My husband likes to doodle with watercolor as well. He made me a beautiful bookmark. He also paints birds and landscapes. I like to paint flowers/natural objects and still life. I do paint tight unlike my husband who is so beautifully loose. He is 65 years old and this is his first try at art at all! Subbed!

because these are a bit simplistic & smaller, I'm using them to make Thinking of You HNY cards for friends. I had already asked them for their 4 fave colors & I'll use those to make multiple versions for individuals suited to their preferences. I get more experience, they get color combos I already know they'll like. Thanks for helping me to finish one year/start the next with creative satisfaction !! Bettina for the win!! ;-)

I really love these short, easy, sample paintings! They make me feel more capable of producing something similar - not as overwhelming as the bigger ones. Of course the bigger ones have a greater variety of doodles to learn, so there are pros and cons to both sizes. I’m looking forward to day three! 😊

Fun play!! Posca pens are exciting!

I love this piece and I think you are being too hard on yourself. This time of year it can be really hard to take on even “one more thing or one more decision”. I haven’t been watching much myself, as I am unable to paint, or draw, due to severe epicondylitis. So it’s hard to watch and not be able to get out my paint and play. But I always enjoy watching your videos and this piece is lovely!

I started out making & sending monthly cards to all on my friends/family list & kept that up for a year. Then thought "I wanna expand my horizons, practice diff mediums to use on cards." what followed was an 18 month TH-cam tutorial rabbit hole, where I prepped, bought supplies & added over 3,000 "to watch later" posts but made nothing! I'm committed to using your upcoming "shorter & less involved 12 Days of Christmas" posts to get back into a "create" mode: "Create for yourself / Share with others" being my '25 mantra!! Whether I try to replicate or modify, I'm gonna Nike the snot outta what you share ["Just do it!"] ;-)

at 13:00, "the last shape I added started to look a little wonky". Good description & that was my thot, too, tho I also thot, "I bet that's not acceptable to her cuz it doesn't seem to fit". And then I immediately thot, "it'll be interesting to see how she modifies it." ;-)

I have a question. What makes you see, beginner or advanced ? I think they are all beautiful.

A question for you: Your dishes off to the right show 4 purples, then a pink - but your supplies list only gives 3 purples before the opera pink. Could you tell me which purple is not listed, and which of the 4 dishes it's in (so I know what order it goes in of the 4 you applied? not that I'm going to try and exactly replicate your piece, but just to satisfy my curiosity!) :-) Thanks!
