    Great demo for making simple pouches. It is so much easier to apply interfacing if you press the fabric before you start.

    Reading the comments I realized that moms who sew are the same when it comes to reuse things! Mine used to take off zipers, bottons, ribbons etc from old clothes. I do the same now 😊. Mothers who sew are the same wherever they are. I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷 ❤

    My mom was very frugal when it came to zippers. When she was going to throw something out that had a zipper in it, she would take the zipper out and save them. All you had to do when you needed a zipper, just go look in her zipper box.

    Mine ended up 6x8, I’m getting back into the swing on making pouches. Not totally happy on the ends of my zips but they are getting better. Tomorrow I start making bags to give Paul Sartori. I went down there a few weeks ago and picked up some bag making material. So most will go back into bags to sell. Have a good afternoon. Xx

    If you would have used the zipperfoot the topstitch would have had a bit more room... but by gosh you sewed it so well you made it work! Great job!

    • @TheTwinsDay
      @TheTwinsDay  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Elizabeth sometimes you really don’t need to use zipper foot if you have enough room for top stitch, as long as the space fits and the side of the pressure foot touch the side of the zipper

    I wish I had seen this a couple of hours ago. I just cut mine in half and cut out 1.5 inch squares out. And was looking for tutorials on if my lining should be the same or bigger than the outside. I just spent days slow stitching on mine. This would've been so much easier.

    If you use those rolls of zippers and not individual zipper, slide the slider onto the selected length then cut it from the main roll. As you can tell from the video, getting the slider back onto the zipper teeth is not easy as anyone can testify who has tried to fix a zipper on a garment. Stay cool and keep sewing.
