Green Manelishi yes indeed. In my top three all time albums of all time! The music, lyrics, story, and of course...DRUMS!!! I cover the entire album on my channel. Check it out
Kinngsryche: i have played drums for about 30 years now. Have been in many bands playing a variety of styles of music but 80's metal has always been my calling. My setup consists of a Roland TD-10 pro kit that I have upgraded to a TD-20 expanded module and have upgraded the cymbals as well. I don't currently play in a band due to time and cost but I hope to get back out there in the future. Thanks for watching and supporting a fellow Ryche-a-holic!
Seen them four times myself. Three with the original lineup and though Todd is a kick ass singer, the chemistry and signature sound of the originals remains in the past. Love to play Scott’s stuff. He’s a great technical drummer and his parts are always uniquely for the music! Cheers
Queensryche is my favorite band saw them 10 times since mid 80's. You killed it. More Ryche covers please Scott Rockenfeld is amazing drummer. Your just as good.
I have been listening to this album since it released. I have the vhs version of Livecrime. Travelling in the military while my nose in a book, when i could, Mindcrime blaring in my ears. So I this, a cover! People add their own flair to covers, I'm arsty wa wa. THIS, had I not known, I would not have known. As far I as I could tell about as technically accurate as could be reproduced! Or perfect, in my lay opinion.
A killer song, and you did it justice. Nicely done! Funny thing is, I don’t believe the guys in the band could have ever imagined the song would be applicable so many years later, but flipped 180° from what they intended.
Very true! Many of the topics the Ryche wrote about back then are still relevant today! And the music never gets old. Mindcrime was and will always be a masterpiece!🤟🤟
WOW ! On a fuckin electric kit no less ! Dude that was bad ass my friend . . . . Dead on perfect ! Even playing through the same way Rockenfield hits the drums. Rockenfield such a unique way he struck almost as if he was trying to punch through the drum or cymbal Very distinctive this was awesome !
Much respect man! I started playing the drums when i was 12 and havent stopped since. Ive been drumming for 10 years mostly off and on for 4 years but the last 6 years ive really got into it. I first heard the ryche when i turned 16 and scott was my inspiration ever since! How much does your current kit cost? I looked at a td-12 and it was like $2K...
You are honestly really talented especially to pick a piece from Operation Mind Crime... Queensrhyce such a Benchmark of a band and they where before their time meaning they played futuristic rock metal before anyone else...I beleive!!
Kit started as a used TD-10 pro that I picked up for $1500. Over the years I have added and replaced pieces from local sellers and on ebay. It's a huge investment but the quality of the Roland gear is worth every penny. I have tried other brands and they just don't compare. I absolutely love the TD-20x and have only scratched the surface of it's capabilities... \m/ike
I feel like @Jdozant and I like most your recent queensryche covers. What setup do you use to play the song while recording your drums?? How long you been drumming for? You in a band?
+Ryan Belden I have owned 5 acoustic kits including: Yamaha (2), Pearl, Sonor, and Muskateer (my first kit haha). Sold all of them to afford the Roland since I don't play out much any more
IloveBaklava I would love the opportunity to sit in with the band but no one can replace Scott as far as I am concerned!! Thanks for the vote of confidence though.
No problem bro. Will you be doing any other Queensryche songs? Check out "Blood" and "Burning Man", I feel like Scott is featured a bit more on those songs versus some of their other later work.
Tim Wilson when I recorded this vid I mixed the drums and music in my module and sent it to a mini DAT recorder so unfortunately no isolated drum track was created
Queensrhyce are perfectionists as you are bro, My Cousin only just introduced me to the album Operation Mind Crime,He explained it was a theatrical album similar to Pink Floyds The Wall, apparently his opinion best album they've ever created,My cousin said they tried to make a 2nd album but was a fail..
+Matt Willis Video Productions I actually sat down and blew through the entire album in one sitting and one take if you can believe it. I have jammed to this album since it's release though and know it quite well!

"Mindcrime" is one of the best LPs (yes, I remember LPs) in the history of the world. Well done on the drum kit !!!

You do the best Queensryche covers.
I'm a huge queensryche fan .... dude you nailed it. Sounds just like Scott was playing it. I saw them 2 times .... really miss the original lineup.

you played it better than the current fill-in drummer for Scott (paternity leave). You should have tried out. excellent job.

Ryche N Roll
Actually, this albumn is about mk ultra.
