I've never watched one of your videos before but my compliments on the fantastic production value. Wow! Well lit, three cameras on sticks, everything in focus, everyone has a lav, good switching. It makes videos like this so much more enjoyable. It's like watching a professional TV show. It really pulls you into the experience instead of the lack of production values getting in the way of the game. Awesome!!! Actual game play starts at 18:45. Kinda wish the rules and the cards (if they don't already say this) had you use terminology found in the show. It's a ship so use nautical terms like forward and aft. Side phasers should be lateral phasers or port and starboard, etc. Just trying to stay in the theme here and speak like they do in the show and movies. Looks like a fun game and we're Trekkers anyway. This convinced me to get it. I'd probably allow for more cards in your hand or less threats coming out of that bag.

Errata 1:07:35 - All damage done in a single facing does not "overflow" a shield coming down. For that "threats fire" phase, a shield coming down is the end of the damage in that facing.

I think Dave was correct at 1:07:58 about only taking one damage, I'm not sure why he talked himself out of it. The only time you would take the damage equal to the ships defense would be if it boarded, which it wasn't doing because the shield was there. Dave also forgot to draw 2 more threat tokens at the end of his last turn but it didn't really effect the outcome anyway so I guess it didn't matter :)

It's beatable. Granted when you complete missions many bonuses provide both shield and hull repair so it's to beat the missions as fast as you can baring some insane draws of the threat bag. I prefer a challenge to co-op rather than beating the game every time much like Castle panic without it's expansions.
Since when do the tholian ship fire. They are only a danger at close range when they surround Enterprise with web and prevent it from moving. No firing from Tholians

I love your videos because you explain, play and talk about it with the just the right time of sidetalk throughout the entire video. So you teach, play and give some amusement in the right dose. However in this video there is just too much sidetalk for me. I am not a "Trekkie" but I love the coops games. But after you completed mission 1 I had to retreat from your game. You had a lot of fun and is fully understandable you compare, talk and implement at an instant Star Trek situations. Just too much for me. nevertheless "Beam me up Scotty!" to your next great game.

I love watching your series, your interactions with each other, your passion, etc. I also agree with many others that your production and various camera angles are great. But, I'm sorry to say this one was painful to watch. After Lincoln's initial play that whole next 2 rounds was so chaotic to watch. I hope you all reconsider reshooting or ST Panic redux....way too much time going in circles in explanations in this one.
And please don't take it in anyway badly... It's probably more me not being au fait with the original Castle Panic or any Star Trek lingo that doesn't help...!!

i love castle panic. it took me longer than id like to admit before i realized thats what this game was only star trek themed.

I think this is the first game since Sentinels I've actually played before you had a video on it. Was a lot of fun to watch.
They actually hired Scotty because of his ability to do a lot of accents. Also a reason he did so much on the animated show.

The Enterprise can move forward which is simulated by moving the objects in front of it towards the ship.
she could've turned the enterprise then moved the other ship with the tractor beam and rear phasered it twice

Tholians fire as normal until they reach short range, at which point they fire until shields are down, then use web instead boarding.

Ahhhh, I assume that would let us flip it 180 so the arrow is in front?
I guess it also eliminates some rules mistakes due to visuals. In some places the side damage was placed on the engines instead of the dish itself.
I've played neither game but this looks better than Castle Panic.
