The only explanation for the video title and thumbnail is that Crim realized mantis rider is toilet paper in timeless but the goldfish team didn't want to waste the cute mantis thumbnail art.
Implying Crim doesn't happily play bad cards because they remind him of mid 2010's standard

Man I remember when Tarkir dropped that mantis all those years ago. That card felt SO GOOD at the time. 3 mana 3/3 with all those beautiful keywords.
I also remember when Rider was soon outclassed by Abzan decks...I still hate siege rhino to this day!
Timeless would have been a cool addition if the Economy on Arena wasn`t as shit and you didn`t need like 30+ rare wildcards to craft a deck.
my biggest problem with it is that it's only ranked. i brewed up a janky fun deck to play in timeless, but then realized i could only play it if i was willing to ruin my rank, lol. unfortunately my deck also cost 4 mythic wild cards and 8 rare wild cards that i will probably never use.
overall timeless gets a major yikes from me.
Yeah it's a bummer to see a lot of timeless players want to give wizards even more money by asking for anthologies or extra bundles, when it's already a format for whales

If you are not a whale you need to learn to draft to play Arena for as near to free as possible. I had playsets of most every card before Khans, crafted playsets of all the fetches and still have 190 rare and 76 mythic wildcards and haven't spent more than 40 on any set all year most the time just drop 20 on jems once per set.

@@TheEvolver311 yeah, i've put $15 in total in the last 4 years and have pretty close to set completion for all the sets since ravnica. i don't really understand all the complaints about the price. you just have to play regularly.

this is the only reason i don't watch crim's videos much any more. bo1 is pretty bad, especially for timeless.
Reminds me of my good ol savage knuckle blade deck. Khans was the first time i played standard and my deck won me alot of tournaments at my LGS.

I used to play Mantis Rider along with Lightning Angel in modern a long time ago before I replaced them with Geist, Queller and Resto Angel. It did quite good honestly.

One of my m8's plays 4 of mantis in his soldier deck, works really well, almost guaranteed dmg and the rest of us has to spend stuff removing it.
This kind of title is offensive. If I want to play with a card I will play with the freaking card, and shame on you for trying to moke me because of it
