    Those connecters are badass definitely going to add these to clean up my wiring!

    For your end lights do you use a 2 way connector junction or just solder and tape ? Very helpful video, thank you

    Great video Dustin! Super clean look. Love it. Definitely going to do this with my deck build.

    Silly question I’m very much a rookie when it comes to these sort of things . Just thankful in this day and age we have helpful videos such as this one to help guide ppl like me in the right direction. My question is how much power/watts are those 3way junction Ts able to handle?? Here’s my deal I’m building a bowfishing light rail and I’m going to be using 50watt LEDs I am not sure if I’m going to be using 6/8 lights but they will all be the same wattage. Thank you for all your AMAZING content!!!

    What size main wire are you running off the generator and how many amps are you running

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have a genny with a 30amp plug you can run a single 10/3wire to the front & would suggest a switch panel. If you do not have a 30amp plug then you should run plugs back from port & starboard sides and not exceed 13amps combined. In most cases you will exceed amp capacity before you max your wattage. 2000w÷110v=18amps but my genny breaker is only 13amp so it only handles 1400w continuously.

    If you don’t mind me asking what lights are you using sir ?

    Man I got a question if I am wiring led lights like these with the 3 wires to a battery what do I do with the neutral wire

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no "neutral wire" on DC lights & AC light will not work on a battery.

  • @joexdens169
    @joexdens169 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does this plug straight into the generator?

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it that way. Some guys like switches. Just don't exceed the plug amp capacity. It's usually 12amps

    Hi Dustin, thanks for the video. I ordered the 3-way junctions and 12/3 wire from our buddy Jeff Bezos; I question if that wire is 12/3 or 14/3. Can you confirm?

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  ปีที่แล้ว

      Would be impossible for me to confirm what you bought.

    • @dustinmartin8594

      @@DustinApple sorry for my poorly worded question. The wire you mentioned in the video was 12/3 - are you sure it isn’t 14/3?
      I purchased the 3-way junctions & the wire gauge (12/3) is REALLY thick and doesn’t fit.

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dustinmartin8594 it will fit. You want it tight. There's multiple junction 3ways now. Probably different than what I had. If it's to tight clip a few strands until it does.

    What kind of boat is that?

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  ปีที่แล้ว

      A fabricated plate boat.

  • @cdp50359
    @cdp50359 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dustin, the ends of the wires need to be soldered before installing them inside the hub. This is for almost all screw down clamp. If you don't, the screw will separate the strands, weakening the junction point

    • @DustinApple
      @DustinApple  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      12ga wire fills the hole, it cannot separate. The locking cap grabs the wire and I'm pretty sure you'd have a hard time pulling it out. I agree it would be better. But A low amperage (0.9amp) led, I don't feel it necessary.
