Oh, my God. This is the funniest thing Pemberley Digital has yet made. The turn thing, the discomfort, and still seeming uptight as a spoon. This channel has now become one of my essentials.
Mr. Collins, you have inspired me to book passage to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, simply so that I may utilize the knowledge you have here imparted, to show the denizens of this, the largest city in Kentucky, that not all outsiders are ignorant on a matter of such import. Thank you.
I'm impressed. This is an issue that I've been concerned about since childhood, and about which many are ignorant. It's just grating when people say it incorrectly. Good job, Collins and Collins. You've made the world a better place.
Oh god this is so perfect I can hardly stand it. However, as I CAN still stand-albeit unsteadily-I must give an ovation in that position to Mister Collins! Excellent work! Bravo, sir! BRAVO!
As a watcher of these videos from Eastern Kentucky and a roommate to someone from Louisville, I will happily let you know that it is a common mistake and there are a number of ways to pronounce Louisville. Thank you for the shout out to Kentucky and our awesomeness.
As someone whose ex/friend is from Louisville, that was awesome. By the way, Mr. Collins, what's your opinion on calling all sweetened carbonated beverages "Coke"?
I hate it when people call things other than Coke Coke. "What kind of Coke?" should never be a question. Just call it "soda" or "pop." (Although "soda" is far more acceptable amirite, East coasters?)
Hahaha, Mr. Collins! I grew up in KY and this is the quickest way to figure out whether someone was a native or not. :) I then moved to Boston and had to learn the proper way to pronounce the local towns: Worcester, Gloucester, Billerica, etc. And in Vegas you can figure out if someone's a tourist by the way they pronounce Nevada.
Very entertaining video! In my hometown we have streets named after famous writers and composers. My siblings and I, always used the original pronunciation of these places when talking about them. It wasn't until last year--31 years after I left--that we discovered our fellow townsfolk pronounced them quite differently. For example: Beethoven was indeed pronounced "Bee-thoven," Bach was "Batch," and Goethe was "Goh-eth."
Lol-- I feel like I'm watching Sesame Street for grownups. I love how you can see him turn from camera to camera between the jump cuts.
I just love that he refers to going to Kentucky as "traveling abroad".
Also that you can see him turning between the cuts. So good.

Having myself recently visited the Commonwealth in question I can attest to the veracity of Mr. Collins' comments and the utility of his remarks.

Whoever requested for the topic is a genius.
As someone who was born and raised in Kentucky, as well as graduated from the University of Louisville, I find this video so perfect.
This is the best thing ever. Maxwell Glick = perfect.

I misread the board as "Electrocution." Whoops

as someone who has adopted Louisville as her city but was not raised here, I got a huge kick from this. bless you, Mr Collins.

Did you visit Peabody (pronounced "Pee-biddy")? :)
Amy Watson I live in MA and used to think Worcester was pronounced "Wor-chest-er" 😂
As a non-native living in KY I feel this. But I'm afraid it's all UK down these parts.
That is just fabulous! Terrific "How To" video! Thanks so much for doing such a wonderful job
Oh my god I am loving these videos.
anyone else ridiculously excited about the sneak preview of Mr Collins wearing sunglasses in the next episode??
This was perfect!
I just can't with these videos. They're so awesome xD
This was so delightful. XD
These make me so happy! :)
That smile tho..
perhaps a visit to norfolk, new orleans, or buena vista in georgia would be equally as educational.

Can your next episode be on how to correctly pronounce Houston, dependent on geography?
Whaaaa??
Lancaster, PA versus Lancaster, CA. I prefer Pennsylvania's pronunciation. It sounds smoother. It also makes it easy to know if you're a tourist.
omg mr. collins xDDDDDDDD
Louavalle!
I just say LUIS-VILLE
