1st time I made this, I followed the instructions exactly, and it came out beautiful, 2nd time I made it I did the ziplock bag method, and it made the gravy too thick and kind of chunky. I find that if you coat the beef cubes individually in the flour, yes, it is a pain and slow going, but it makes for a better gravy.

Thanks for bringing the ease of cooking. Great Vid!
Looks so good. At my house we ad carrot. But the Crock-Pot is essential.
carrots and celery
I use a blackened cast iron skillet for my frying and lard/manteca for my grease. After I drain the "drippings" into the pot, whatever I have left in the pan I use to make the slurry, carrying that fried beef flavor over.
Love your videos.

Just finished making my beef stew 🍲 in my crockpot and my oh my I'm loving it. It's so soft and flavorful And delicious. I didn't add flour or precook my beef tho. I used ginger soy sauce for colour. But thank you so much for this vid.
I put my stew sometimes on some cooked Egg Noodles for a little change etc.
