This could come in VERY handy on the newer Jeeps with the dual battery, auto stop/start setup. There’s a secondary aux battery that is notorious for failing and then draining your main battery, then you end up not being able to crank off of the main battery because the failed aux battery has killed it. If you connected this to that aux battery you could get some insight into when it might be failing. 🤔
Like your approach to working man's mechanics I would advise learning how to buy and install starter & alternator kits, a easy fix And he'll of a lot cheaper.
I need this! I've been having issues with my battery going dead on the job site when I leave the lift gate or doors open (05 Suburban) for what seems to be a short periods of time. The time out feature seems to be working. I've checked for parasitic drains and tested the battery and everything seems to check out fine. (scratching my head)... This thing would give me some piece of mind when time gets away from me or I'm the last one one the job with no one to jump start me. Thanks for sharing!
This device is a piece of sh#t. My dashcam is hardwired to my car and without using my car, the battery lasts more than 24 hours. After I installed this device, my car battery will just last for 12 hours or less. No, my battery has not degraded because when I removed this device, my battery lasts more than 24 hours again. This junk is more harmful than it's supposed to be helpful as it turned out to cause a parasitic drain.
