lisa said it herself when she's with her group or dancing with other people she don't want to outstand them she wants her energy and skills to be kinda the same level as them to balance it out so when she's dancing for or with people who isn't that great she's suppressing her skills so that their energy would still be balance or not shame them but when dancing with people that are much better you can see she's not suppressing it that much anymore and it's better BUT when it's for her or when she's dancing alone HOLY SHIT you can really see her talent and gifted skills cus there's no reason for her to hold back and give her all anymore and for us to see how she truly dance how she wants to and how she needs to so i really think everyone is just holding her back. she needs to go SOLO and spread her wings alone!

Lisa is in a room full of other dancers (who're doing fantastic!!), but still I just can't take my eyes off of Lisa! Her dancing, swag and charisma are what first got me into KPop roughly 3 years ago. She just oozes talent. Now KPop is pretty much the only 'genre' I listen to and for me at least, BlackPink and Lisa will always hold a special place in my heart.
She trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and Latin dance. Her strong arms and lines are my favorite thing about her. Watch the lili film: movie too. That choreo is AMAZING ❤
she also works out in kick boxing and Pilates just to keep in shape.
She is the main dancer of Blackpink not for nonsense and one of the best dancer in her generation for KPOP Idol. On a reality show a few years ago she accepted the challenge of copying another idol group's choreography with just one look at the screen and all the MCs and other Blackpink members were amazed by her ability to remember every move without missing a single detail. She is nicknamed as if she has a computer superchip in her brain because she has a sharp memory for every dance moves.
Lisa is crazy talented.
Lisa started dance/singing classes since she's young (like in kinder or elementary school), joined hip-hop dance group and won competition before her teen years, so when YG has audition in Thailand she participate and was the only 1 of 4000 that was picked, moved to Korea by herself at 14 and trained with the company for 5 years before debut, she had learned to perfect her craft since young age and it shows in her movements and body lines.
she is been dancing since 3 years old at the age of 10 - 12 years old she is winning dance contest and singing contest in thailand
When she was a trainee she was in charge of the choreographys every months. So Lisa could show how good she was and still

If you know this girl's growth experience, I don't think you will doubt Lisa's dance skills and proficiency, because Lisa has learned dance and participated in various competitions since she was a child, and has been judged and taught by dance experts from all walks of life time and time again (including on the Internet. venomous comment), no less experience than any professional dancer!! From my point of view, Lisa is no worse than the professional dancers beside her!
Thanks for the reaction! I echo the suggestions that others have made requesting reactions to Lisa's "LiliFilm" dance performances. I especially like her Lilifilm dance performance number 4 and her "Lilifilm -- The Movie" dance performances. (Lilifilm is the name of Lisa's own youtube channel.) You may also be interested in a collaboration video that she recently did called "Shoong!". The video/song is by a performer named Taeyang. Lisa has a significant role in the middle (and both she and Taeyang are really good dancers, I think). It includes a nice interactive dance scene between Lisa and Taeyang that's quite fun to watch.

I think the problem with bp in concert, is that however good a rapper she is, Jennie has low stamina and gets winded easily, as well Jisoo as much of a great singer (my favourite singer in the group), she is the least gifted at dancing. Both have progressed a lot but not enough to make hard choreography for 2 hours. So the choreo stays minimal and Lisa and Rose have to tone it down to not look out of place. They are aware of this and are really good to play with the crowd and play on their great stage presence to make up for it. It still works but it’s nice to see Lisa who is the main dancer of the group get her chance to shine with these videos, lili films and solos on stage.

well said. im glad somebody voiced this out despite many solo fans of the girls denying it to high heavens. The company keeps emphasizing harmony & unity that's why the dance perf is not impressive (meaning if 2 of the dancers are weak, then the stronger 2 pull back and adjust to the weaker ones) & Main Dancer Lisa is not showing her strenths to full capacity (hence, the LILI FILM dance vids, wc are now also being controlled by YGE after LISA made waves w her solo album & they put her Lilifilm yt channel under the company). PLUS, during grp performance formation/transitions, LISA is placed at the back most of the time despite being the MD, unlike other kpop grps

This is a LeeJung choreography, that's her in a close up shot at 7:09 She is the leader of YGX, the dance troupe for YG, and yes she does know Lisa very well and choreographed this to her strengths
great reaction. totally honest. I haven’t thought about correlating Lisa’s yoga/pilates to her dancing lines. glad you pointed that out since her form are always amazing when pictured and paused in every video. Her stance and posture never awkward. She’s doing pilates btw. But she’s been a talented young kid ever since she’s 4..and was honed earlier. You can tell she’s a great performer and happier on stage.

Lisa has said that she tones down her dancing for better cohesion in groups performances. Please react to we rock full performance youth with you Lisa performance. She was a dance mentor on a Chinese boy group survival show. She also did some wayv and nct dances also.
Also separately I also want to add that I went to their concert in LA and the energy was there and really enjoyed myself. I think it’s sort of hit or miss with then though because even though they’re on tour, they have been flying across the globe having to fulfill different obligations at the same time. Jennie had to go to the Cannes film festival for an HBO show she is in and arrived two hours before soundcheck for their two day bangkok concert. This tour is longer then most kpop tours with the exception of 2019 bts, and they’re flying all over at the same time.
i have a different opinion on this hit and miss thing though. I went to their concert here in Manila and watched all the vids of BP WT from the SK kick off right up to the BKK Encore, Coachella, the perf for the President & FL of France. It is very evident who is the consistent performer amongst them despite whoever is watching them or who the concert crowd is
@@Mysweetings I agree that she is very consistent, however I would say Dallas for obvious reasons was very off for her, with regard as to facials etc. However what I meant was although 1 sometimes 2 are consistent. The others are hit or miss rather.

All four in the group are good dancers, but the other three all admit that Lisa is the best. I've seen a couple of videos where they were on a Korean TV show, and the hosts played a 30 second clip of a dancer from another group. Lisa watched it, asked to again see one part of it, and she learned the moves that quickly, with about 95% accuracy. She's a natural talent who can control most every muscle in her body. Her long arms and legs go a long way in accentuating her lines and form.

Actually Lisa is a Boxer! That’s part of her work out routine! On top of the other attributes that were listed! Lisa and Rosé have to work out extra since they had COVID they’ve been getting sick a lot too where Lisa will let her members rap for her! Jisoo now has more stamina since she started jogging! Lisa knows exactly what she’s doing with her arms because she could easily be a choreographer but she prefers to let LeeJung and Silvergunnnn do their thing!🙏🏻
i'm not a professional but i personally think pink venom dance practice and shut down dance practice are their best performances as a group. so if u want to see more energized blackpink choreo i recommend those! again i'm not a professional so sorry if ur disappointed 😅

There’s a reason why “lazy jennie” was a thing early on. They really have to dumb down the choreo when they’re performing as a group. Glad Lisa got her chance to shine in her solo work
I don't really follow Blackpink but it's impossible to not be aware of the existence of the members.
Lisa has her own TH-cam channel where she uploaded a few dance covers (choreographed by herself, I think) and they're very, very, interesting.
I read another person suggesting reacting to Lee Chaeyeon and I couldn't agree more. She has an immediately recognizable dance style. I suggest watching her studio choom's artist of the month "16 shots". Fun fact: she was the first idol to be featured in that video series.

Consider this: YG Entertainment gave Black Pink their debut in 2016. They got the girls together in 2011 (Rose came one year later and replaced someone). The four worked 14 to 16 hours a day, six days a week (with little pay but did get room and board) and not knowing for sure if they actually would get their debut as a group. I'm fairly certain YG is happy with the result.
That you don't really like their videos is okay, as you lean toward your craft as a choreographer/dancer, and a large part of their music videos don't show as much dancing. But, I believe you'd like most of their live performances, because they do the same dance routines as in the dance practice videos you are so fond of.

I also feel the choreography is not so great when it comes to Blackpink & I think it's very humble of Lisa to tone it down to not outshine the others in the group. I feel Rose can keep up with Lisa. I really wish they had choreo like BTS or Jesse's choreo in NuNu Nana. The girls in Jesse's choreo are great & wished Blackpink could do choreo like that. Still I'm a Blink & always root for them. You should check her Lili films #1-5.

I would like see your reaction to lee chaeyeon she one best kpop dancers she has her own solo dance on studio choom and She has her own solo songs called Knock, hush rush, and I Don't Wanna Know dance practice. I agree with you about Blackpink choreo and energy. I think the girls are individually good dancers, especially Lisa and Rose. But I don't think BP choreo lets them really shine. Especially compared to the new 4th gen girl group choreo out there. I went to their concert and it was decent, but the energy definitely wasn't as great as other concerts I've seen. It was fun and the music is great, but I can definitely feel that 1% missing at their show.
It was so brutal when Xiaouiris said: "From what I've seen from Blackpink, they don't really make an effort when they're on tour" 😭😂😂
But it's true tho, and it doesn't come from a place of hate. Even fans have started to appropriate that meme.
