I’m from Brisbane Australia. This was the first Olympics I was invested in as a kid once Sydney Australia was announced to host 2000 and the Atlanta Olympics was amazing you could say it was the games that started my interest in the Olympics. Now I get to experience here for Brisbane 2032 I just hope it’s as entertaining and fun as Atlanta!
26 years later I'm still haunted to this day every 4 years wherever summer or winter the Olympics Games in Atlanta will be forever be with me I wanted to vounteer at the Track and Field Events, but little did I know my life changed both mentally and finacially, but again luck turned and saved my life because of the bombing at the park as I look back to this day again wherever summer or winter every 4 years I will always think back to The Atlanta Games with great sadness and joy
The city where I was born and raised was so peaceful in 1996. Club 112 used to stay open Until 7:00 a.m. on a Wednesday in to Thursday morning. the Au center, underground Atlanta, With Fat Tuesdays and Hooters right next to each other. Freak Nick was out the chain Atlanta.
We had no plans to go. The news report said there were still tickets available I said. Mom let’s go! We drive from NYC TO Atlanta what a great experience. We left just before the bombing and were very lucky but so sad to see what transpired.
Jeff Hullinger is truly an Atlanta treasure. Mick's was a vibrant place along with the Pleasant Pheasant on that corner. It has never been the same since. WHY? I was more of a Mick's person .😀
atlanta 2036 summer olympics…..if los angeles & salt lake city can have a other run as host of the olympics i think that atlanta can have a other run at hosting a other summer olympics
all jokes aside, the Olympics did so much damage to my grandpa's hometown of Atlanta. Homes destroyed, neighborhoods ruined. surrounding towns destroyed, housing unaffordable traffic over development
1996 was rounding to the last of the good times in atlanta, crime wasnt as bad as it is now, just really miss those days now...😞 really rare to meet a native Atlantans now adays, as to many moved further or away from the city like my family. Techwood homes!1990-96.

my mother is one of the atlanta cheerleaders and it’s so cool because around 20 minutes you can see her and her friends jumping.
One of the best Olympics hosts of all time
georgia missouri and cali are the only 3 states that have had a olympic event take place

I was there!
I was there working on Fort McPherson. That was a fantastic time!!
Richard Jewell was a hero.
Ahhhh man I worked at Micks.
It was my first job in Atlanta.
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought of an additional reason for delaying the Tokyo Summer Games a year later than intended due to COVID!
I was there. It was fun.
The cauldron still reminds me of McD french fries.
