I swear, T1 is the only team that is expected to not only win every game they play, but also play perfectly at all times. They just beat 2 of the top 4 other teams in the league, they are still a top 3 or 4 team in the world. But people will still call them "bad" because they didn't win hard enough.

I think it’s evident that Faker’s injury does still affect him somewhat. Because the last word i would describe faker as a while is inconsistent, something that he has been ever since that oriannna match at the last lck finals.
GuKe has been struggling though for different reasons.
And it’s just from the plain simple fact that the meta DOES NOT suit them. And also the fact that keria just…. Lost his ability to use melee supports? Idk if you know this but at his peak, Keria is notorious with thresh and naut. Two champs that he doesn’t look as good as on nowadays.

Are you insane, 1 if it's additive it'd be too broken, 2 if it's multiplicative then you just get diminishing returns so it wouldn't be very good anyway. I'm assuming you mean if one has 40 percent the other has another 40 it totals to 80 that would invalidate a lot of sustain champions and would promote burst champions which then would prompt you to btch about them
@@marcusmarfe5514 Well, you assumed wrong. Additive stacking would mean that three people having grievous would completely negate all healing, and negation is very rarely a fun or engaging game mechanic.
Just saying that "it wouldn't be very good" isn't really a good argument either. The point is that in a multiple on 1 scenario, multiple instances should have an effect (see previous statement on negation, your items should do things).
In a multiplicative stacking case, 1 is 60% healing (40% reduction, 60% healing), 2 would be .36 or 36% (.6*.6), 3 for .216 or 21.6%, 4 for .1296 or~13%, 5 for .07776 ~8%, in rare cases where you have a full stacked team with grievous and a varus or a katarina you could reach 6 (4.7%) or 7 (2.8%) which is very close to zero, but if your entire team is spec'd into it, there should be a very large effect. I would say that that is definitely not "not very good anyway" as there is a notable effect with each addition, but also still allows for some amount of healing.
There is still a level of healing even in a 1v5, but being able to outheal a 1v5 shouldn't be possible in all but the most extreme scenarios IMO, as it isn't really fun for everyone, only the 1.
Having Grievous wounds stack would allow teams to combat brawlers who heal via strategy, by forcing them into engagements against multiple opponents who counter them, rather than just hoping and praying that you either have enough damage to outdo their healing (with DD good luck) in a brute force method, or enough CC to stop healing (which see previous comment about negation not being fun).
Grievous not stacking leads to an anti-brawler meta about stun-locking and one-shotting, and if the correct way to play a game is prevent someone from playing it, I'd say that that is a categorical failure of balance. In Pro play a little more freedom can be given for such serious strategies and ignorance of fun, but having only one viable way to achieve a task also strangles the creativity of the players. I for one don't want to see brawlers 1v5ing leading to another Aatrox meta like 2022 because it was boring and same-y every game.
Futhermore, characters like aatrox with in-built healing become OP in metas where they are able to scale to late game and have more healing than anyone else can. Being able to stack lifesteal, omnivamp, spirit visage, and now even sundered sky, to heal to full from one auto attack even under grievous wounds (the item meant to counter it), means that effectively grievous wounds is useless.
In a situation where multiple instances of grievous wounds stack, you could counter brawlers with intelligence, rather than being forced to play their brawling game.
To be clear, brawling is fun and by all means should be an option, which is why I don't advocate for grievous wounds negating healing, and why grievous wounds should remain a unique item effect so one person can't just buy only grievous and be the antihealer. But it also shouldn't be the *only* option, like it effectively is now.
This is also more from the perspective of existing engagements and team fights, as poke can exist to counter brawlers in the in-between times; however, if brawlers with high healing are allowed to hit a minion wave, or a jungle camp, or just ignore it and run in via any number of ults or abilities (bard ult, kalista ult, tahm kench ult+w, nami wave, any form of cc chain or ferry ability, or just a personal dash), they can all too quickly negate that strategy entirely.

Remove the tumor(healing) from your brain for a second, his enemies literally never had the damage to kill him, its literally a Gnar and a Leona (thats behind) with a good itemization from Aatrox for that scenario (his healing is now super tied to health items and ult only btw). Also your suggestion about either multiplicative or additive grievous are both sht. Picking a draintank or a healer support is setting yourself to get cuked by 5-6 stacking grievous when healer supports already go behind in lane. Healing rn is literally at its most minimal form and somehow we still have peeps like you.

@@justamuart first off no need to be so agressive "lol". Secondly, I don't think you watched the same game if you think Gnar was behind? T1 was behind in gold, but Gnar was even (technically half an item up, but since it was negatron, it's kinda useless here), and building damage, not tank Gnar. I'll concede that even when going damage, Gnar is more of a brawler than straight dps, but they did have quite a bit and were melting through Aatroxs HP bar.
In this scenario of two roughly even top laners, having the cc support from Leona to permastun Aatrox should break the fight open (as it does in the first half). Aatrox's healing allowed him to fight the 1v2, when a more balanced amount of healing would've made him still survive, but have to retreat. An amount of healing that would've arisen from Leona having something like Bramble/thornmail here.
"Healing... is at it's most minimal form" in the early game sure, but late game healing has spiralled completely out of control, and it's important to take a look at the full picture. In this case, having the component grievous items be nerfed so the early game healing reduction is lessened (ie, bramble vest being 20% instead of 40%, number would have to be more fine tuned tho), would allow for healing reduction to scale alongside healing, so neither is overpowered by the other at any stage of the game, and would end up being a buff for healers in the early game (which is good that you made me think about that perspective, so thanks).
Also stop looking at the 5-stack grievous in a vacuum and just pulling it out from nowhere. Even without a nerf to component items, buying 5 components would set your team back ~4k across the board, AND require them all to be in the same place, which doesn't really happen until mid-late game where healing begins to take off. And again, in such a scenario where you are outnumbered and focused by a full 5-man team, that has dedicated their builds to countering your specific character, they deserve to win that engagement.
Whenever a team specializes at killing one character, the others are allowed more freedom to do their stuff, so if the enemy has gone all in on killing the adc healer combo, you could capitalize in other places by either choosing a comp that makes use of the weaknesses of them spending so much on grievous, or simply cross-map when they invest 5 people into killing 2 (assuming a healer support + ADC combo). League is more than just a linear musclehead brawl, and this would allow for teams to think more and force them to dedicate more time and effort to different plans.
This of course does mean that soloQ would see shifts in meta, but the community is usually able to adapt to things even if just by virtue of using recommended item sets. Lower elo's would likely remain roughly unchanged, but higher elo's with some level of coordinated play and map awareness would see an actual way to counter these characters, but at cost (aformentioned grouping vs crossmapping). In the current setup, it isn't uncommon to see people one-trick healing characters like Aatrox or lifesteal Yasuo and 1v5 while their team is simultaneously crossmapping somewhere. With the change, the crossmap still happens, but the team that sacrificed to get the kill at least gets something, so everyone can walk away having done something (ie: 4 members getting an objective and 1 stalling, vs 5 members winning a fight), which is far better for the state of the game and the health of the community imo.
The one group that would suffer are the 1v5'ers who are expecting to experience that power fantasy, but I would argue that fun that comes at the expense of the entire enemy team shouldn't be allowed in a game that is ultimately for fun. And their 1v1's at least would be completely unaffected. And in a 1v2 there would still be some wiggle room for actual skill and outplaying, especially if you're already ahead, since they'll be behind purchasing grievous.
tl,dr: nerf early game grievous, buff late game grievous, don't be toxic and say that people have cancer :)
