As soon as BFG and Cloud's Buster were mentioned I know this list wouldn't have the ACTUAL biggest weapons in games. Metal Gears count as weapons so not having them on the list is a damn shame

One that immediately springs to mind is Sargeras' sword at the end of WoW's Legion expansion. Much like #1 on this list, impaled the whole planet of Azeroth. You can actually visit the hilt sticking out of the desert, making you feel very puny.
Right? Wtf, it's literally the biggest anything in the entire world of WoW, if you jump from the pommel it can take upwards of a full minute to hit the ground.
@@Darek_B52 there are progress/ health gauges in the game you can swap out for different effects. One of the negative and more difficult ones was the “No HUD/ invisible HUD gauge”,which if you play thru the game with it unlocks the “auto counter” gauge, which is the best one in the game and makes an already easy game, trivial to complete with S ranks, even on “Hard”.
To anyone who hasn’t played Asuras wrath, if you have a Playstation, use the 7 day free trial for the PSNow. It’s worth it! Your looking at around 10 hours of jaw dropping action, music, style, and a great story! It’s my all time favorite game, ahead of Star Wars battlefront 2 (classic) and that says a lot!
If I remember correctly you can trade it with Marines in a couple of the Halo games soon as he said only Spartans can pick it up I was kind of pissed I feel like he just looked at the name and assumed oh only a Spartan can use it

Cloud's sword isn't absurdly long, some of the longest historical two handed swords were nearly as long however Cloud's is extremely bulky and unwieldy heavy.
reminds me of an old Apple RPG game...damn, i forgot the name, dragon something... anyway, it's possible to find a unique weapon called the "gatling bow". it uses ammo like crazy, BUT, much EARLIER in the game, you can find a unique Magic Quiver with infinite arrows! have one character equip both, and he will be doing up to 120 damage PER TURN. (30 shots per turn, 1-4 damage each)

I was gonna say the Axe Legion in Astral Chain is a living sword in and of itself. The game classifies it technically as a Bardiche which is a bladed spear to grossly oversimplify, but if you're playing the game, the entire forearm of that legion is a sword absolutely longer than the legion is tall. And the Axe Legion is a towering figure, even taller than your character's dad. The thing's sword arm is big enough that you as the player can use it to hide behind if you need to block an attack, and it covers most of you. The thing is enormous.
Hay gameranx you forgot a really important weapon! The **Blade of the Gods** in God of War 1 and 2. Kratos even used the sword while he was fighting Ares!
If Guren Lagann had a dedicated video game associated with the franchise, it would have a weapon the size of the entire cosmos and beat every other entry hands down!

Number 2 reminded me of armored core's "Ultimate Weapons" that, in order to use, it requires sacrificing alot going into battle. One of them you carry with you, and when you equip it, you UI going haywire, your entire arm gets blown up, you take damage and the weapon gets attatched to your arm for a one-shot weapon. Once the weapon timer finishes, the weapon it dropped and your stuck with one less arm and two three less weapons.
The Augus v Azura fight is some of the most sheer Awesome ever committed to the videogame format. How a PS4 remaster never happened I have no idea, here's hoping for a super cleaned up 4k 60fps PS5 version!
I liked the list, here are a couple of my favourites that weren't mentioned. The RYNO from Racthet and Clank games, basically a minigun but for rockets. And not sure if this is more vehicle than weapon but the leviathan from unreal
Did you miss the part where Johnson has the Spartan laser for a whole level? Granted he was a Spartan 1 but they aren't as augmented as the Spartan 2s.
I would say the DShK machine gun from the Far Cry series should also be on this list. The thing is huge, stationary and destroys everything in its path
Honorable mention (just because you don't actually get to really wield it in game, you just watch as it's fired): the Crucible, Mass Effect 3. 10km in length. If you want to count the Citadel as well, which is a part of the weapon, it's about 45km total.

It's no surprise that Asura Wrath gets in the first place. After all, it gives the vibe of Cultivation setting a bit, but with an alien touch here and there. And cultivator stories always have a way to go beyond...
Hmm, considering that the only Spartan’s can pick up the Spartan Laser due to its heft, I think it’d be cool if 343 Studios would add some effects to really sell the power of the gun. For instance it’d be cool if when you fired it, it’d actually kick up dirt, and ruffle grass and foliage in close proximity to the laser as if it were creating a large gust of wind in its wake; perhaps. Not wind that’d push players back or actually alter gameplay, but just something to help enhance the sense that this is not a weapon for mere mortals. I know it’s a laser so it wouldn’t really do that, but it’s a game and it’d help give a visual for the power behind it.
@@ericb3157 Yeah, it's a shame this video only seems to count guns and swords, not something that's more like a space station built to be a weapon. Small correction though, the 7 rings in the main games are slightly smaller than Earth, but the original 12 rings were almost 3 times Earth's size.
In Lost Planet 2 (which multiplayer is still active on Xbox One and Xbox 360 cross compatible multiplayer) there is the Support Cannon which can transform into a huge sword for a single attack and kill everyone on the map in one swing. The same cannon can also make a black hole too I think. But they are very rare weapons to see since no one knows how to active the button press.
The Spartan Laser CAN actually be picked up and used by people other than spartans. After the falcon ride in the level New Alexandria (Halo Reach) you have to prime two missile batteries. When you prime the one furthest from your drop location, a marine comes over with one of the lasers and actually uses it.

The sword of Gaius (the 3rd Colossus in shadow of the Colossus) is so huge, you have to climb it and run on it in order to reach the top of it's holder
Actualy, back in time, when i played doom II, the plasma gun damages everything on your screen once it hits a wall, no matter wich direction you shoot, if you are looking for a enemy they will get damage

I've been playing around with the nuke gun from mass effect 2. Its hilarious it completely disintegrates everything. Tough finding ammo for it though

Asura's wrath is absolutely insane and one of the most unique gaming experiences ever imo. It's so over the top it's practically in another galaxy

In Planescape Torment, there is a spell that opens a portal to a giant cannon which then fires through the portal.

Actualy, back in time, when i played doom II, the plasma gun damages everything on your screen once it hits a wall, no matter wich direction you shoot, if you are looking for a enemy they will get damage
