I made this yesterday to go with some left over rice. I changed the cooking style a bit. I did everything on an iron pot over the stove, then I put it in the slow cooker to soften the meat. I used regular celery instead of celery sticks. I also added one tomato. I used Spanish thyme, not fine leaf thyme. I used kurbani beef cut into small pieces. The beef didn’t sear, it more steamed, maybe because it was a bit wet still. I didn’t separate the beef from the vegetables as I wanted to maximize the cooking time of the beef. I used half of a red onion. I don’t have a Dutch oven. I followed everything else in your recipe. It came out marvelous and went so well with the rice. Thank you so much for doing this video. It was worth it.
I made this recipe for dinner today, and oh my, it is divine. I made it on the stove top, using a really cheap quality stainless steel pot (my kitchen utilities are limited!). It still came out amazing - I just had to make sure to leave it on extremely low heat for the final hour or so and stir every 20 minutes as you advised. Also, I didn't have beef stock so I used water with added seasoning instead. I add a pinch of cumin to my water, which makes it taste stock-y. We had two huge servings each, and are having the leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Thank you for this recipe.
Nagyon jól néz ki, nálunk Magyarországon nem pirítjuk így külön a húst de biztos hogy finom így is. Még kostolnám mert különleges az elkészítés módja. A végeredmény csodálatos lett, szép a színe.,,🍴👍🥂
I made beef casserole today using this recipe and it resulted in the best beef casserole/stew that I have ever tasted. A really top notch recipe that was easy to follow and unforgettable to eat. Thank you for making the video.
I made this wonderful recipe (with some minor revisions). This was incredibly delicious!! Something about that balsamic vinegar, soy sauce (I used lite) and tomato paste and subbed wine for cranberry/poma , and all the other spices really make this recipe amazingly flavorful! I really appreciate Jessica for listing the ingredients for this dish, made UT easy when shop Ing! My whole house smelled wonderful! Thanks Jessica!
I printed this recipe. Thanks for including all of the details plus the metric measurements as well. Very well presented. Thanks also for taking the time to do this. Appreciated!

Beef chuck USED to be inexpensive, lol. Really good looking stew. I just made this dish a few days ago. I use Worcestershire instead of soy sauce. I really liked your video, very cheery and informative.
You showed me something new … deglazing with Balsamic vinegar … I have never encountered that before but I plan to try it with my next beef stew. I really enjoy your style … I am now subscribed
Made this tonight! Absolutely delicious!! I didn’t use the wine but used 4 cups of bullion as you directed! Definitely a recipe to keep if you like beef stew!
That''s a beautiful piece of chuck you have. Good luck in finding something that good in most supermarkets' meat departments. The end result after cooking is tough and chewy, no matter how marbled the cut is. Good job on your presentation.
I haven't tried your recepies yet, but I like your presentation very much. Therefore I leave you a thumbs up👍 and a subscription. Greetings from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿 and stay healthy 😷.

@@JessicaGavin hi Jessica, what should be the temperature in the oven when you do the slow cooking of this beef stew for 60 to 90 minutes in Celsius.
I made mine in a cave with a rock and a stick, still tasted am-Azing-uh 🥰

The flour you add ...is it plain flour or corn flour ?? Does it thicken the sauce ?
In UK we use plain flour , and yes it does thicken the stew
THANKYOU! very DELICIOUS!!!!😊

I can't believe we need a video on how to make beef stew.
Looks amazing!!!
Thank you!
Do you have to dip beef in flour before frying
Sprinkle in the flour, stir and cook for 1 minute. Slowly stir in the beef stock, scraping down the bottom of the pan.
You're A delight, I'm ready to go. I'm starving!!
I'm making this tonight. I'll use Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon as the wine ingredient, then dub this dish "Ponderosa Beef Stew." Hope this is OK, Jessica. . . . . .

So yummy 😘
There is only one thing missing. " dumplings " my mum, ex armed forces cook used to do a big pot that used to last 3 days.
Fresh or dried thyme?
Right in time for Christmas
A you Eva from Amp world 😮 and if you not it's Ok your amazing cook ❤ and I love this recipe. ❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰😘💯
Hi my name is not important but I really love you cooking and you're amazing😊
That looks so good! My mouth is watering now!
When i start preparing the beef, large amount of liquid comes out and it takes forever to dry out. How do I achieve this searing result?
I recommend patting the beef with a paper towel before cutting, then after cutting the cubes if the surface is not dry. I hope that helps!
Add cornbread 😋
Wow, she’s definitely my type of woman, but I see a ring 💍, darn she’s married 😢.
