In that price range, even considering all-in-one is a joke. From a hifi standpoint, from blingy blingy, it is okay, but they do not care about the DAC.
Very cool Adrian. Cant wait to hear your thoughts on how it sounds. Almost perfect for me, just wish it was 150+watts/8. Any big brothers coming out this spring?
The Hegel h400 is $8400. The Mcintosh will have a better resale %, but purely for sound, my bet is the h400 is a step up, of course just my opinion not having heard this new Mcintosh side by side. Would be interesting to see a comparison video by you guys.
Everyone owning MAC integrated amps should remove those metal preamp output/power amp input jumper plugs. Replace those with good .5 meter long RCA connectors. Seriously, all these people that buy $1000 RCA connectors to connect a MAC integrated amp to another source but keep those metal plugs in. Really?
Those plugs are fine. It's just conducting electrons. There's no magic here. You could use coat hangers and no one would be able to tell the difference.
Absolutely. They released this all-in-one about a month ago. Two weeks after the announcement of the Bose / McIntosh merger. Do you think anyone can put such a complex device on the market in two weeks? Do you really think such a thing is even possible?
Welcome back, Adrian! A heck of a way to start 2025!
Very disappointing that it doesn't have a digital loop, like Hegel do. So if you want to upgrade the DAC, you are no longer able to use the streamer.

@@danijel-c the DAC2 in it is quite good actually. and at this level most mac buyers if they want more features will move up the mac chain.
Still waiting for the D'Agostino Momentum Integrated!

Does it also mean that the life of the DAC upgradable is at is end? At this price point, why not integrated it😮
Is that the first Bosentosh?😮
Yes. They developed a completely new device in a few weeks. 😂😂

@@stephencosta6814 guess he thought anyone who saw him put the little antenna on would figure that out for themselves
Is this class a/b? The McIntosh site doesn’t specify
It has 100 watts at 8 ohms and heatsinks that can dissipate on the amp with 10 watts.
A/B?
It so nice when you get Free gear !
Over 11 k for this sounds like a joke....
You have to be a special kinda stupid to spend that kind of money on this. It's criminal 😂
$11k, no autoformers 👎
Romantic sounding WTF does that even mean?
Bose MSA5500, I am sad as I am the owner of Bose Nova V's
Yeah!!!! BOSE showing it’s face!
- Wrong tool supplied.
- Not even one recorder out/in.
Well done! 😢😢😢😅😅
