong, more raspy because of the throat cancer. So sad as he like Jim Cornette are 2 of the best speakers in the business
If I was there and he disresepected Gene in front of me I would have kicked the shit out of him.Who the hell does he think he is talking to the Legendary Gene Okerlund like that?
I meant as Heel commentators. When Lawler was always siding with heels he was the best. He's terrible now cause they made Cole the heel play-by-play announcer. I loved Heenen/Monsson duo as well
takeing over hogan for example would be hard, a lot of it has to do with his voice that loud monsterous voice, if he had a voice like piper he might now haave been as big
Some of the greatest talkers in the history of professional wrestling. No one like em...wrestling is missing passionate talkers, interviewers, managers.
Sad to think that all three of these legends are gone now.
Steve W I know :(
Exactly what i just thought when i opened it
I was just gonna comment that. I did get to see all three in house shows and at Wrestlemania 3 in the 80s. My childhood
That didn't hit me until about minute 4. And that shit hit me HARD! 😕
😥
Rest in Peace, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. You will be missed.
also mean gene and roddy piper
*0:14*
*"REMEMBER ONE THING IN LIFE, A* *FRIEND IN NEED IS A PEST"*
*CLASSIC LINE!*
JR7827 loved it. The Brain philosophy
Bobby always made me laugh. I was never much into the good guys
I remember and still love the line!!!!
A guy at work asked us to help him move, and I said “ a friend in need is a pest”....popped the boys.

bobby heenan is such a classy man bless him
He definitely was. He was one of a kind. There'll never be another 'Brain'. Loved watching him and Monsoon go back and forth when I was a kid. They were a legendary comedy duo. My brother and I still quote them. "Will you stop!?"
@@charlescarter4608 Bobby Heenan the defenition of real Talent ! Bobby and Gorilla made WWF fun with their skits and jokes on the mic
Man, 3 legends. We’ve lost all 3 of them now. Unreal. RIP Mean Gene, Bobby The Brain, & Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Rest In Peace Bobby Heenan. You'll be missed!

That host whether he realises or not was just sitting with gold in human form IMO
of course he realizes it... why do you think he had them as guests on his show?
RedroomStudios Lansberg is a tool
gene oakerlund looks the same as he did in the 80's
THIS WAS IN 1992
YE I WAS WRONG IT WAS 05 CHEERS MATE NICE ONE I JUST CHECKED IT
john chrysostomou yeah, if that was 1992, it wouldn’t make any sense for him to ask them why wrestling isn’t as good as it was in 1999. Lol.
3 amazing men in their profession , and so sad all 3 are gone. yet good we can still see this and enjoy them
GOD REST THE SOULS OF THESE THREE LEGENDS.
3 legends who are no longer with us, what a shame 😢
dang. bobby the brain. just brilliant! "you shave don't you??? learn to talk!!" so true.
Can't believe how funny and bright Bobby was. He always makes me laugh
They were phenomenal and made wrestling so much more entertaining. Gene was great and nobody can compare to him. No manager can compare to Bobby he was funny but sarcastic. Hot rod just pure talent. RIP Bobby, Roddy and Gene
Mean Gene's voice is like warm chocolate in my ears.
oh, and... Roddy Piper has been stabbed 3 times by enraged fans? that is crazy lol
And I was one of those fans.
Mean Gene had one of those voices that was just unique. If you heard it, you knew, it was Mean Gene Okerlund.
RIP all 3 legends.😢😢😢
I could listen to Gene talk for hours.
Bobby Heenan was a real gem RIP
Bobby is such a good fella. I REALLY miss him not being in wrestling. ALL these guys need to come back. Gene should have been JR's sidekick....I like Jerry, but I miss Gene. As a kid I always liked the heels. Bobby was the ultimate heel. Bobby made me laugh and still does when I watch his old videos. RIP to all these guys. Thanks for the entertainment guys.

One of the best interviews I've ever seen. Lol I never thought I'd see Mene Gene speaking in his regular voice.
-Don Rubix
Bobby Heenan looks good there compared to what he looks like now. Poor guy.
selfie kroos It's a damn shame about his health.
He's lost half his face. Damn.
selfie kroos It's heartbreaking seeing vids of him now, but he's tough as nails. A fighter for sure.
Rest In Peace To All 3 Of These Legends.
Hard to believe how easy it was to take all this talent for granted back then.
Heenan & Piper, my #1 & #2 talkers (in order). Nobody was better or faster than those 2, and the best part is they'd both back up that the other is the quickest they'd ever seen.
They are all gone!! 😥😪😫 RIP to these trio of greats.
When today you realize that not one of them are with us now ... Its really sad I really feel that the good times in pro wrestling is gone. It will never ever be the same again.
Rip micheal landsberg :(

Loved watching Bobby the Brain and Rowdy Piper go at each other on WWF Prime Time truly was classic
Stop interrupting them!
OhMagnetz Time limit show, ding dong
@Masterr Laster Let 'em take over the show then. Maybe it'll actually be entertaining that way.
man I forgot how good the brain was....still as sharp as razor...
I was lucky as a kid to grow up when I did. Pro wrestling was so much better when I was a kid and these three were a big reason why.
Legends, how much we appreciated all their hard work and entertainment.
Omgosh they're all passed away. So sad.
Yea it is heart breaking.
This has been really delightful. I totally love this interview 😂❤
I love all three of these guys
Perfect Heenan @ 21:40! Right when the bumper for credits hits, he sneaks in a jab! Greatest EVER! HEENAN!
Sad that all 3 are passed away. 😕
Mean Gene voice is priceless
Just amazing! RIP to all 3.
Hearing Bobby and Gene talk, you just understand why they were masters at what they did.
Such a Shame that all 3 are now gone, and far too soon. 3 absolute CLASSY legends.

Man Bobby’s quick witted response when Roddy said he had been stabbed 3 times made me laugh 13:13

Wow I've never seen this. I'm psyched to watch! #LEGENDS
"I see the New York Port Authority had a garage sale!" That's epic!!
All three of these greats are gone. Part of my childhood still mourns their passing...

I wish he didnt cut them off constantly missed out on a great opportunity
Pack of legends.
Over there in Belfest, Scotland.
Some of the greatest talkers in the history of professional wrestling. No one like em...wrestling is missing passionate talkers, interviewers, managers.
Great interview
The legends, when wrestling was fun to watch. I remember watching little Wally talking with all the big guys.
