My 04 Sequoia has the same exact engine. It’s got 300,000 miles on it and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross country. It’s not even burning oil yet lol 😝
We have an 06' LX with 236K and I was literally just offered $20k in a Costco parking lot. Regular maintenance and they'll go a million miles. Unbelievable vehicle and better than the Land Cruiser. The 06-07 got a 40HP bump in power over previous years as well.
Crazy low miles for that year. I myself watch prices for sequoia's, land cruiserslx470 and gx 470's in my area and you stole that one. 2000 land cruisers/ lx470's with 200k miles sell for and get over $10k . You done well my friend. This vehicle may be the best suv ever made and I can't wait for the videos on this.
I recently picked up a 2000 Lexus SC400 that I'm restoring. Seeing a lot of similar issues with it. Already put some of your past videos/techniques/tips to use. Wet sanding was scary but man it brought the paint back!!! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 I'll definitely be looking forward to the videos on this one to use on what SC400 needs. Always one of my favorite channels that I'm sharing with friends.
Brian I totally agree with you when it comes to a manual transmission, I love them but unfortunately the injuries I sustained in the military keeps me from enjoying them for any length of time so I lean towards an automatic now, love the videos my friend 👍😁
Great deal! The LX470’is a beast ! Fixing /improving the cosmetic stuff - you have a super desirable truck ! Worth lots of $$$$ I’ve got a 2013 Land Cruiser - restored - 59k miles. Off and on road beast - will Last forever if maintained ! Congrats. Looking forward to your restoration videos ! Thanks !!!
Those v8 landcruisers sound really nice with a muffler delete, they have zero drone too. Here in Australia they're more popular in the 6 cylinder diesels.
The Audi is a good looking vehicle. The car can be totally a diamond ♦️ once you go over it.The Audi is a pain mechanically and I would stay away from that one.Automatic Mustang is a waste just why do they make them in automatic 🤷🏼♂️The Lexus is a great purchase Brian and junior. They can get up there in price especially with a V8. I say you did very well and you will get it looking as new.The return will be well worth your services and I see a great deal.Congratulations on the purchase well worth it 💎✊
Good choice on the land cruiser. You'll easily get a couple of 100,000 out of that. If not more. One thing if you can. Bring a good mid-level scan tool with you and plug into it. Check out all the modules. Could save you thousands of dollars in headaches.
From my own experience dealing with auction cars, when the center caps are missing that usually means the vehicle has been customized. Sometimes that's just rims, sometimes rims & stereo, sometimes it's a full custom job with exhaust/engine. Sometimes it's just someone forgot to put them back on too. Either way when the boss man brings one like that to me, first thing I do is throw it on the BEAR machine and then check the wiring harness behind the radio for a rats nest of cut wires.
So the total was $7327. I'm sure when you're done working your magic you will triple that!! Whoever buys this suv from you is a very lucky person! Looking forward to the videos.
Brian reach out to “the car care nut.”He is an expert master Lexus/ Toyota tech. He recently restored a Lexus sedan with 600,000 miles. LS430. He is the mechanical equivalent of you. Detail oriented. Nice find by the way.
The only problem with buying cars or SUV's that old is that most lenders won't lend on them due to age. So, you're pretty much looking at a cash buyer.
If you can find one....even with high mileage, they are going for crazy prices!
Yeah! You practically stole that 😂
I didn't hear what price it was but it was a good tip checking the belt replacement sticker
My 04 Sequoia has the same exact engine. It’s got 300,000 miles on it and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross country. It’s not even burning oil yet lol 😝
Hell....its just broken in! :)
Oh wow! Very low miles for that Lexus truck. Looks like the winner here.
You won the bid!! ❤️
Fingers crossed.

I look forward to returning this one back to its former glory.
Nice. I have an 04 with 193K and zero rust. Love it.
Yours is just broken it! Now you can gun it! :)

Congrats Brian on the LX!! I have wanted one for years. I have a sc430 and love the 3UZv8
Its the first time in years I have seen one at auction.
@@apexdetail85 this one might be a keeper. Hard to let a car that nice go.
I can't wait to see this Lexus come back to life.
I am eager to start digging into it. :)

I appreciate the support. Best of luck with the SC400
Love that you purchased a Lexus. Great vehicle, super reliable. Can’t wait to see the transformation! Thanks for more fantastic content…
Thanks for supporting the channel....Cheers!
This channel never disappoints
Cheers!
@@robbienyc3102 I agree 100 percent. It’s refreshing to have someone as talented as Brian not only help so many people, but he also remains humble…
@ very humble and knows about style . That Lexus is show stopper .
Even if it needs a new timing belt, water pump and major service, you still got a smoking deal. Congrats!
I would be more than happy to dig into it. I am not a certified tech...but an swing a wrench. :)

I am with you....they are a bit hard for me to enjoy for long periods of time. Hopefully by summer.

I look forward to digging into it.
That audi tt has a 3.2 engine in it, that's a really good motor; good purchase if you can find them.
Those cars are headaches.
I dont see too many TT's at auctions. I had to look at it.
@ there’s a reason for that
@@XX-166 does that engine come in any VW models? Why are those better engines than average, im curious?
@ do your homework and get back to us.
Those v8 landcruisers sound really nice with a muffler delete, they have zero drone too. Here in Australia they're more popular in the 6 cylinder diesels.
They probably sound awesome with the proper exhaust.
Nice job! They are a great find!!!!
Just bought a 07' Land Cruise...250k, 2 owner, stack of receipts, soCal owned. $22k
Lots of meat on that bone Brian.
Just broken in!! I wish you the best with your new ride.....ENJOY!
Nice score! We need to see this done, looking forward to it
I am eager to dig into it.
I have an 07 Sequoia 4wd. Love the 4.7.
Very impressive.
Great video hope it's a good vehicle!! Looking forward to the coming videos!! Thanks!!

That’s a nice one! Glad you got it and can’t wait to see you do your magic!
Lots of content to come with this one.
You did great on this one. You'll make good money on it!
Fingers crossed.
Congrats on your new addition. It should come out nice.
There is an old gentleman here in the pocono that cruises one of these every day. And it’s always clean
He should come down to😊👍 Wernersville for a visit!

I would bring my Zurich....but most of these auctions do not leave you bring them in.
Oh boy! Can't wait. These videos will be priceless. Take your time, Brian. Do a deep dive with this car. I'm waiting.......lol.
Absolutely! lots of work = lots of content. :)
Nice score
This is gonna be one sick ride...

Great point....I will take a closer look.
Glad to hear you called those headlights out on that Thunderbird! Lol
Almost everything at these auctions needs HL restoration. LOL
@ I bet! It’s an AMAZING business to be in! Never ending. Easy 6 figure/year income
Very interesting stuff Brian"s... ya never know 👌🤞🤔

Better purchase Lexus,no brainer,great investment

I will take a look.
145k is barely broken in lol
hahaha....agreed.
very good price if frame is decent
Frame looks ok. 👍
@apexdetail85 it's a steal then. the leather on my steering wheel is rubbed off and peeling. any suggestions appreciated.
Oh yes it has VVT!
Yup...hence that slight boost in HP. It is noticeable.
Throttle body probably needs cleaning on the audi. It wouldn't be an audi if it didn't have the money light on.😁
LOL...Agreed.
Battery needs posts cleaned on the Lexus.
I will probably replace that second hand battery. And clean the posts as well.👍
I did a quick look up on the Lexus LX 470, CarGurus has two listed at @ $16K, please let us know if you buy it?
I guess I should watch the video entirely before I comment...
We got it. :) Time to bring it back to its former glory. Stay tuned!

Absolutely correct. Cash deal. Which means I have to be patient.
Best way to go.. no financing needed and you have a well built vehicle.
It’s a no on the t-Bird
The bidding started at 10K.....Oh hell no.
I’m certain when you’re all done reconditioning I’d ask $15,000
Fingers crossed.
First!!!!°°
Still a loser and always will be.
The Lexus needs a second timing belt. 9 years old.
No problem. While I am in there...I can replace some seals as well.
Audi - hard no! Run.
I did. 😂👍
