      James King, Luke 9: 54-56 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, *Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.* And they went to another village.
      1Cor 6: 11 *And such were some of you:* but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

      1John 3: 14-17 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

      There's many ways. But all through love. Not all people are ad humble and respectful as these men. We minister according to the response of the crowd or person. "Save some with Fear, pulling them out of the fire" Jude 1:23. Some need hard rebuke through love and some with meekmess and gentleness. We're led by the spirit. Not all have to minister this way. Open air preaching is different from one-on-one ministering like this. Remember, Jesus said "the whole world hates me because I testify of it that its works are evil".

    I like that the preacher never once condemned the men for being homosexual, but he took them through the 10 commandments and the gospel. I bet that the young man was completely surprised that this guy was so loving. May the Lord turn their hearts to Himself. He is able!

    • @mountainguy7762
      @mountainguy7762 6 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      Well there should be no reason for him to condemn them for being gay - God made them that way, and it's not a sin to be gay.

    • @fineartbymattphilleo
      @fineartbymattphilleo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +346

      I disagree. God doesn't make people "gay." People are born with propensities toward certain behaviors. That doesn't make them right. I am a married man, and yet I (the sin nature in me that I am still fighting) want to look at other women lustfully. Is God responsible for that? No. God gave me sexual desires which are good when consummated in marriage. He gives me the choice, along with his power supplied by grace to say "no" to those evil desires of coveting another woman.
      In the same, way, some people are born with a propensity to be attracted to the same sex. Through my experience talking with homosexual men about this (my friend both is gay and I've chatted with him about this) there has been either abuse or a strained/missing father relationship at the root of it. You mix that with a biological tendency and it often results in homosexual desires. My neighbor and many of his friends are gay and we got along great and chatted about this kind of stuff often. When he died a few weeks ago, I visited him at the hospital to share Christ with him one last time. I loved that man. He was a great neighbor to me too.
      What is the solution?
      Try to turn gays into straights?
      No!
      It's to turn them to Jesus Christ. Over time, if they put his Lordship above their perceived sexual identity, they will either change orientation or decide, like some already have, to simply become celibate and control their desires.
      Is it easy? Of course not. Jesus never claimed that living for Him would be easy. But it is joyful.
      It is not a sin to be "gay." It is a sin to practice the behavior. The Bible says: "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men" I Corinthians 6:9
      Listen, we all need the Savior. Homosexuality is not the worst sin. Pride is. Pride is at the root of it all. Wanting other things more than God and pretending that he doesn't exist has created all the evils in the world, and, yes, including homosexuality. (Romans 1 explains this in detail. )
      The solution is this. "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God is loving, and loves the sinner in their sin, even as His wrath abides on them. If they will repent (acknowledge that their sin is indeed sinful, with a desire to turn away from it) and put faith in Jesus Christ, they will be born again (John 3:3-21) and changed into a new person! ( 2 Corinthians 5:17)

      Fine Art by Matt Philleo, Excellent post. I have ministered to ex-gay people for many years. This is so true. We are all born sinners with the propensity to sin. I left homosexuality 16 years ago through Christ. Not because I went straight, but because I wanted to be holy because He is holy. I wanted Jesus more than my sinful practices.
      It is important to note that temptation is not your identity, and you do not have to act on them either. 1 Cor 6:11.

    • @mountainguy7762
      @mountainguy7762 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Fine Art by Matt Philleo, you may disagree, but let’s see what the Bible has to say about it rather than our opinions. You start off with the assumption that all same-sex relationships are sin. I used to think the same thing until I did a LOT of research. I would encourage you to go to the original languages (Greek and Hebrew) and see what God really intended by these so called “gay passages”. ALL of the same-sex activity in the Bible is attributable to abusive practices (gang rape, pederasty, temple prostitution, etc.), and all of these are wrong whether in a gay or straight context.
      I am part of a group of straight pastors, seminary professors, and church leaders who have been asking a very important question about all of this: “Why do LGBT youth from Christian homes have a suicide rate that is NINE TIMES higher than that of LGBT people in general??” (and just so you know, LGBT youth from non-Christian homes already have alarmingly high suicide rates!) So we started asking ourselves if we have been giving the wrong advice these past few decades? Could we be misunderstanding these passages about same-sex activity?
      When studying the Bible, we need to take into account the original author and audience, as well as the cultural context of the day. After all, we are separated by language, culture, and 2000+ years. Thus a deep dive into the Hebrew and Greek texts is essential. It is also important to understand history (looking at the past 3000 years), as well as psychology, politics, and science. Yes, even science! After all, it took science to teach us that the earth revolved around the sun and not the other way around - which appeared to be contradictory to Scripture, thus causing some to be imprisoned by the Church.
      In short, from my intense study on the subject, I am convinced that ALL of the same-sex passages in the Bible pertain to abusive sexual practices: gang rape, idolatry, pederasty (a type of pedophilia), etc. Please note that all of these would be equally as sinful if they were heterosexual in nature. We don’t see the “attack on gays” until the 3rd or 4th century (long after the Biblical passages were written). Thus the perspective people had about gays in the 1st century is paramount to properly understanding Romans 1, I Cor 6:9, and I Tim 1:10.
      From what I have studied, there was a LOT more homosexual activity going on in the first century than even today! Even then, such homosexual activity in and of itself was not considered bad by any of the biblical writers. Yet the abusive forms of such were bad - and thus Paul wrote what he wrote.
      I didn't just read some books to come to this conclusion, I traveled thousands of miles and researched in old archives, learned Greek and Hebrew at a master's degree level, and spent YEARS studying in order to really seek to understand what God intended from these "gay passages". I am serious about this because I learned that we have seen the largest amount of teen and young adult suicide in the past few decades - and guess what corresponds to that - the word "homosexual" wasn't even in the Bible until 1946, just a few decades ago. Keep in mind that before the King James Bible (1611), the German Bible was translated and it says in Lev 18:22 and 20:13 "man shall not lie with little boys as he does with a woman..." THUS pederasty (NOT homosexuality) was considered the sin in these verses as well as I Cor 6:9 and I Tim1:10.
      I must say I am glad that you are reaching out to gay neighbors and friends, and not seeing them as a disease. Yet I think there is much you can learn by digging deeper to understand the bigger picture of human sexuality - much of which we were clueless about just 10-15 years ago. God created sexual orientation, and we are just beginning to learn about it. It reminds me of how God created the earth and the sun and the moon and the planets - and just a few hundred years ago the Church imprisoned people for daring to “go against Scripture passages” that they believed taught that the earth is in the center of the universe. We have misunderstood the Bible in the past - are we misunderstanding it yet again?
      It's up to our generation to fix this! May God bless you!

      Jerry Young, I am not sure where you are getting your information from, but you may want to question the accuracy of your sources. I am well-connected with many highly educated and well-researched people in this conversation and have NEVER heard anyone say anything about “abandoning the idea that anyone is being born gay”. Also just so you know, there is not a single documented case of someone changing from gay to straight.
      You said, “Scripture clearly condemns anything outside of a heterosexual monogamous marital sexual union.”, but this is simply not true. I would like to point out King Solomon who had hundreds of wives and was blessed by God. I could go on and on with refuting your claim with MANY things, but will refrain for now.
      Scripture NEVER teaches that homosexuality is wrong. NEVER. From your comment I gather that you have never studied Greek or Hebrew at an academic level. Am I correct?
      As far as your remark that “the increased rates within the homosexual community of domestic violence, drug abuse, suicide, disease and more would point to it as a very unhealthy and unnatural behavior.” WOW. Where did you get this information? If you are referring to a study in the 1990’s that some pastors use to show a highly dysfunctional group of people regarding these vices, that study has since been discarded by both sides of the conversation as inaccurate and misleading. So once again, you may want to check your sources!
      I truly hope you will dig deeper.
      God bless you.

      This way of evangelizing comes from Ray Comfort. I think his ministry is called "Living Waters." You're right, it is a loving way to reach people. "The law of the Lord is perfect for converting the soul." Before we can give people God's wonderful gift of Jesus they must see themselves through the 10 commandments (Law) - guilty! Then they are more willing to receive God's gift of love. The pearl of great price!

      Not in a mean way, but that's why I don't believe how the bible is, because there is so many contradictions, but I do believe afterlife, from paranormal activity, I think people are born gay from unbalanced of testosterone in the womb, I don't know exactly, but I heard from scientists, I heard and saw and learned that being born transgender is in the brain that is the opposite gender from their body, cat scans shows it, they did cat scans on transgender and non transgender and it shows that trans-men, their brain is the same as a biological men and trans-women, their brain is the same as a biological women. You can't change your chromosomes but your brain don't match your chromosomes is transgender. They did cat scans on xx born female and their brain is xy they are called trans-men, match biological man,their brains are the same and that's why they have dysphoria, same for xy body male with xx brain is called trans-women, their brain matches biological women and you born man with man brian and get a vaginal then you still a man because your brain is not female and if your a woman and have woman brain then get a penis your still a woman because you don't have a man brain. It's real transgender from cat scans, because of science evidence. So transgender man is xx body= female body with xy male brain and xy body= male body with xx brain is transgender woman. And people born cis male is xy body with xy brain and cis woman is born xx body with xx brain. And cis men and cis women are not transgender. Gender is in the brain. So it's to be born male brain with male body and female brain in female body you get no dysphoria because your brain matches your body. That's why transgender have dysphoria because their brain is female brain in male body that's trans-woman they identify as a woman how they really feel and male brain in female body is called trans-male they identify as a man how they really feel. And transgender that is how you are born even before hormones and surgery, their brain still is xx body with xy brain that is trans-male/trans-man and xy body with xx brain is trans-female/trans-woman, the cat scans showed this before hormones and surgery. That is why most trans-men and trans-women get surgery to match their brain, even though they know that can not ever change their chromosomes, but a least make their body more appearance to their brain as possible, that decrease dysphoria of their body.

But it takes a spiritually sensitive person who is ''hearing'' how to approach individuals with the right word or gesture at the right time and place to be effective. Anyone who wants to leave the old behind and be renewed and restored in him is able to if they are willing to surrender. You don’t know if they will leave their way of living to pursue a living with God. You don’t know if they want to receive God and be transformed. You don’t know what God can do and what a willing heart they may have. It all comes to relationship with Christ this isn’t a religious thing it s a relationship with the father. They may change their thinking and way of living you don’t know what is in store for them. Shame on you because if you are believer you should be praying for them not condemning them who are you to do that. Two most important commandments love God above all things and love your neighbor as your self. You shouldn’t be spreading words of hate you should know better.

      Ethan Hocking well believing IS the only way you can get to heaven. Its nothing to do with what you do. That's your Christian walk after you are saved. Salvation is one time event. The moment you truly believe you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. But I understand what you are getting at. That's why Paul said...
      For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
      Galatians 5:13 KJV

      VideoAudioDisco09 Without the knowledge of God you are living in a lie and far from the truth. Also, you must be a former Roman Catholic. The Gospels date back to around 23 to 40 BC and are first hand accounts written by those whom were closest to Jesus - his disciples, his brothers and even he is even mentioned in The Antiquities of the Jews written by a Jewish Historian by the name of Flavius Josephus early within the First Century AD. And actually, if you talk about spreading the actual Gospel of Christ, credit that to the Apostle Paul. He spread the Gospel further than even Billy Graham. God’s will and Paul’s obedience to it are the reason why Christianity thrives. God’s Word does not return to Him void. It always accomplishes the thing for which it was sent. As for texts, there are more authentic transcripts of the New Testament written within First Century A.D., than there are of any other historical document in existence and they all say the same thing. And as far as Constantine goes, he was nothing more than a puppet of Satan who intertwined occulted and pagan worship into true Christianity founding the largest cult on earth known as the Roman Catholic Church. Don’t know what or where you have been researching, but each and everyday evidence is presented in favor and building cases towards the historicity of the Bible. I pray that God opens your heart and spirit to truly know who He is.

      VideoAudioDisco09 there are more sources about Jesus Christ than there are about Julius Caesar but no one disputes he ever existed. We simply do this to Jesus because we do not want to face the consequences of or sick, twisted and perverted nature because the existence of a “god” calls us into conviction and accountability. You must answer and be held responsible for your actions.
      You claim to know so much but know so little. Your world view is limited and narrow. How are Hitler or Einstein the most well known figures of history and the existed only within the last 100+ years but Jesus Christ lived on earth more than 2000 years ago but everyone pretty much knows about Him whether they or not they accept the fact of who He is.

      Forgiveness is always available to those who GENUINELY seek it. However God has set the standard and parameters for what is considered righteous conduct. We would be mocking Him, His sacrifice on the cross for OUR sins, and His consequent grace ( unmerited forgiveness ) if we were to continue in sin until just before we die. How do you think He would feel about that ? How would YOU feel if you were He ?
      And consider this too ; most of us don't know WHEN we will die. Is it not wiser to behave according to our Maker's will and be assured of salvation, than to flaunt our sins in His face and suddenly have to confront Him in our unsaved state, without excuse ? The time to reform our lives is now. When we're dead it may be too late.

      Rusty Writer Thank you for your response. Please hear me out before quickly responding - They don't need to change their orientation. Perhaps it is a thorn in their flesh that they simply wont be able to act upon - the same exact way that many Christians struggle with the sin of pornography (which is also sexual immorality) and still desire/lust after it regardless of however many years of life and study and personal growth. Perhaps they will be one of the people that benefit from the teachings of the Apostle Paul when he was talking about remaining single. (They can devote more time, study, and life toward God than having to spread out their time during the pursuit of marriage) 1 Corinthians 7 isn’t prescribing singleness or marriage but rather telling Christians to make the choices that help each of us MOST glorify God. Each individual is made different by God, thus singleness may be better for some and marriage may be better for some. Glorifying God, serving God, and being in an intimate relationship with God is the main point. So it doesn't matter what your orientation is, you simply do whatever you can to best emulate Jesus for this short time on Earth.

The VAST majority of people who claim to be "Christians" really aren't Christians at all. These false Christians spread hate and judgment on others and misinterpret scripture out of context which brings a lot of confusion and ill-conceived perception from non-Christians. That's why Jesus said many will come before Him at the end and expect to be saved, but He will say "but you never actually had a relationship with me... You only claimed to be a Christian but never walked by the holy spirit".. God created every thing as good... humans in their fallen, sin-filled lives have twisted and corrupted what was intended to bring joy and worship. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

    Seed planted, now it is for The Holy Spirit to convict, we can only present the gospel. You can never tell who God will grant repentance to. I wish you would have been more clear about why we can't pay for our sins and why Christ can. The process of the exchange: Christ's perfect life for our sinful one. That God demand perfection, so only those in Christ are acceptable. You could spend more time on this because they already admitted they were sinners bound for hell. The one guy on the left was very honest even if not willing to surrender. He had obviously heard a lot of this before and rejected it: "I don't believe in Heaven or Hell." The Apostle Paul rejected the gospel also, till his road to Damascus conversion. So God willing this could bear fruit.

      pastor?brian, did you even watch the video? You seem to be the one with hate in your heart, towards Christ's gospel. Jesus sets us free from sin with a desire to keep His commandments. Do you love Jesus? Jesus defined marriage as being between a man and woman from the beginning, so your love vs lust argument fails. Show me in scripture where God defines this love/sex relationship (marriage) between something other than male & female with His approval. If it were there, I'm sure it would have been found it in the last 2000+ years. Jesus delivers His people from such sins, to say it is not sin is to deceive yourself and those you counsel.

You're not bias? // "well Jesus was God" Do you; a highly educated person, see anything wrong with this, your statement? Because I sure do. Thank you

    • @pastorbri
      @pastorbri 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Polygyny is explicitly not forbidden in the Old Testament. The Torah includes a few specific regulations on the practice of polygyny,[3]:79 such as Exodus 21:10 "If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights". Deut 21:15-17 states that a man must award the inheritance due to a first-born son to the son who was actually born first, even if he hates that son's mother and likes another wife more; and Deut 17:17 states that the king shall not have many wives.[4] The king's behavior is condemned by the prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel 1:8. Over 40 important figures had more than one wife, such as Esau[Genesis 26:34][28:6-9], Elkanah[1 Samuel 1:1-8], and Solomon[1 Kings 11:1-3]. Moses had three wives; Zipporah[Exodus 2: 21], the daughter of Hobab[Numbers 10: 291] and the "Cushite" woman,[Numbers 12: 1] [a]
      Multiple marriage was considered a realistic alternative in the case of famine, widowhood, or female infertility.[5] The practice of levirate marriage obligated a man whose brother has left a widow without heir to marry her.[Deut 25:5-10]
      Polyandry was explicitly forbidden. If a man slept with a woman married to another man, both were to be put to death for adultery.[Deuteronomy 22:22] Under this law, if two men were married to one woman, all three would be subject to the death penalty. It is for this reason that all examples of polygamy in scripture involve polygyny, not polyandry, and in most Christian discussion the words "polygamy" and "polygyny" can be considered synonymous.
      No Adam only had eve....because thats all there was then...soon s there was more they had more wives. SO now u know u were wrong on marriage.....what else u wrong on eh? NOt very educated were u.

    • @JasonRussoMetal

      No one can force you to accept Christ. that's not how it works. He made man in His image. He's always loved us. We chose sin which caused death. As odd as it may sound this was a blessing because it's the only way we can truly know Him. You can't know joy without pain and suffering. Jesus willingly suffered for us out of love for you and me.
      I don't know what happened to you in your life but I feel something really bad that has made you very angry with God. I don't know what it is but I am sorry for whatever pain you are or have gone through.

    • @gribwitch

      So they are intelligent, good natured people. What does that have to do with what they DO ? Nothing.
      Why do you bring their personalities / characters into it ? This is what the LGBT propagandists like to do - so that any criticism of their sin is equivalent to condemning them as persons. This is a deceptive lie.
      "Let them find happiness no matter WHICH PATH THEY CHOOSE" ????
      They are UNREPENTANT, repeat UNREPENTANT homosexual sinners. How can they find happiness when their rejection of God's work on the cross will ensure them of the exact OPPOSITE !??

      Selahsmum he was manipulative and twisted their words. He made them agree to the idea of something and judged them on a what he claimed to be a hypothetical situation. He also accused him of believing that nothing happens when die when that poor man clearly said in the beginning that he indeed does believe there is an after life. I mean he MUST be an atheist if he doesn’t believe in what Christians believe in, right? Wrong.

    I can't believe how lost this generation is. Now when you ask people if they believe in the God of the Bible most don't, 50 years ago I would say most would. This world needs a revival badly, so many souls will not make it to Heaven and thay really saddens me.
