Chief Moon Wolf... You are AWESOME! A'HO! I've been trying to teach myself Cherokee, but I'm unsure of myself. You've brought soooooo much joy to my simple life. Thank you! I'm a quarter Cherokee. My mother was half, her biological father was full Medicine Cherokee. She's past... She was my teacher. I want to teach our ways to my grandchild. My Great grandmother is buried in Viola Arkansas. I love the way you teach for us simple people. Lol... Thank you!

My grandmother was Cherokee, from Georgia. I have always tried to honor her and all Native Americans in word and deed. Now to learn the language is the greatest gift of all. I can't thank you enough for your teachings. I ask you to please continue these lessons!

Siyuu Chief Moon Wolf, Thank you so much for showing us the Cherokee language, the true language. I am half Cherokee, Dad from Oklahoma. Not sure which tribe I was to young to get to know my father lost at very young age. But very proud of my Native heritage. And wanted to learn the way's of my culture. I have been told some family of mine where on the trail of tears unfortunately. Thank You so much. Adassligi

metalman6851, I have a similar problem. I have been told I am Cherokee on both sides of my parents. my father was born in Minko Oklahoma. his parents divorced and paper trail is almost non existent. it's as if the gov did everything they can to keep us from proving who has any Indian blood line. On my mother's side I was told she is black foot. while doing genealogy I found great grandmother's name on the list surprisingly. I am so grateful to Chief Moon Wolf for teaching our language so I can learn our heritage. Hopefully we can teach our children and grandchildren so our heritage is not lost. God blessAnn

Siyuu Chief Moon Wolf Thank you so very much for taking your time to teach the Cherokee language. I have longed to learn the language. Through research I found that my ancestors belonged to the Eastern Band. I was taking lessons of the Western Band which was awesome, but I wanted to stay true to my ancestors and I found your site. Sgi doesn't express my gratitude for what you are doing to keep the Eastern Band Cherokee alive. I look forward to your videos . Again Sgi Chief Moon Wolf. Sincerely William

I am a Rromani Sami mixture from Norway, both languages have been forbidden by our so called government until relatively recently. It is wonderfull for me to see you sharing your language and that gives me hope in a world of forced assimilation and also i love your story of speaking Cherokee with your dogs,i do something similar with other creatures in nature here where i live as i have no Dog,thankyou.

Thank you Chief Moon Wolf for your very interesting and well executed lessons. Your pronunciation is extremely clear and easy to catch on to. My family is from Murphy, Cherokee County, North Carolina. I was born in Los Angeles California and grew up there and Oregon from the fifth grade on. we found many obsidian indian arrowheads on our property. I wasn't thinking of learning to speek Cherokee but after seeing how easy you make it to sound and how I found I was able to replicate the intricate vocal inflections of the language I felt interested in pursuing it. your a good teacher. Very important work. Thank you.😊

never realized that the eastern bands of The Cherokee Nation used the same words, spellings, and pronunciation as the central (Oklahoma) bands syllabary, but words have different meanings here, even though I speak only the basics as in, okay, hello, thank you, stop, few proper nouns..... still very interesting! after reading the comments I just have to say neither or any dialect is the TRUE or ORIGINAL, rather, after the Trail the language had to develop seperatly. because that is what happens to living languages they evolve and change with new ideas and generations. (side note: does anyone still speak the dialect that uses th instead of d?)
