    Peter, you are so amazing. I am organizing a pastel outfit at the moment. I love pastels but I have my edgy black look and my calm neutrals such as browns and linens for the summer.

    Another great video that adds value. I am going to try your method soon. It feels good to get rid of clutter and know what you have. How often we forget what you already have because you haven't gone through your inventory lately.

    Every new video is a thrill and a thought-provoking exercise - excellent as always, thanks for sharing!
    Quite an interesting approach, reminds me a traditional Systems Engineering school of thinking, that has similar design steps like: assessing the needs, gradually building the big picture, identifying existing pieces of puzzle and finding empty spaces in between, formulating "mission statement", etc. All good stuff that allows to boil down nebulous pains and wishes into a crisp set of requirements that could be used to start the detailed design process.

    Good step by step video. You mentioned OCBD being a staple for you. I found it tedious maintaining the neck part clean, it just kept staining. What are your suggestions for keeping white OCBDs clean? Thanks!

    • @PetersPrism
      @PetersPrism  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I pre-treat my OCBD collars by soaking them in cold water and applying a mixture that’s equal parts Dawn dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda (I hit the cuffs with these too if they’re looking grimy). Then I put them in the laundry machine in a cold wash cycle with gentle detergent and let them air dry. Little bit of a pain but this works for me!

      @@PetersPrism in case this helps: i buy disposable collar liners online; they're 1-inch-wide cotton strips with a very weak adhesive. i initially bought them to protect my neck from scratchy new linen shirts; only belatedly realized that they're useful on white OCBDs, too.

    It may sound silly but I've been struggling this topic. For me, fashion is how I communicate and relate to the world around me. I think of clothes as the language we use to communicate our integration with (or opposition to) societal mythology.
    It really seems like there's no place for my values in this modern world and I'm reminded me of that everyday by the fact that everyone just looks like total shit everywhere. There's fashion that I love but it's become so disconnected from post-Frankfurt reality that it feels like wearing an absurd costume

    • @PetersPrism
      @PetersPrism  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I definitely relate to this. There are clothes I would love to wear but I know I'd stand out in the worst way imaginable, simply because of context. I believe, however, that it's OK to stand out to a certain extent, even if there is a percentage of folks who look at your clothes as 'absurd costume.' So maybe sometimes it's not the 100% full look but a distillation of it. There will always be haters no matter what you do. I think the important thing is to try and stay true to who you are and what you want to express, tempered in the reality of your environment.
