Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓 I’ve been into Korean music since 1998 when I was 15, and using “kpop stan” is more catchy (super cringe or not) than “person who’s listened to Korean music since 1998”, amirite or AMIRITE.😂

I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since. The genre, along with artists like Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, etc. then motivated me into becoming a hip-hop/pop dancer, which was a very active lifestyle for me literally throughout my whole 20s. (XTRA DANCE 411- I danced for, trained, and performed with 4 different dance teams. My first and main dance team who started my "dance life" was with Marvelous Motion (who later became IaMmE, America's Best Dance Crew Season 6 Champions). A lot of my dance training came from Di "Moon" Zhang, Brandon "747" Harrell, Emilio Dosal, SOREAL, and from attending many dance classes in Houston and L.A. (from amazing local talent to widely-known talents such as Parris Goebel, Keone Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, Lando Wilkins, Mister Wiggles, Rino Nakasone)
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music and dance around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis, seizures, and a heart murmur. I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with Kpop or dance. Luckily, I'm in remission now. That doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups if I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible. I am also not capable of being an active dancer like I used to be due to my chronic illnesses, but I’m still a dancer in my mind, heart, and soul.
ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon and also using what I’ve learned from my dance years to give credit where it’s due!

I really loveeee Lisa being not outshined by her own dance group unlike other solo artists I've watched recently and that's amazing! the swag, the charisma... Lisa is just so satisfying to watch. I really like the control she have on everything. "she's the star" screams in all of her solo performances. LALISA is ONE OF THE BEST dancer we had at this generation.

That "boom, boom" is what producers call the "808" beat. It refers to the Roland TR-808 drum machine. It helps create the Hip-Hop grooves with a thundering bass/synth bass, combined with a thudding kick drum sound. They don't make the TR-808 anymore, however, I'm fairly certain that Teddy Park has one!
Yo! My daughter and I like this song. We probably listen to it daily while driving to dance practice or softball practice. But I LOVE THIS SONG after seeing the dance practice. I’m a wannabe dancer (never took a lesson but I know how to move). I just love Lisa’s style. We are close in age and I too see Aaliyah all over Lisa when she’s dancing. She just has that aura of “I know I’m a great dancer, period” Not a great girl dancer but just a great dancer. I think Aaliyah had that too. And when you talked about those long limbs that just look so good when they are under control, I was shaking my head YES. Aaliyah and Lisa, they look long. Lisa is killing me with her dancing skills. It’s just great to watch. Another person I think of is Ciara today. I always think of those three in the same area.

“Booty” count: 12 😹 I love how you break down choreography. How am I not a subscriber?! I am now. It irks me when I hear people say “I expected more from Lisa. She didn’t dance hard enough. She can do better.” and claim the choreo in “Money” and “Lalisa” are too easy?! Thank you for putting the choreography in perspective. The choreography has to fit the song and this choreo made me love this song even more! I love the jumps and the way she controlled the dancers (you pointed out a couple of things I didn’t catch the first time). And yes, Lisa gives great face! Peace love 🖤💗

I liked how you talked about other possible interpretations of the lyrics, and how they tie into the dance. I think that another of the interpretations has to do with the slang of "money" meaning "great". So when she came here to drop some money, she came here to drop another banger.
For a long time, I've also meant to say how much I like the way you run your intro. By pausing the reaction, and playing the recorded intro, I think it creates the feeling that you're more invested in getting to the reaction.

I really appreciate your reaction over Lisa's dance . For me , it's not prominent that every dance moves are difficult because Lisa is doing every movements easily and smoothly. (This may be because I don't know anything abt dance.)

As always, your dissection of the whole dance was very enlightening! I'm no dancer so it's always nice to see an actual dancer break things down like this. Just showing how difficult certain moves were or even the details that we may not notice, I'm all for that! So basically, loved the vid 👌

Pirate booty lol. I love u notice Lisa’s faces. No one really notices that Lisa sings when she dances. I mean she is singing a song but if you go back and watch her lili films and or watch her when she randomly dances anytime and she sings the song being played. It’s like the two will always go together. Some people can’t multiple task they are doing counts or trying to focus on the dance steps but Lisa isn’t she is just enjoying the song as much as the dance. It’s really a small detail that’s a big impact
