Hello! new to channel! I was curious as to how you laid the paper texture down. Was this a paper texture layer or a paper textured brush? I believe you said brush. I know sometimes when I download a free set of brushes and I use them I find that if I lay it down in one stroke it seems to be incredibly light even on multiply mode and I'll have to keep either going over that or I'll have to increase the actual stamp (or tip size whatever the real word is for that,) but the trial and error process does become extremely tedious especially if im just tying them out. If you have any suggestions I'd love to here them!!

Hi Sophie, thanks very much for your comment. They’re brushes made from real paper textures. I went through some trial and error processes to adjust the scanned papers to make sure that the textures translated properly to being used as a brush. So far I haven’t had to double up on strokes to get the look I want.

If you’re having trouble with your free brushes not being dark enough, you could try choosing a slightly darker colour perhaps? Mine are made to try and avoid these pitfalls, but I understand the need to work with what you have.
