That is so well made well they have been making them for 50 years the bearings are oil light bearings and only need two or three drops of oil in the surrounding oil pad and when you cleaned the armature you should only clean with spirit and make sure the segments gaps are clean with a sharp toothpick but loved the video very good ( I used to be a Kenwood engineer) thanks Bob in the UK
Thanks for your comment Bob. As an amateur any expert feedback is appreciated. Unfortunately the motor blew on it early this year. It really had had a caning since the early 80's!
Since around 2014 the blade guard is bonded to the shaft with a thread locking compound. To remove it, heat the threaded area with the soft flame of propane torch for 15 sec (200°C are required) and unscrew the blade guard immediately using thick leather gloves (left handed thread). Grease the thread with petroleum jelly to permanently unstick this threading.

I have just bought a very old one of these from eBay and when you turn it on it spins but the motor runs with a high pitched deafening screaming noise and when I say deafening it's ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!!! I am just wondering what would cause that noise, brushes maybe 🤔
Nice video. I used it to open my M122 after there was a flash and smoke coming out. Seemes that the condensator and the diode have exploded. Can you tel what value and type the condensator must be? The Diode should be a standard 1N4004 I 've found out. Hope you van answer my qeustion. With regards.
@@Aryapala mine blew up too. the rifa brand caps are not good. I slow mo-ed your video and learnt that it is a 0.022µF or 220nF metalled Polypropylene Capacitor.
Thanks for the video,I appreciate it. For bamix processor- in the middle the knife is attached to the plastic holder which is underneath has a chance to be deattach and take aside the knife. So ,may I slightly grease it with 3 in 1 white lithium grease. And as well the shaft ?
After putting it all back together again, it worked perfectly for a month. But now it's jambed and I'll need to pull it apart and figure out why. There is a loose white nylon seal at the bottom of the shaft. In the early part of the video it is clearly seen, but not when the shaft is removed, its not in the tray of parts, and doesn't appear in the reassembly process.

Mine has a pin in the top screws, so a phillips head won't work, and needs a hollow hex head. Although, if you don't have electrical problems, I don't see the need to take off that end cover. I may have missed it, but what did you use to grease the shaft, vasaline?
Hi My mom had used same exact BAMIX until last month. Seems rubber Shafter is having a problem. Anyways blade cannot be removed as you have done in the video (at 1 min in the video). Its great if you could show it again or explain. Thank you .
Hi. At one minute I pull off the chopping blade with my fingers. If its stuck, use some WD40 and try and pull it straight off again. If that doesn't work, submerge in boiling water for a few minutes and with gloves on, try and pull it off again. I hope that helps

Hi , I'm having a problem with shaft slightly lose and pushing back into housing. once one of the buttons stopped working[hi speed I think] and played around with it and was able to get it going again. Does that sound serious? as in has something internal broken or could it be an easy fix?
I couldn’t get the second speed to work again. It stopped about 20 years ago and never again. As long as it still mixes without overheating it should be fine.
I can't get my pin out. It also looks like you cut a portion of that video (edit). Yours comes out way too easy. Also looks like it already siting half way up already.
@@midmodernman1817 I found it difficult too. Even worse trying to get it back in far enough, not like the video. My guess, in retrospect, is the pin needs to sit in the freezer for a while first.

Can be the friction maybe caused by dried out plastic/ lack of grease?

My Bamix M100 looks similar. The motor is making a high pitch scream, Will a service like you show in your video, remedy the squealing motor? Susie

After taking the screws out of the brown ‘handle’, and unscrewing the end , it pulls away from the plastic casing
