I'm 31 years old and to be honest, I don't care anymore what women like or don't like. There are many things men don't like about todays modern women, but women never think of changing their style and behaviour.
Well hey man, you can always die broken and alone👍. Or.....take accountability for yourself and find the great ones who are out there waiting for a great guy.
Nothing tops a suited up man better than a nice fedora. Period. YOUNG women may not like it but GROWN women appreciate it. There's a big difference between a kid wearing "Dads" hat and trying to look cool and DAD wearing his hat and owning it.
Regarding hats, I would say it's very seasonal. I receive(d) numerous compliments for my Panama-style sun hat during hot weather and similarly for my Icelandic-wool beanie in cold weather. I think with anything style-related, there has to be some sort of deliberate thought behind the choices and not worn as a "cool thing" or a meme-piece.
@@mtlicq It's a soft Boater, and it has a larger brim than usual (6cm, when most boaters have a 5cm brim), very useful for the strong sun of my city. It looks more like a 1950s boater than a 1920s one 🤝
I get compliments on my flat caps/ivy caps all the time from women. I'm always told its the baseball caps women don't want to see on men over 30. Beanie hats fit fine in cold weather, otherwise they look silly in warm weather. Like anything you will find women who love/hate facial hair, baldness, etc as well as hats on men, but to blanket say no hats is very wrong IMO.
I can't understand how beanie is giving anyone the "ick". I might agree if we're talking about wearing large beanies all year round like some Jesse Pinkman, but a proper wool beanie is a must-have in winter and it can be quite stylish too.
I think it's how you wear it. If it's cold out and you wear one that fits and is pulled down and then neatly folded up at the brim like a navy man's "watch cap", then it looks sharp... but if you wear it slouchy with sweats, etc. like you plan to carry around a skateboard for your entire life, then women will ignore you.
Fedoras with casual clothes… No; with at least a blazer or sport coat/button down collar shirt… Yes. A panama with beach wear… Yes. And unless you're traveling, no trilbies at all. lol My 2 cents as a classic stylist.
2:10 ; ahem, it's actually called a "Toque" and you speak very boldly for someone who doesn't live in Canada. We get COLD weather, and we NEED the toques to stay warm. Every REAL man wears a toque in Canada. mic drop.
It's a shame for me that the Fedora have that kind of bad fame, even if it's not my favorite hat. And even worse for me, the "Neckbeard" meme doesn't even have any Fedoras there, those are TRILBYS! (Very ugly trilbys to be honest)
I wear a Fedora, not a trilby, with a suit or blazer. I have never gotten any negative remarks, only compliments. But I don’t look like that obese guy in the snapshot. I don’t think you have to as good looking as John Hamm to make it work. Wear your fedora the way Dana Andrews or Humphrey Bogart would: properly sized, properly perched on your head, not trying to be cute. Grown men are not cute.
@@michaelblazin4093 Very well said sir! Fedoras are beautiful hats, and when they are nice sized (Brim and crown) and you carry them with a proper ensemble, they look excellent. I think the reason for me to dislike trilbys is the size, the short brim, and the short crown. For me, it looks as an incomplete version of a Fedora
As a young lady in the 80s, one of my university professors wore the 501 Button down jeans with a button collar shirt- so hot then and now! (No I didn't date the professor).
You can often just use a knife (preferably a torn knife) to remove the logos from clothing. Logos are often just stiched on and I find that it simply looks better when I remove them.
He did a video about that, if I remember right. If you hold the door for a woman to get into a taxi, do NOT walk behind the taxi to other side to get in. The taxi drives away with only her in it ! LOL
Because you should spend a lot of money on quality ski and hair products, meaning you can’t but them at Walmart or a grocery store. A quality bottle body wash costs $55
My guess is that woman view it as cheap or uncaring about grooming. That's because the two products are somewhat mutually exclusive (Shampoo is to remove dirt and oil. Conditioner is moisturize and lay down a coating or mantle.)
Women can think whatever they want and I support them in that. I'll keep doing my thing whatever it is regardless of the opinion of majority of women - I'll wear pink skinny jeans inside out if I decide to.
The ultimate Ick is the infamous "Plumber's Butt". But also, as a man I grew up in the era when a man's suit was always properly fitted. It was in bad taste to wear a suit which was too tight and looked cheaply made. I see this all the time especially in combination with trousers which are much too tight and poorly fitted. A suit jacket which is too tight and poorly fitted will always ruin the effect of the suit. A man would be better off to wear a properly fitted sports jacket with quality chinos or dark jeans.
Speaking of hats, surprisingly ushankas (of course not those communist-styled ones) are actually admired here in Poland by a lot of girls. But remember, there IS a correct way to wear them, that is with flaps tied upwards. Flaps down are also acceptable if there's a big frost, but NEVER tie them when down. And flaps backwards is also strange, but not such a heresy as flaps dwon and tied. Meanwhile I only use ankle socks for the gym or if I forget to do the laundry and I run dry of normal socks.
*Hats:* I don't care about the lowest common-denominator opinion. Toques are essential for survival in winter, other hats protect against sun-glare and rain, and choose according to class or casual level. What is stupid is to not protect your head from wind, rain, UV, and cold. Classic "old-fashioned" hats usually stay on better and perform better than baseball hats on windy days. *Skinny jeans:* Agreed 100%. leotards for soyboys Trous d'eau loves them. *Ankle socks or no socks:* Agreed! 100% Pretty on women, but it is effeminate AND ugly on men. Add fancy goofy socks too *Golf shirt / Polo shirt:* You're kidding! Pure cotton golf/polo shirt, no problem! Classy casual shirt.
Glad I'm happily married with many types of hats (classic included). Dear men, if a girl really likes you, worry not, she will work to change you despite your fashion sense, then you know you're in the zone. Follow her advice when with her to show respect, then be free when on your own. Gonna stick with my boxers unless she revokes bras, but if she hands me a pair of whatever, better believe I'll put them on for her.
Agree with #'s 2-9, especially the comments on ripped jeans and showing your backside which is really embarassing. The comment on hats is a little baffling. I have found the exact opposite to be true. Yes, beanies can look juvenile and some hats may not look good on a particular person. A well dressed man will look even better when his outfit is paired with a hat. I always wear a fedora or panama with a suit. For more casual outfits I wear a flat or newsboy cap and baseball caps only for very informal wear. I receive many compliments from women too. They appreciate a man who takes pride in his appearance and does not walk around looking like a bum. I recommend wearing hats both for their practical use and to add a touch of class to your outfits.
I hate baseball hats on non-baseball players. Especially if they are dirty or stained and if they're worn backwards. Ick! I also don't care for ripped or torn jeans unless you're doing messy/dirty work. In case it matters I'm a 70 year old woman.
Understanding the difference between what is objectively attractive and what is simply common can be challenging for many people. These two concepts are not synonymous. Consider architecture. The same styles of buildings seen in ancient Rome are present on major college campuses in the United States, particularly at land-grant universities from the era of Thomas Jefferson, and they're prevalent throughout Washington D.C. These architectural styles are timeless, drawing their beauty from proportion, lines, and symmetry. Clothing follows a similar pattern. Some garments remain classic and timeless, objectively appealing, while others gain popularity for reasons unknown. For instance, if you asked women which coat they find unappealing and showed them a classic wool overcoat with peak lapels, or a puffer coat, they may say the classic coat gives them the "ick" simply because they've never known anyone to wear one. However, in reality, no sane person thinks the proportions, fabric or style of a puffer coat is attractive. Hats present a similar situation. Few would argue that a Chicago Bears baseball cap is timeless or particularly attractive, yet you'll find thousands of young men sporting them in Chicago on any given day. In contrast, spotting someone in a fedora would be a rare sight. I recently attended an event hosted by Optimo Hats in Chicago, where the founder organized a jazz gathering and paid tribute to his mentor. In this setting, a room full of men sported classic hats at a jazz club. I asked my wife, "Imagine if this room were filled with men wearing baseball caps, some backward, most forward. Would they appear more attractive?" She unequivocally replied, "Oh god, no!" It's understandable that anything unusual might initially seem off-putting. However, those who can think beyond the "common = stylish = cool" mindset might agree that classic hats, when worn correctly, have an allure. Conversely, someone who finds something like a Yeezy Foam Runner appealing purely because it's popular will never see past the "popular = attractive" mentality.
I'm 31 years old and to be honest, I don't care anymore what women like or don't like. There are many things men don't like about todays modern women, but women never think of changing their style and behaviour.
If you want a woman you'll need to care, women who dress like this either search for simps or don't search anyone for a relationship
Why should they change? They don’t need to

Fedoras can be very attractive. I wear Panamas in summer and a mix of tweed baker boy/flat cap and fedoras depending on the weather...

Being equipped to defend one's self or others would fall under the rubric of chivalry and hence be gentlemanly.
