Yes they are the best. You have to look at thinking behind the pairing. Arteta in my opinion has modelled this defensive 2 from the mertersacker and kosc partnership. Where one was aggressive and the other a calm head. But that partnership had major weaknesses. Per with his pace and kosc with his lack of ability to play out from the back, but defensively they were very very good together. Saliba and Gabriel don’t have those weaknesses. The only thing they lack is experience.
If Arsenal can get these three players for next season, I'd be more than happy.
*Midfield. Everton's Amadou Onana.* Only 22 years old and a really intelligent powerhouse.
*Attacking winger. Nico Williams. Athletic Bilbao.* Only 21 years old, really fast and tricky and intelligent too.
*Striker. Benjamin Šeško.* RB Leipzig. Only 20 years old. Was clocked this or last year being faster than even PSG's Mbappe. He's big (6'5") and powerful and knows where the goal is.
All are quite young, all are currently rated as very good but all can be honed even more to be real super stars by Arteta and the Arsenal coaching staff.
If we can get those three plus any others that Arteta want, I'd be chuffed to bits. *We wouldn't just be a damn good team. We'd be bl00dy well scary too!*

I think that when the transfer window opens, it's going go be one of the most important ones in Arsenal's recent times.
It literally could be the difference of winning the league or not. And I'm sure that the other 3 big Premier teams, Spurs, Man. Utd. and Chelsea will be better next season. Maybe even Villa too!

The ball hit his upper arm not because he was trying to control the ball with arm BUT rather he was trying to get away from the high boot of the defender. If he doesn’t move the way he did, he’d have got kicked in the chest area. That’s what it looked like to me.

We have the best defence in the world with Timber in it. We add Isak, Joao Neves, Hato, Bakayoko and Dewsbury-Hall, we should be truly cooking. We obviously need to replace a departing Rambo with some quality back up as well.
