    I wished every guitar player would watch this video. I played guitar for 10 years and never got anywhere. Entail. I learned the fingerboard on the guitar and started reading music. I started reading music in 1984. This is the best way to learn. You learn all the notes in all the chords, and all of the notes on the guitar. It was quite an accomplishment for me, I’ve been playing since 1974 I love guitar I love music. And reading tab and reading music. I’ve come along way I am now a solo instrumental guitarist. I think people like you on TH-cam that show people the correct way of playing a guitar. Sorry for the lengthy comment but I have a lot to say on this situation. All of you beginners do one thing learn to read music. Thanks for the video. Have a great day.👍🏼👍🏼😎❤️🎸

    "Ed's A Dog. Good Dog Ed" is my mnemonic. For most of 63 years, I've glanced at the fretboard and fallen immediately into unconcsiousness. Undisturbed, dusty guitars. Today, in a couple of hours, I committed all this to memory. What a great help. 12 frets, 7 notes. It ain't gonna kill you. Thanks a million!

    Not to denigrate other channels because everyone has his own way of learning but...this video is so logically explained that if I didn't understood I would have doubt of my learning capabilities ...in that note;don't worry if you don't understand at first,just keep rewinding.
    Thank you very much, now I can with confidence learn 'more ' about music.and...as always the best teacher is not the most appreciated because you only have 141thousand subs while others have millions...not fair

    • @guitar-academy
      @guitar-academy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. I teach the way I have to learn, so it has to be logical and clear. Obviously I would like more subs but I don't pay for advertising like other channels and that way I can keep as much free as is possible. 😊

    I didn't think that a voiceover using a pictorial feature as opposed to a video of a tutor with guitar in hand would present itself as such an understandable way of portraying this subject. However, this tutorial is brilliant. I've been struggling with learning the fretboard for a while now but this is as clear a tutorial as I've come across, thank you!

    THIS IS AWESOME! Beginner here... and I've played around many times off and on throughout my life but I have never had someone explain it this way. I have become discouraged in the past feeling overwhelmed by this and the way you just broke it all down makes it seem so much less daunting. Thank you for sharing and for making it so simple to understand. The visuals and your explanation have opened my eyes. Even more excited to continue learning.

Thank you very much, you give me a hope that it's not to late even for me at 56 :)

    Well, you must be the clearest most understandable music theory teacher I have come across. Even though I mostly knew the content of this video you explained it in such a good way to anyone who doesn’t understand music. Most theory even though written in English may as well be in a foreign language as normally makes no sense whatsoever, but you my friend just explained the note position in a way anyone would understand. Just subscribed and going to hunt out some of your videos on stuff that generally baffles me, hoping you will make sense of it for me. Thank you.

      Eat Acid Daily Get Baked Eternally
      This was a great program. I was a lead singer/writer over 25 years, but I've played guitar longer. I'm fairly decent at rhythm having taught myself starting with Elvis, then Beatles, Wings, Who and other great classic rock from 50's through 70's
      I never became real proficient because I didn't have the patience to learn any theory.
      I was great at parties with the acoustic and used my acoustic to write dozens of solid songs, but rarely played acoustic or electric live, and knew zero soloing.
      Now I'm retarded...er I mean retired and at 57 but don't look at day over 56 and a half, I've got time to learn! This really helped, I am actually learning new stuff (for an old dog) and having fun doing it!

    This is the very foundation to know the whole guitar fretboard, to know how to play guitar chords and guitar scales. You people have it really easy because it's very graphic and very visual, I wish I had this when I was 10. I'm 50 and I'd learned this back in 2008, TH-cam was barely happening back in 2006, I believe, and I am really thankful for the people who do this for us. Thank you!
