Never ever lie to your viewers in order to please a company. You guys here as influencers have a lot of influence on us as consumers and a whole lot of us put our trust in your videos, opinions and findings. Always be your authentic selves and never sell out. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I thought you were a reviewer rather than a beta tester. Your opinion and experiences are priceless, and if Extreme Bull/Begode are going to cut off your supply of demo wheels because you tell the truth they do so at their peril. Thanks to everyone who participated in this GT adventure...and thank you Marty for your integrity. 👊
Good for you Marty! Much respect for your honest opinions and keeping it real. Its not like you blasted it. It’s their own damn fault for sending it out in the condition it was in.
Begode/EB are doing themselves a disservice by complaining about the negative initial review. It's the manufacturer's responsibility to deliver a presentable product, "early prototype" or not. You've already gone beyond by troubleshooting the wheel on your own and in throughout the course of this one, you've shown that your original diagnosis was wrong and that the actual problem was as simple as a poorly connected wire that could be easily remedied. QC and workmanship have always been pain points for Begode/EB up until very recently (apparently still is), and while we can praise them for improvement, it's equally valuable to push for better. If they don't want to send you anymore wheels for reviews, then that's on them. If anything, they are lucky it went to a group that is more capable of diagnosing and pinpointing the exact issue. Had this thing gone out to less technically inclined individuals, they would have likely gotten hurt riding the damn thing and created an even bigger PR nightmare than this did. Perhaps they should feel less pressured from veteran's shiny new wheel and not rush out a half dozen new wheels to compete in every single segment possible. Personally, I think their comment about not liking the initial review does more damage than the review itself does🤣
Your integrity is appreciated Marty, I've been watching your content since day one, and you're still one of VERY few content creators that I still personally trust 1000 % and ive made unwavering choices based on the information you put out, (never been disappointed) so thanks ! and keep up the great example tha goes beyond the euc landscapes in today's society.
I appreciate your views, your tech skills and your wonderfull contributions over the years. Thanks to you and Roger for giving us valuable and honest info. When it comes to the chauvinism of certain EUC producers / bosses they can get stuffed.
If it wasn't for you Marty. Euc's would not be what they are today. They would still be considered toys. With your knowledge and rigorous testing over the years. You helped raise the bar of the electric unicycle industry. If they stop sending you wheels it's their Big Loss.
You've been really kind to these clowns over the years, highlighting the many innovations they brought to the wonderful world of EUCs. All the while relativizing the many quality and usability problems as tradeoffs. I listen to reviewers before making my purchases exactly for that, an honest opinion and detailed description of the good and bad. Please do not let them intimidate you by using kindergarten tactics, keep "telling it like it is". Even if some things have improved over the years on some wheel models, this is a dead giveaway that company culture has not changed. To do that you need to leave and start a new company!
That threat is a huge PR disaster for Begode/ExtremeBull, shame on them! You've been in the EUC community since the beginning and always offered unbiased and factual reviews. You had valid criticism and they didn't like hearing the constant comparisons to the competition so they threw a tantrum.
Why is Begode upset? You've had nothing but good feedback with regard to their latest wheel. It's noble to insist on giving genuine reviews, and a crucial, much appreciated service to the community - including the manufacturers, even if they (temporarily) won't see it. I really hope they'll come around for the sake of all parties. Well done Marty! Thank you!
I’ve always loved your honesty in your videos and telling it like it is good or bad. If these companies can’t take constructive criticism then they should just send all the demo wheels to that one half naked chic Aubsome or whatever her name is. I appreciate all you’ve done for the EUC community 🙏🏼
I'm hardly surprised, remember when they changed name because of bad safety reputation, in this case battery 🔥 But all praise to Mr mountains, he shall not be moved!
Any EUC company should understand your value as a highly valued skilled person in the world wide EUC community. If they can’t understand that, then they don’t understand marketing either. I enjoyed this video with you and Roger having both fun and also examining the EUC.
I have owned 9 wheels... v5, v8, v10/F, Tesla, Nikola 100v, MSP, EXN, KS S18. The V10 still is working.... 5 or so years later... but ever single one of Gotways wheels .. minus the Nikola have failed... and have not been able to be repaired. Even the Nikola has failed twice over its life span.. but have been able to fix and keep it running. The MSP has 3 board failures and one was even on first receiving the wheel. The EXN only lasted 4 months, April 2022 to August 2022. I live in a valley so i end up going downhill right from my house a fair distance. There is no failsafe for overvolting the batteries by regenerative braking IE: the regenerative braking will not stop when the battery is at or near full. This fried the board.. damage the motor .. and blew the batteries and sent me straight to the hospital.. what a fun experience. Worst of all it was not able to be repaired even by eevees of vancouver... Jason was the only one that tried to help with the matter. The kingsong s18 worked pretty decent .. but eventually within the year had battery failures... two of the 4 batteries fried and went sub 40v. So iv had bad luck with gotway.. and they really just keep cutting corners all the time with their wheels... remember they release 6-10 wheels a year.. and within 3 you can't really even find parts for them anymore. Such a shame.
It's understandable they want to look good. But why are they ignoring perhaps the best way and it's to listen to feedback provided in these videos? It's not like we are pointing fingers and laughing at the companies. There were smiles, a joke or two, and importantly no injuries. That's respect. As a consumer I love to see when things are fixed after they're discovered in the videos. Don't be embarrassed.❤
Stay true hide nothing , honesty is the best policy my man, at least you can sleep at night .. once the dust settles they will send you wheels and if they don’t what the heck man , we think you and the gang are awesome Marty 👍👍 great great video
Marty, We enjoy your reviews and believe you more than silly euc companies that don't engineer a good quality product! And don't look after customers or the reviewer
Great tear down video Marty - thanks for sharing. Assembly looks to of been somewhat sloppy and in other aspects some bad technical solutions have been implemented as well perhaps, IMHO. The cables exciting the top section should be grommet-ed in order to prevent wires being exposed to the frame where they pass through. In addition, they could use 'goop' in combination with a grommet to further mitigate water ingress. There might well be a better technical solution than that though (?). The phase connectors could/should be bayonet/screw-type connectors to ensure there's no possibility of them popping out. Ones that provide tactile feedback may have been helpful here. I couldn't quite tell what they were using here but they didn't appear to have a securing mechanism... just a male to female socket? Pre-production unit or not, that is 100% the fault of the manufacturer and if they fail to acknowledge that, it only makes the hole they're digging for themselves deeper. Being this is such a niche activity, and taking into account the number of potential viewers, I hope they can provide some clarity about the situation, admit responsibility, and get it all sorted so the story finishes on a positive note.

Through you, they get multiple Test Riders. Yourself, Roger, Dawn, and all your friends in the ride groups. This is good for the company imho. Heck, I'd love to get a test wheel. Just to test out for these companies. I'm not into the high speed riding. I'm into long distance riding. Your riding wheels to hang out with your brother really interests me. And the Trail Riding on The Loop. Slow steady, road and off-road. Though mostly pavement riding. THANK YOU MARTY for Honesty. Don't change. I'm turning 50 the 12th, March, and plan on ordering a EUC now I have a long range EbIke. So I'm more ok with 30-60 mile range with a EUC for fun riding.
I've only made it about 6 minutes in, and I feel like your friend "Reggie" has really made an influence. Lol Love you guys, and F "them" if they don't like the truth
If they don’t want you to comment on a preproduction wheel, they shouldn’t send you one, or at least have you sign an NDA or something before accepting it, Bad move by Begode.
He got his wheels from distributors, only they can force him to sign a NDA. If that happens, its not a review, it would be a promo video. Only fools would trust only promo videos on rapid prototype EUC.
Begode wheels still make me nervous. Their track record with flaming wheels speaks for itself. I know its gotten better, but the QA on this wheel don't give me warm fuzzies. QA is what separates a good company from great company. At least Jason at eWheels is great, and he always takes care of his customers. His customer service is second to none. Great video Marty. Thanks for what you do, and having standards!
I do try to remind people that Extreme Bull does assemble their own wheels and their quality is a step lower than Begode's. So don't let this wheel taint your opinion of Begode.
Yeah please Marty keep doing what you're doing. Them trying not get honest feedback just looks bad on them and I'm sure Jason will keep hooking you up with wheels because you're breakdowns provide a ton of value. Screw what they say and the more you grow they'll just have to suck if up because you'll have influence. Just a small temporary setback that's all. Also I just want to add what a bunch of b******* to assume that they're going to significantly change these early batch wheels. I don't believe for a second that they would not use goop on the production boards or make the cnc edges less sharp. I would bet money that they planned to just leave it like that and also how would they even know if nobody gives them feedback. To be fair they did do a lot of revisions of like the master and the extreme and the T4 and maybe Marty should preface strongly that that's the case but at the same time this would be the wheel that someone is most likely getting not some future iteration. And even if they do make improvements they're not likely to pass that down to the early batch buyers.
Any company that black lists reviewers for (checks notes) reviewing, is not a company I will buy from. Thanks for letting us know! Will be using your link for buying a lynx
Why do manufactures think that because their wheel has had negative comments in respect to certain aspects of their build, performance, quality that immediately means no one is going to buy it? We won't be buying it if we haven't seen it tested by people such as yourself and that's for sure. How much better if they had embraced your comments, point out that the wheel is pre-production certainly, but make assurances that the faults you have identified will not be present when the production model goes to market. I mean you have done testing for them, you're helping them. Maybe it's a culture thing. I mean I have a Master, when I think of the bad press Begode has had, and the problems the Master had suffered - but I bought it for its virtues, and I have had problems (and had to do modifications), but I do not regret the buy, and I'm very happy with the wheel. Customer Service is every bit as important as a product working out of the box - in the case of the Master it was the UK supplier (Speedy Feet) that saved their arse (working with Begode), protecting their reputation in the process. Easier to mount the machine with a lower pedal (foot plate). A simple build error, but the consequences of it could have been horrendous. They really cannot dispatch a wheel in that condition pre-production or not. Finally such an easy fix and given they won't make that mistake again (some assurance), Extreme Bull should not have been upset. So Extreme Bull the better response, take the feedback with grace, do something about it , tell your reviewers what you will do/ have done on the production model (A bit of QC in this case).
Id like to say that is a garbage method of attaching the phase cables, especially in a vehicle which they know experiences hard leans, turns, stops and starts all the time during its usage. Inmotion attaches the phase cables to the board with screws, and this exact issue could never happen. Its not down to the individual assembly but rather the actual design of that connector. Excellent video Marty
Not only shoddy workmanship by Extreme Bull but bad design, those phase wire cables should have a better secure mechanism like either a large interlocking plug so either all the phase wires are unplugged or they're all connected Making it easier to troubleshoot visually & physically
Marty take "the Wisper's" as a compliment it indicates that your opinion is valued by your viewers. Threatening to restrict your access to products doesn't reflect well on Begode.
Yo brutha, it's time for us to start talking like a real man. I've been sugar-coatting too much, we've gotta start calling everything out for what it is
Given you recently broke an ankle on a wheel provided by Begode and could have been hurt even worse on the Commander GT Pro if not for the issue being highlighted by Roger, who fortuitously has cat like reflexes, I thought you went easy on them. No gasket, missing screws, phase wire not plugged in fully etc... They should be paying you danger money!
Begode is launching a brand new wheel (Falcon). This is probably why they don't want too much scrutiny in their buildwork because if people think the expensive wheel will dump you, imagine newbies trying a brand-new model . That would sink sales of it before it even launches.
Standards? We got standards?? I always thought if it beeps & balances, its good to go 😁. Kiddin Marty. IMO I think BG is still butt hurt you renamed their A2. TBH I think Assassin 2 is a cool name & also to be fair, the lift button is very easy to hit & even a very slight tap activates it. Other than that, I've been riding my Assassin over the winter on 3-4" power, hard packed stuff, over ice & all sorts of pool like puddles. Gotta say tho, EB should tidy up their internals & up their QA. Such small details makes for a cheap or premium experience
@@ElectricUnicycles Thats good to know! I cant remember how many times I hit the spin button (unintentional I might add 😅) on my 1st coupla rides. Drove me a bit nuts til I adjusted to be conscious & deliberate about it
The whole EUC market has put a bad taste in my mouth. Mainly the quality. I can't stand to be a beta tester when the products are sold as finished products.
Couldn't watch the other live stream, Held out for this one. I've never seen any major changes between production / pre production. Manufactures never disclose the changes publicly about the revisions - community shared info reveals this. Sent a pre-production wheels that is likely bound to fail and not sent a basic CAD assembly schematic. That sure makes life hard. Inmotion lead the way on the v14 with cold battery connectors when connecting. 168v live battery plugs and pop arking is just criminal. Prime example of the QC on a any wheel regardless of pre production or production. QC sucks on all these wheels. Never Sell Out. Great video
Begode actually gaining where they should improve their products but they choose to kill the messenger. I do like their product for the performance but I don't like their attitude and low quality assembly . I like the Leaper Kim more though.
A wheel that broke down and could have dumped you on your face and they don't like what you had to say about?? If they focus on making a great quality wheel with no short cuts, then they would have positive reviews. Can't put out half a$$ products and expect great reviews They should treat you guys as royalty since they do not advertise and people find out about their products through social media influencers. If you all didn't make videos/content about these products, all these companies would go out of business overnight. These companies don't even put great manuals in the product package. The EUC companies don't advertise nor do the dealers who sell them. It is all Social Media users promoting it. They should treat yall as royalty and cut a check while they at it
By pressuring the reviewer the viewers no longer really know if it's a 100% honest review anymore. That might not inspire confidence to make a purchase. Things could backfire for them.
If you cut an honest man's review off, then I am not ging to spend 4+ grand on your rapid prototypes. I don't plan on getting Leaper Kim's wheels as it has it own quirks, such as crappy screen, pedals, but maybe I should. Careful with your bs pratices Begode or you may Be g o n e.
I want to see the cringe look on the Begode team as they watch this video. My last Begode wheel was a Master batch 2 which had battery and rim/tire issues. Just childish response to your assessment, they should be thanking you for being their crash test dummy.
I just bhave to add & I appologize but This is one of the Ugliest wheels ever made & with just a few minor changes to the shape of the side battery boxes would make a world of a difference. & this being 110lbs & the et max 112lbs make them not a competitor for any riders who love 20inch ( it is the best size for off-road & on-road while not being too small where every bump is felt) These 2 wheels are effectivly not going to handle the lynx on dirt so if you are looking for just one wheel I wouldnt want these & I like begode as I have a EX-30 but the missed the point of the 130mm suspension with the weight! who is the common sense guy @ begode & are they hiring ;p. if they could have made the wheel 90lbs they would have had a lynx killer all around wheel ---Sadly another way to heavy wheel for anything buy big long race tracks. The ET max is the nicest looking Begode wheel so Far & I hope all who buy it love it & the commander gt pro. I will stick to my s22 batch 1 & ex-30 & my lynx ( dsont be like me & waste money on new wheels when I have $ buring in my hand & think the latest & greeatest is going to feel so much diff. ) It ISN't If you bought a wheel in the last 20 months you do NOT need a new wheel so enjoy what you have. If you are like me & cant resist I think out of all 3 of the 20 inch wheels the Lynx is far superior in everything except top speed which at my Height & weight dont care. Enjoy all.
They need to focus on both. They bash the TH-camr who send them all their business...these ECU companies don't advertise. 100% of their business is through Social media videos and word of mouth
Begode should be lucky they have people who want their wheels; the unemployment situation in China is getting really bad and their economy is very close to crashing.
ElectricUnicycles - Hey Marty - Pre-production or not, is it really the responsibility of reviewers to go over all of the wheel to make sure China did their job? Especially making sure cables are plugged in correctly? Have you been getting paid for quality inspection? Obviously, NO! Nothing about this video makes you look bad. You did your job. You received one of Begodes experiments, tried it out, it failed. You used your platform to address the issue, in hopes that Begode/EB makes the necessary changes. And wow, Begode get’s the benefit of a complete quality control, trouble shoot and maintenance team…for FREE!!!! It is a shame that you might not be getting anymore wheels from Begode/EB to review. That’s their loss. Time to move on to a company who cares enough to see these critical review videos as the valuable step towards making awesome wheels before they hit the general market.
Never ever lie to your viewers in order to please a company. You guys here as influencers have a lot of influence on us as consumers and a whole lot of us put our trust in your videos, opinions and findings. Always be your authentic selves and never sell out. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Hows that ankle??
🙏
Leaperkim forever, not a great look for Begode
💯 leaperkim. 💯 Innovation.
Best Two companies from what I see.
Kudos!
I love you guys 🤣🤣🤩🔥 You're the best haha such a simple fix what the f**k
In Marty, Roger, Dawn we trust. 😤👍. Not exactly in that order 😅
LOL
If Begode think upcoming wheels is not good enough to withstand Martys testing, it's not good enough for me to buy it.
Roger hell larious!
Any company that black lists reviewers for (checks notes) reviewing, is not a company I will buy from. Thanks for letting us know! Will be using your link for buying a lynx
If they don’t wish to supply wheels it’s no great loss, tells me everything I need to know about them.
🙏
Id like to say that is a garbage method of attaching the phase cables, especially in a vehicle which they know experiences hard leans, turns, stops and starts all the time during its usage. Inmotion attaches the phase cables to the board with screws, and this exact issue could never happen. Its not down to the individual assembly but rather the actual design of that connector. Excellent video Marty
Imagine dropping 4k on a high tech piece and finding the cables inside weren't attached.
To Roger the item Thingy was found to be an actual thing so there has been such an item created by some inventor.
What was wrong with the Lynx?
Slightly twisted frame (only noticeable during very aggressive riding)
I bought the Lynx because of this incident..... I have a commander pro......and wanted this bad... untilllllllllll
Ah welcome to the Begode blacklist 🎉
Not only shoddy workmanship by Extreme Bull but bad design, those phase wire cables should have a better secure mechanism like either a large interlocking plug so either all the phase wires are unplugged or they're all connected Making it easier to troubleshoot visually & physically
Marty take "the Wisper's" as a compliment it indicates that your opinion is valued by your viewers. Threatening to restrict your access to products doesn't reflect well on Begode.
Yo brutha, it's time for us to start talking like a real man. I've been sugar-coatting too much, we've gotta start calling everything out for what it is
❤️
Given you recently broke an ankle on a wheel provided by Begode and could have been hurt even worse on the Commander GT Pro if not for the issue being highlighted by Roger, who fortuitously has cat like reflexes, I thought you went easy on them. No gasket, missing screws, phase wire not plugged in fully etc...
They should be paying you danger money!
damn, what a pita.
That motor looks like a Gotway part bin from 2017. I am sure that outdated part didn’t help w/ QC. 4 k for boosted junkyard scraps 😂 #FREEMARTY
Begode is launching a brand new wheel (Falcon). This is probably why they don't want too much scrutiny in their buildwork because if people think the expensive wheel will dump you, imagine newbies trying a brand-new model . That would sink sales of it before it even launches.
I ride a Master, but I'll switch to leaperkim or something on my next wheel if they can't take responsibility and want to be sith lords about it lol
For those who came here only to see Marty shitting his pants, you can skip to 29:45 😛
Lift button is not active above a few mph :-)
@@ElectricUnicycles Thats good to know! I cant remember how many times I hit the spin button (unintentional I might add 😅) on my 1st coupla rides. Drove me a bit nuts til I adjusted to be conscious & deliberate about it
There’s reasons while I’ll NEVER own a Begode/Gotway/EB wheel.
The whole EUC market has put a bad taste in my mouth. Mainly the quality. I can't stand to be a beta tester when the products are sold as finished products.
All the work that goes into making these videos that they don't pay you for AND they want you to look out for their interests... That's wild
Great video
Is roger an electrician?
No
@@ElectricUnicycles he’s so knowledgeable!
So tire change. How easy?🧐
Relatively easy. Once you know how (see video), access to the tire is relatively quick.
Can't put out half a$$ products and expect great reviews
They should treat you guys as royalty since they do not advertise and people find out about their products through social media influencers.
If you all didn't make videos/content about these products, all these companies would go out of business overnight. These companies don't even put great manuals in the product package. The EUC companies don't advertise nor do the dealers who sell them. It is all Social Media users promoting it. They should treat yall as royalty and cut a check while they at it
Quel dommage que je ne vous comprenne pas !
Enjoy all.
Disney called and said they're not sending you anymore Minnie Mouses because you're three dimensional.
Begotway should focus on better QC instead of marketing
They reap what they sow
They need to focus on both. They bash the TH-camr who send them all their business...these ECU companies don't advertise. 100% of their business is through Social media videos and word of mouth
Begode should be lucky they have people who want their wheels; the unemployment situation in China is getting really bad and their economy is very close to crashing.
Maybe US could start paying back what they owe China and then their economy would be the best in the world.
