I do have several questions, After setting up a paper texture as described in your video, I discovered that my charcoal drawing looked better when I moved the paper texture layer below the finished drawing, Any comments about this? Also it was stated in another video on how to add a paper texture in Procreate, that one should first deselect the bottom background layer, Do you have any comments about this suggestion? How do you get your colours to work? I applied the HL on the paper layer, but on the layer underneath all the colours appear very light and faded.

Layer masks would be ideal for that. I can’t explain how it’s done through a comment but that’s the feature you would use

If you go to the site I got it from (“Pixabay”) and search for paper textures there will be plenty more to choose from
