Matt Hardy getting his back blown out by Viscera is one of the most WILDEST things to happen in Royal Rumble history and Triple H’s expression says it all lol 😂
When Rey Mysterio got hated on by the smarks for being overpushed because of Eddie’s death. I still think he deserved this moment even if Eddie had lived.
Even in his overpush, he was still treated like a joke. He lost his Royal Rumble title shot the next month at No Way Out to Randy Orton, and had to beg Teddy Long put him back in the World Championship match even though he chose to put his title shot on the line against Randy in the first place and lost. Fully agree, the rumbles from that time didn't need to rely on tropes like "Both feet must hit the floor to be eliminated" or "Kofi nearly eliminated spots" or "return from injury for a massive mania push" They had moments of tropes like Big Show always being considered how to be eliminated, but they actually would usually have him show dominance and then they would also showcase how the winners needed both skill and luck, also the winners were usually people who felt ready for big moments at Mania, not people who you have win 2 times like Orton, Batista, Cena, Edge, Triple H because there's no better choice.

Just like you I only watched WWE in 2006 on WWE com. Actually watching this video makes me think that the Rumble 2006 PPV was so weird that it actually was great again :D
I rewatched this show with my youngest brother while explaining Eddie Guerrero lore to him. I shared the same sentiment about this show regarding Rey's run in the rumble and Cena v Edge, but rewatching the whole show had me like "damn, these mfs are unhinged"
I remembered just waiting who won the rumble match on Raw the next night. Rey winning was great. Eddie’s passing and Batista’s injury really changed WM 22 card. We could’ve gotten the original rumble winner Orton vs Batista and of course HBK vs Eddie at WM 22. When Cena came out in a spaceship like that it was clear he was winning he wasn’t losing after making an entrance like that. Angle vs Henry was the first time 2 olympians main event a big 4 PPV and had to be the main event so Taker destroyed the ring. You got to admit RR 2006 gladiator stage was badass

06 was my first rumble ever
It's forever goated
I was so hyped 2016 and 2017 Royal Rumble was similar 2006 Royal Rumble designer
Thank god for Noah, ROH, PWG fir serving as an alternative to WWE & TNA at this time. Those companies saved my love for wrestling after 2003.
Bro I love the stage of Royal Rumble 2006. The coliseum look was cool
Hey man, just want to say what’s up bro and thank you for your support. You have have over 100 comments on this channel. You’re a real one, thank you for all your support over the years ❤️🫡
Just like you I only watched WWE in 2006 on WWE com.
😂s tier commentary as always. Bro is hilarious
Thanks for watching man, hope you enjoyed it!
I think we we all fooled lmao. I’ve seen the 2006 Rumble match countless times but DEFINITELY don’t remember half of what was going on on that card lol. Vince was 100% a menace to society.
