Bro her fucking life was ruined.
She tried to downplay it affecting her but one day she was Chyna this groundbreaking woman wrestler and the next her future husband left her for her boss's daughter and they fired her from her life's work. That's a complete bombshell to one's every aspect of life. Yea she coulda pulled herself together but she's not alone with the path she chose and judging her in this case I think she was wounded beyond repair and judging her is wrong.

She was also beautiful and well-spoken. She was in a a league of her own and was just the total package. I was 13 when I first saw her wrestle (when she started in WWF) and she was my first celebrity crush. She got screwed over by her past and the business and had so much more to offer than what she was given. Towards her later years she got into drugs and porn and was just never the same and I feel as though it was the personification of wasted potential in her case.

She was a great person. She really handled herself with class and dignity here, but there was only so much she could take before she went down a dark path. WWE absolutely treated her like garbage and I believe were a huge factor in her downfall. They fired her unjustly in terrible circumstances, and then wouldn't let her use the name Chyna which hurt her career. She tried so hard in the years after WWE to get her life and career in a good place and she just couldn't do it, it's very tragic. I find her story one of the saddest and most unique when it comes to dead celebrities.

Joseph Wilson is correct. She was offered 400000 by the WWE plus merchandising royalties and pay per view royalties. Most of Degeneration X liked to party hard. That's why Paul Levesque went solo. He wanted to focus on his career. Chyna was addicted to cocaine, meth, and a bunch of pills. She thought she was worth a 1 million dollar contract and left WWE.

Exactly. It was WWE's fault for booking her the way they did. She was competing against men, and making it look legitimate, and then they just expected it to be believable that she'd have trouble with the women? They had a couple of good female wrestlers at the time, but it was hardly a division that Chyna would've thrived in.

We can see that Chyna is confident here about her life. Yet she was blackballed by the Mcmahons. Not allowed to wrestle in their organization again. At the height of her popularity & career they ripped it from her. She made them many millions of dollars. Paul , Triple H blind sided Chyna with his deal with Stephanie Mcmahon. Her personal life & career was ripped from her at the same time. I believe possibly that the Mcmahons had her blackballed in other areas of entertainment as well. She couldn't seem to get hired in other areas. Over the years she was treated like garbage from these people. It seemed she just became beaten down by it all after so many yrs. So sad that this confident and vibrant lady flamed out and died so tragically. It's tough that there are some people who are hurt by others so bad they can't recover. The pain of having her career ripped away was too much but you choose a career in politics, sales, or any other where the interaction with peoples' emotions and feelings are the deciding factor rather than hard facts and figures (engineer, scientist, accountant, etc.) you're bound to get hurt. How you respond to the let downs and the pain aka; how you bounce back from rejection and disappointment is the deciding factor of whether you're going to be successful. If you're a sensitive soul like Joanie was, you should think twice about a career where personal integrity isn't highly valued, where playing fast and loose with the truth and with peoples' feelings is a way of life.

Man she speaks really well. Such a shame her life and career went the way it did. Honestly, I felt she was going to sound like a drunk incoherent person like she is made out to be but she is the complete opposite. She really deserved better if she stayed clean and off drugs.

Chyna was always my favorite female wrestler growing up. WWE always tends to drop people and then when it's too late, they try to make amends. Love you Chyna!

I absolutely loved Chyna. I was so saddened by her passing. She was way ahead of her time and would have a field day in today's WWE where the women have caught up with and, at times, superseded the men. As strong and tough as she appeared outwardly, I always sensed something tender and kind inside her. I always felt that being cut by the WWE and losing her boyfriend to upstart Stephanie did irreparable damage to her. She just tumbled into a dark place she could not get out of but tried to survive by using drugs. RIP Sweetie. Fan 4 life.

I doubt she would mainstream since she would be 52-53 by now. But in her youth vs Charlotte Flair who is also 5'10 would be interesting

Bleachreport came out with an article recently "The Great Fall of Chyna" (poor choice of words). But it goes much deeper into Chyna's life and it's a really tragic story. I feel awful for her, but now she's at peace. God rest your soul, Joanie.

That jaw surgery really helped. And damn that 90s era makeup is such a throwback.

She was such a sexy woman. Funny how such a physically amazing female was so vulnerable underneath. Not unlike Marilyn Monroe or others. God Bless You, Joanie.
