Well, it looks like Akko "fixed" this problem with some new V3 Pro Cream blue and Cream Yellow switches, that have a better dust protection

I have the "black & silver" version of the 5075B Plus which came with the V3 Cream Blue Pro switches. I've had a couple of the switches fail after about 5 months too. I also used the Akko Penguin Silent switches for a couple months but they basically all broke down with chattering at the same time.
They say Hall-effect (magnetic) "HE" switches are completely free from this problem but the Akko MOD 007B HE keyboard costs more than twice as much as 5075B Plus and only comes with Cream Yellow switches as far as I know. They also say temperature changes can affect it. I'm not sure what to think and what's long lasting. My old 2004 HP wireless rubber dome keyboard still works although it's too heavy to type on once I got used to the Akko. It's not right that a 20 year old keyboard is sturdier than a brand new one though.

@@You2Too It is understandable that your 2004 hp keyboard has greater reliability; Unfortunately, the things made today are designed to be "Commercial", what you would call programmed absolence, so that from time to time you have to buy something "new".

    • @You2Too

@@ivangalvezm.4679 Yeah, you're right. Nowadays things aren't built to last. I actually have an even older 1998 Compaq PS/2 keyboard lying around, not only was that one very sturdy for its time but it even has rails on the underside so you can choose if you want the cable to come out left, center or right. Lots of premium keyboards these days lack that!
Right now I'm trying Outemo Cream Yellow Pro switches for my Akko keyboard. They're cheap on aliexpress, basically a silent version of Akko's Cream Blues. I sure hope they'll be better than Akko's own switches. I did read something about Razer switches that came to mind now. Apparently a lot of people who have bought those new 75% keyboards from Razer got lots of chatter quite quickly and someone found that they factory lube their switches too much so that the leaf doesn't get proper contact. Maybe that's what Akko is doing too?

He couldn't figure it out. The yellow cream v3 keys are getting worse and worse with each passing day. It hasn't been 5-6 months since I bought the keyboard. Currently my 7-8 buttons are stuck or not pressing.

I am actually shocked to read the comments and see that not a single person has actually answered you on the reason for your issue, which is well known and in no way limited to Akko. All mechanical keyboards with hot swap sockets have the risk of the pins bending out from the contacts in the sockets. Sadly some switches are more vulnerable than others due to pin thickness. It is true that even with vulnerable switches, if they were soldered you would get much more lifespan out of the switches. However, this is a combination problem. While the switches could be adjusted to solve this, the absolute best way to proceed is to simply acquire different switches that are designed to make better contact. You can also raise the sensitivity number within the Akko software. I only wish I had some way to get hold of these busted parts and I would repair them and send them back for nothing. I'm sorry you didn't get much use out of your keyboard. Your experience is all too common. Keyboards are a hobby for tinkerers and those who actually want to use their computers often just give up when faced with this kind of issue.

The problem with the switches making a double click is surely due to dirt inside, you could wash the inside of the switches with contact cleaning liquid although this would eliminate the lubricant inside, or open the switch and physically clean it of dust, lint, hair cat, etc.

Hi there! I am a keyboard fanatic and own a lot of keyboards. I have Akko keyboards ranging from 40% to 100%, as well as Keychron models from 60% to 100%. Yes, I love keyboards. I also own GMK.
Akko keyboards have some issues. When I am watching Netflix using the Akko PC98, I press the spacebar to pause the video. I often encounter an issue where, after pressing the spacebar, it starts repeating after a few minutes or hours, causing my movie to continuously play and pause. Pressing the spacebar again does not solve the problem, but pressing another key stops it. However, the spacebar then becomes unresponsive.
I have experienced this issue with other keys as well. They start repeating, but since I am typing, pressing another key stops the repetition. Unfortunately, those keys also become unresponsive afterward. I also encounter this problem on my other Akko keyboards.
Despite these issues, I still use the Akko PC98 because I love the typing feel. However, I don't use it for gaming, as it would be too frustrating if the keys suddenly became unresponsive. I won’t buy another Akko keyboard, but I will definitely continue buying GMK-they are the best.
My suggestion: buy Keychron. It is still the best keyboard I’ve encountered, with no problems. They use VIA/QMK, which makes them secure and reliable.

Hi i came to this video because i am having the same problems, except I bought the wired only version of the keyboard… so my wired connection just stopped working today! Without any reason. I have the Keyboard for one year and 2 months now and it just doesn’t work anymore. It stoppt working while i was using it. The only thing i can say that it is getting warm right there where the switch for windows, Mac… are when i plug it in. I also had these problems with the keys that just stopped working.

Its software problem. I had akko P75plus black & gold which met the same problem as your. I bring it to warrant store, they change for me new keyboard but it still has the same problem, they concluded the problem was software issue , then I return it to the store. I have tested the keyboard again after a year they release, they didn't fix it. Goodbye akko

The solution is simple, remove the switch, open it and force the contacts back a little.
Over time, the contacts move a little forward and problems begin to occur.

One other point for you. Your switches are not meant to last 5 months. These kinds of mechanical switches are often rated for between 40 or 50 million keystrokes, which you could not reach within 5 months. While the switches do need to be changed, if the switches themselves were modified or soldered into a different PCB, they would last you years before you experienced end of life issues.

The common problem with switches on mechanical keyboards is that, chattering (double typing) and sometimes not working. I've noticed that stock switches, regardless of being clean or not, have more chances of doing that compared to a switch set that are bought alone. I've had this happened to me twice. One around 2014, and one recently. My Razer 2014 one already had chattering switches right around 4-5 months after purchase, then the Darkflash one that I've recently gifted for my older sibling had the same problem. I've changed the switches on my Razer keyboard and is still going strong even after months/years of use, no chattering. Hoping for the same result for the Darkflash one too.
TL;DR: Maybe it's best to buy the same new set of switches for that keyboard. For the wireless issue, might be a firmware problem that hopefully Akko fixes soon.
Also, I want to suggest you a full-size keyboard if you plan on buying another one. Darkflash GD108, which is the Darkflash I've been referring to previously lol, it's like a condensed version of a full-size keyboard.

@@DanglishReviews for my new set of switches, no, not really, it's actually gone way past the 5 month mark. That's why I assume that stock switches are probably worse and is more prone to having chatters than a brand new bought set (in my experience).
