@@lucasblanchard47 What they're doing right is being customer focused and listening to what their customers want and doing it cheaper than other companies by cutting out the middle man. That is priceless.
The most important part about this is not the pump action shotgun, but that PSA would be getting into shotguns *at all.* If we get this, then in the future we could probably expect PSA to get us different semi-auto shotguns. Perhaps Saigas? Tactical tube-feds like the Benelli M4? Perhaps a branch-off of the JAKL in 12 Gauge? The possibilities branching out from this gun are significant.
The separate mag tube and barrel clamping system is enough to make this a winner before you add in the other consumer oriented decisions. Now all it has to do is not break on TFBtv
@@YourN4m3 its on their flyer for the VUK just google psa vuk in google images youll see the advertisement it says 556, 9x39mm, 762x39, 545 and at the end 12 gauge. so im suspecting theyre going to start pumping these out with saiga 12 magazines or their own proprietary magazines as it doesnt have a magwell unless they make one for it
On their website, they have a video that says they plan on producing many of these concept guns, and you can vote on which 3 you think they should focus on bringing to market first.
I saw a video yesterday from I believe TFB Tv on PSA at Shot Show. The rep said that every gun on their voting list will be produced. The voting is only a means to determine which guns should be released earliest.
There was one 80% model out there a few years back. CS12 or something like that. It looked like a bolted together toaster with a couple tubes sticking out of it. I'm with you, though. I'd love to build one of these as an 80.
Honestly… nah. Think about the amount of time they would have to spend in man power to assist idiots with that. It would make the price jump and wouldn’t help nearly enough people.
I voted Launcher, bolt gun, 5.7 PDW. But this would be very welcome also. Please do barrels for lots of applications. Bird hunting, fully rifles deer barrels, 14” birds head, etc. And bayonet lugs!
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I selected this option as my third vote. 1. JAKL .308 2. Vuk 3. 570 Shotgun I would have considered the 9mm JAKL but the last thing we need is yet another blowback 9mm PCC. While the Sabre Enhanced M4 has tremendous potential, I think the majority of consumers have already had their share of ARs at this point. Although, PSA does have several Sabre variants that still have my attention. Such as Mk12, M4A1 and M110. As far as the X5.7 - I am more or less indifferent. See previous statement on the PSA X5.7 video. Stay classy my friends.
I voted JAKL 308, JAKL bullpup, and JAKL 9mm. I just want them to expand the JAKL line to different sized platforms to open the door for different calibers and stuff. JAKL .308 - 12ga, 6.5 Creedmoor JAKL 5.56 - 6.5 Grendel JAKL PCC - 9mm Makarov, 10mm, .45, 40S&W (magazine selection would probably be an issue for this platform) It could be a pretty cool expanded product line
.308 Jakl Shotgun Bolt action. Absolutely fantastic that they'll be selling just action/ receiver. Also, it's really cool that you can build a literal arsenal from one manufacturer.
I chose the XM 5.7, the carry size 10mm & the shotgun. My runner up was the full size Dagger in .45acp with the 16 rd magazine. The modular builder friendly bolt guns are definitely gonna happen so I didn’t worry about that one.🫡🇺🇸 PSA has the formula figured out!
Yup. If you're going to go Mossberg style safety (totally ambidextrous) you've got to make the action release ambi too. ETA: I shoot with either hand; so, it's not a big deal to me. But I've got a wrong-handed kid, which is why I only have a Mossberg pump gun. I'm a buyer right away if it's fully ambi.
Just needs bayonet lug option on the front, part with or without so every state can have it. The Bayonet lug would be to make evil but keep them in "common usage", as who doesn't love the Mossberg 590 option with bayonet. Good job on using the Remington 870 furniture for after market options, no need to make it proprietary or reinvent the wheel.
Shotguns are so hot right now. Its true that people are usually stumped on setting them up for self defense, but all you really need is a way to mount a white light and a sling. The optic mount is a nice touch, but the clamp-mounted front sight is kinda cheezy IMO. I've played around with a bunch of different shotguns, and I've never felt like I couldn't get a regular Benelli Nova Tactical set up just right with a bit of drilling and mounting of a rail and sling point plus some velcro, but I think many people will be glad to see an affordable option that's ready to plug and play out of the box.
I love the fact that the barrel and tube are separate from each other. The thing that holds me back most from taking a shotgun out to the range is the hassle of disassembly for cleaning compared to a rifle. Also being optics cut is awesome. I'm Hoping it lives up to the hype and sets a new standard for the industry on ease of use and maintenance.
the only part that needs cleaning is the barrel and action, and shotguns barrels are easy af to remove. Not that you need to, they're like the easiest weapon to maintain LMAO
every firearm has it's place,I love the destructive power of the Shotgun there is a reason a few actually why Americans love their Shotguns. Shotguns Rule!
I'd like to see that shotgun come in two receiver types, one with a tang safety, and one with a cross-bolt safety. I like the cross-bolt safety better for a pistol grip setup. Also, is it compatible with short shells?
Or have both like on a Galil Ace only make the side safety like an AR safety and make it reversible as ambi would get in the way. I’m not a fan of safeties in or around the trigger guard. Not a great idea for people who are new to shooting.
@@Jeff.78 that's why I think it should be an option but not the only option. They could also make it reversible, if anything. There is a good space in front of the trigger guard where they could place a safety
1. My Mossberg switches barrels in thirty seconds. Will this? 2. How available will hunting barrels be for this gun? 3. How long until a rifled barrel for sabot slugs? 4. Is the receiver steel or aluminum? 5. Does the bolt lock up into the barrel extension, a trunnion, or the receiver? 6. Will this be compatable with a legacy brand springs or small parts?
@@41tl capacity with a 18" barrel will be dependent on the design. Many shotguns can only hold 6, but some brands can fit 7. I'm only interested if it can be a 7+1.
PSA: I voted for the Thumper, where’s it at? How much longer I gotta wait? A GOOD M203ish 37mm at a good price, I want…..also can I get the proper handguards for A2 with that? AAC: You gonna sell 37mm shells???? Please?
Put the slide release on both sides and it'll be a winner. I'm right handed but I'm blind in my right eye so I have to shoot shoulder mounted firearms left handed. Anyways, this seems like it's a ways off still so I'll keep relying on my 18.5" Mossberg 590A1. I have a Remington 870 Tactical as well but the Mossberg is more ambi friendly. I don't own a PSA as of yet but I do like their business model, mass produce affordable American made firearms.
It's an interesting option, but I'd rather see them bringing the Micro Dagger and it's magazines actually to market. Rather than one a week and they hold them until there is a shoe box full, then they tell the website so the people camping can clean them out in a minute.
Some gaps in my arsenal are a bolt gun in .308 and a shotgun. But one consideration I have is, i'd very much prefer a tang safety for both, and it would be very ideal if the safeties on both actuate in the same direction too, to simplify that detail for usage purposes. I haven't looked into it, but I'd be curious about checking out this safety versus a Ruger American Gen 2 .308 or a Savage 110 tactical 20" barrel, which were my top picks as of right now.
Very excited to see them doing this. Once they get this moving, and they will, I’m really hoping a PSA semiauto shotgun will soon follow. Great firearms regardless what the gun snobs want to say.
PSA is doing an awful lot right.
They’re definitely doing a lot. Whether it’s “right” or not has yet to be determined. Gotta see how these products perform over time.
