My BAMIX had been stuck for 6 months, out kf frustration i put it away...I sent my local agent countless emails but all to no avail. Today,i decided to search for anything that could help me see how thisachine is fixed when the motor stops spinning...now there's plenty videos that advise on the how to fixes...all of them suggested that i put the shaft in Hot oil and put some oil thereafter, needless to say nothing worked. That's until today when i bumped into this video and followed closely to how the gent goes about with fixing the stuck shaft...mind you i am mo electrician,if anything im shit scared of furckin witn electricity but today i just Bit the bullet and told myself that im gonna do it and im gonna do it and fix my shit. Im proud to say after following these easy steps, my Bamix is back to life again. I must say,im at fault,I bought this thing back in 2014 and never for once did i ever oil the shaft, which is the reason why it got stuck...bht those days are over now,ive fixed my machine and all is back to normal
Great video. Thank you so much for making it and posting. For those of you, if you’re like me and did not understand what he is holding up, these are the screw drivers that worked for similar screwheads in my Gastro 200. They were all like in his video, torx screwheads. 1)T-10 get top off 2)T-9 separates top & bottom of the housing 3)T-20 connects the shaft to motor housing & motor housing to the motor (4 (t20) screwheads of two different lengths) I do not have a vise, so to separate the shaft, I held the very end (the end that accepts blades) with a RoboGrip and at the other end used slot screwdriver into the top blue top and loosened the blue top piece to then separate the shaft(s) (I saw this technique in another youtube video) I also cleaned the cooper and reinserted the carbon motor brushes (viewed in yet another youtube video). It reassembled well and seems to be working fine (time will tell). (I would have had this serviced, but in my country the distributor who is supposed to service all U.S. bamix’s will not reply to any service requests (I tried multiple times over the last three years as my bamix kept slowing down, until this week when it would not even whip an egg). Thanks again Gulegoo.
@@gulegoo You are so funny, yeah whipped eggs for Easter! (The bamix flat blade make the fluffiest omelets with mixed/blended room temp eggs.) But really thanks again, I would not have had the courage without seeing your detailed video and buying those torx drivers before I even began. (Now I want a big metal vise just like yours.)🙂
@@gulegoo Mainly because you showed it in this video, I just got my first vise. It is not as large as yours, mine just suction clamps to my kitchen counter. But it is so useful to have both hands to fix all the objects that randomly break. Thank you again for your great video. (PS My eggs are wonderful again.)
Thank you so much for sharing this video!
Thank you for this very instructive tutorial. Since around 2014 bamix secures the blade guard threading with Loctite high strength. Hence removing the blade guard requires heating the threaded part with a propane torch up to 200°C. Immediately screw off ((left handed) the blade guard while hot using leather gloves. Also, you can remove the tool fastener pin at the lower end of the shaft with by turning and pulling it outwards. That allows you to remove the whole shaft for cleaning and lubricating (petroleum jelly).
Thank you for the video. I suspect that the pin that holds the cutting blades on is a tapered pin and should punch out from the (nearly flush) side where it doesn't stick out. A dot from a sharpie will let you remember which side it should stick out. I suspect that once you have the lower wand disassembled the shaft may then may slide out fully allowing a more thorough clean and grease.
I thought so too, but I didn't want to use force after a failed attempt because I risked destroying the axle or the pin. In addition, the pin will be anchored so, that it should not be thrown into the cup by centrifugal force.
This was a great video. My blade wouldn't turn and I figured I had nothing to lose by following this video and taking it apart. It now works perfectly. Thank you.
Video at 7 min: I remove the dirt (if necessary) with a small screwdriver, till you can move the axe in the shaft forward and backward for 1 or 2 mm. Greasing with grease from your coffee machine (like I did it) or vaseline or 2 or 3 drops of sunflower oil
the rubber coupling unscrews, you have to hold the end with pliers where the attachments go, and hold the rubber coupling with more pliers and unscrew .. mine was old and brittle
Hi, my Bamix is just a few years old. But its slow speed vibrates vigirously and becomes unusable. Do I need to do the same like yours to repair or just need to spray some silicone lubricant from the tip?
Silicone lubricant distorts the flavors in the food and is not very appetizing. Maybe 2 drops of cooking oil will help. But you'll probably need also to remove heavy dirt (my procedure). And at the end: 2 drops of sunflower oil 🙂
Hi, My mom has the same. And seems to have a trouble in Shafter. Can you show me how to remove the blade. Then only we could dismantle other parts. Thanks.

Can you explain the process at 7m in? Did you use grease after? Very helpful video thanks. Motor shaft on mine seemed stuck but freed it off.

Hi what sizes of screw driver do you use?
First to open the housing a TORX no. 10 (T-10) and then for the inner screws a TORX no. 9 (T-9). Good luck!
Thanks 🙏🏻
you could have done a more thorough cleaning by disassembling the motor core, and the inner shaft, it only take a few extra minutes.
