    Oh I wish I had your imagination! Oh, and skill, of course! 😂 I love this painting so much. Unlike another comment on here I don’t like the music, but it’s no problem to turn the sound down and just enjoy your demonstration. Just beautiful. ❤

    Wow, those Daniel Smith paints are certainly great with the granulating effects! Amazing colors and doodling! One of yr best, Bettina! Really liked the music, too, very reminiscent of the old Charlie Brown cartoons…😉

    An old credit card works great to scape off the salt.The salt can be reused, but you may want to rinse it off to get rid of the color. This is a beautiful piece and I really like the new gold!🌸

      Great tip! Thanks Tracy! I might just keep that salt and use it to create something different 😊 it's really pretty!

      not on purpose. That's why I said to rinse the salt and then let it dry on a paper towel. If you don't rinse it you can get little halos of the previous color on your new piece; not a bad thing but something to keep in mind.

      @@_bettina_fernandez_What does the salt do? Is it for sparkle or to create negative space

    Hi Bettina, I was so inspired by your swatching of this set of watercolors that I found one flying all the way from Japan from a master set II. It was only $35 dollars and I only have one watercolor tube from that set. Thanks again!. Oh and the 6 set of Winsor and Newton granulation tubes are at black for 35.99 and they are quite beautiful. This is very Beautiful! But I do have a couple of questions... did you use cold pressed paper, why and isn't it hard on your pens. Thanks Bettina 😊❤

    • @_bettina_fernandez_
      @_bettina_fernandez_  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Linda! Yes, this is cold pressed and usually, when I use the Baohong paper, I use the backside as it is a little bit smoother. For the full granulation effect today though, I actually used the rougher front side. I even used super fine pens (0.03, 0.05) and found it to be relatively easy! I have to say though, this paper compared to say, the Arches brand, is not 'as' rough. I had no problems even with the finest pens. The rough texture also gave the lines extra unique-ness, as it is impossible to draw straight lines on it 😆 I hope I answered everything! 😊

    • @_bettina_fernandez_
      @_bettina_fernandez_  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lynn, you are too kind to ask. I'm not selling at the moment. I'm working on a web shop and eventually I will have prints (and hopefully originals as well) up for purchase. I'm saving up to buy a printer, that is compatible with printing great prints. My goal is to have everything up and running this Fall, fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Of course, I will announce it here on TH-cam, once everything is ready to go ❤️💕

    Why did you wet the back of the paper?

    • @_bettina_fernandez_
      @_bettina_fernandez_  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So that when I put water on the front it won't curl up on me but flatten back out instead.
