Hey Oblyx, long time fan. Your old mekanism videos have been necessary to me in almost al of my modpack playthroughs. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that you will be covering the new version of mekanism dropping July 16th!
Hey man im like your tutorials so much. I just started playing a 1.15.2 modpack with some friends on a server and started using mekanism as my go to tech mod. I stumbled across your old tutorials and were so happy that i found someone this good. And now your making new Videos and i’m so happy to see this cause it will help a lot and makes a lot of fun to watch. Just wanted you to know that. I really appreciate you work thanks for that. Wish you all a good week :) (Sorry for my english. I’m german and can’t write it very good)
Summary, as this is a bit overlong, sorry: Entangloporter used to transfer items, power, heat, and fluids wirelessly between locations, even across dimensions. In one Entangloporter GUI create a channel either public (accessible to all on server) or private (accessible only to player). Set the second to the same channel. Make sure to turn on Eject in GUI esp if using for power.
Man, your tutorials are really nice! It's pretty hard looking for mods showcase without teenagers explaining things without much clarification. You're fit to be the guy who explains complex mod like some magic mod (Botania? Blood Magic?) or hardcore tech mod. Please make more vids!
I appreciate that Nick. Thank you. I love Botania as well. I'm actually starting out in Botania in my MC Eternal world. I've been recording it all evening. If you need help with the early stuff check my video tomorrow. Not a straight tutorial but I tend to do my let's play in a more tutorial fashion. It should be out Monday or Tuesday depending how much longer it takes me.
14:19 I kinda want to see the video you say is linked below (I cannot find said link), but would also like to point out that for a vanilla chest you did not need to set that type to push, default would have worked.
Just gonna leave a comment to show appreciation for information on Mekanism, even up til now. Friends only made a server running it recently and these videos certainly help reduce the information overload. Dunno if you'll answer but does this allow for transfer of Nuclear Waste by any chance? Regardless, thanks again for videos like these!!
it does. waste is treated like a gas so it can move like any other gas. just don't break it while it's full or bad times. i'm glad you found the vids useful.
Well I hope this is in ATM5. The RFTools remote storage feature is apparently broken/disabled, so I was wondering how to transport a massive quantity of items from my first base to my second, more than 5000 blocks away. This seems perfect! I suppose I can also stop relying on RFTools power cubes to transmit power remotely, and ender tanks for remote liquid transport. Assuming this isn't far more expensive, or limited in efficacy, of course.
I know this is pretty late, but I hope you'll reply. Is there a way to establish a two-sided connection between me and my friend using these blocks? Cause the best thing we managed to do was to make a cable from a chest to a purple side of quantum entangloporter (input/output), but it still requires us to change the cables' ending shapes with the configurator every time. What I want is, a way for us to send items to each other without touching the cables. Our best hope was to build 2 chests (input/output) on every side and to have fun with all the cable shapes and block settings. But however perfect it was, it never worked properly - if a Quantum Entangloporter had two "Pull" shapes to choose from, it chose them at random (verified with many tries). And every time we managed to make a reliable one-way connection from one side, the other's input ended up in its own output, making a closed system. Is there a way to make such a thing possible?
I think the Developer of Mekanism needs to change the texture of some of the machines to denote the front of the machine. Cause if you set it and have to come back to it days later you might not remember which way you placed it originally.
Hey oblyx great explanation! One thing I am noticing about these is I am unsure of the throughput they have. So I am trying to make Brine for the Chlorine and I cannot get the water to keep up in the thermal towers. I am using one of these to feed all my towers with water. The network that is connected to has all Ultimate pipes and around 20 pumps. Should I just add more pumps or add more towers so i can reduce the amount needed overall? Hope you see this!
Replying for the sake of transparency. For an entangleporter to work right you must configure inputs/outputs of what is connecting to it with the configurator. Once I did that works like a charm.
@@jacksonwofford5455 I can configure it just fine, the problem I'm having is with the output rate. It transfers at the same rate as basic pipes even with ultimates hooked up.
@@zendoclone1 So another thing I have noticed is that you can attach multiple pipes, etc. to all the ports on the Entangleporter to create a manifold of sorts and that also helps. It'll look funny but if you have every port connected on both ends it should work better. I had more luck doing that. I really wish the Ultimate pipes did not have a throughput limit on them though. The mechanical pipes are very low compared to certain system needs. It's a handcuff just for handcuff sakes and at end game building it's just annoying.
Lets say I have unlimited energy. Is it faster to have 4 cables going into one or will it still be limited by the individual cable speed? In the endGame it could be limiting to use even the fastest cable
I do cover them some in this video. That may be enough to get you going. I plan on doing something more in depth down the road on just item sorting. th-cam.com/video/GUgGTV2vUd0/w-d-xo.html
Can you connect an entangloporter directly to a fusion reactor port without any cables? And then connect another entangloporter to an Induction Matrix Port directly to transfer the power without any cables?
Yes you can, just did it. I'm upset because I wanted both gasses to come from one entagloporter to the reactor but I'm thinking you can only do one gas per entangloporter
Can I transfer both power and items? For example, I'm wanting to use a digital miner in the nether and don't want to build two of these things to transfer power to the nether, and then transfer items back.
Can I make them NOT store stuff? Its annoying. I want to plus them into the in/out of everything and not have the machines always on(other than Redstone control)
Talking about 640kK like it's 640 kilogram >_< For comparison the hottest star we have on record is about 210kK and is about to go supernova (any century now... well, since it's 10kly away - it's probably gone supernova millennia ago, we are just watching its light from our paleolithic age)

Yay you’re doing mekanism again
Never stopped. 😁. Love me some Mekanism.

Thanks for watching.
This allowed me to solve the issues around this I had. Thanks!

Could you make tutorials of Create too? would help a lot with the new modpacks of 1.15
I was also wondering about any changes to Mekanism for 1.15. Many mods are not stabilized yet for 1.15 though.
If you play the create+ modpack it has a visual tutorial built in (just click the ponder key)
I forgot to chunk load mine, and I was so...so confused and frustrated. Thank you!

It would be nice. I don't really see Aiden the creator going that way but ya never know.
Im fairly certain that was added in mekanism 10

As far as I know there is no limits on the entangloporter. The liners are set by the cable types on both ends. Lowest common denominator wins.
I have the same problem. It seems to only apply to gasses and fluids. I'm thinking it's a glitch with the current version.

Okay, I love the videos, but nobody wants to sit though 23 minutes of filler to figure out how to operate a single block.
That's why I don't like following video tutorials for things. Not concise enough.
