Glade you ride this bike. Im really hoping to hold out for a Pinion equipped bike from the likes of Marin/Polygon or Merida ect! ( The great value for money brands) before I buy a new ebike . If I can't wait it will be this bike
Hi Alex, you mentioned it was an XL that you tested. Can I ask how tall you are and how you felt the XL was? I am 6'3" and can't find a demo anywhere here in Oz to test the size on.
I'm 6' XL was a tad too big. For you probably ideal.

So, which one do you prefer the most, the carbon or the aluminum version? Also, what is the bottom bracket height? There is also a new similar to the Merida 875 E160 bike from Marin, the new Alpine Trail E Bosch, would like to see how these two bikes are compared
Nice video Alex , nice trails over there. It look nice this new E160 but in my opinion is a lot heavier than the last generation ( I have a Merida E160 700 whit a Fox Factory 38 180 size L) and is just 24.3 kg . The new E160 is around 26.5 -27 kg and I don't understand from where . The battery difference must be max 1 kg between the 630 wh and the 750. Also in size L it feels much smaller than the old one , it feels almost like an M size . I was thinking to buy the new Merida but after the test ride I think I will go with another brand ( Score 6080 z is in my mind now)

The Marin and Merida are the two killer fun options at good prices for 2024...
The |Carbon one is nice, slightly lighter, but based on what i experienced with teh 875, its a really top option.
@@alexbiketester 875 or 8000 which one is better ?
@@silverpro8356 the 875 is an impressive ride feel for the money.
Ragazzone.... so "big boy"..... 🤪🤟
what is the price on these? is it still cheaper to buy a car then an ebike?
depends on the car... 5000-10000 is guide pricing
