Not sure if this is implemented or not, but another cool thing would be if the tripods would be able to reduce the light coming out of their headlights, I saw it during the movie (Ferry scene where the tripod comes from over the hill and crushes the tree) and when it noticed the humans the light went full on, similar to a spotlight searching the area, looked similar to a vehicle headlight switching from parking lights to full headlights
If you are carrying grenades in the Game and you get pulled into the thing, can you have a 30% chance of activating the grenades and blowing the Tripod from the Inside?
I've been waiting just as long too. Can't believe it's actually happening. Also hope it comes to consoles as well. The developer did mention that the possibility will be open although he is focusing on PC first so let's hope.

Not everyone wants to game on PC, whether it's due to financially, preference for console more, or the instability in performance knowing there are many different kinds of PCs out there vs consoles having an easier time with stability because they are all the same
The city needs a bit of work, they look to clean. They should try adding little details like dumpsters and trash cans around vacant ally ways. They can also try spawing in random news papers/leaves around the streets to make it more realistic as well. I think he should also try fixing the NPCs A.I. I know this is a bit much and definitely not easy, but I'm sure he can cross that hurdle once he has the time to. Very impressed and excited for this game and can't wait to play it!
I agree. It's clear they wanted to make the tripods look/work great first. Everything else becoming polsihed as well will be the icing on the cake. I think there's a lot of room for creativity with the NPC's as well.

There have been a few suggestions to increase the brightness of the tripod spotlights, yes, I did see that in the stream as well, and yes, it is exactly the way you explained there towards the end of your video, it indeed adds that sense of fear to them, and the spotlights on their head move independently to one another when scanning for human survivors and the military just like in the movie.

It looks really good! Just a small thing, the saturated dark blue improved lighting on the tripod for beams and lights are really cool, but I feel it looks abit to cartoony.. in the film the two (spotlights) beams are kind of washed out, almost a ghostly light blue tinge or a less saturated version

I think it would be really funny if there was a random old lady that can Run REALLY fast. like your driving along a road and you see a old lady running faster than you're driving.

Awesome That’s nice I feel like the Uberpod should be a little taller to they did a nice job but there are different height of tripods but the uberpod is way taller and bigger then the normal one
Now we just need to recreate the basement scene where they probed houses(maybe as they have some type of only semi decent heat detection which could be attributed to fire)
I can't wait to see the first person to record in-game footage of the chances of that happening. Seeing it in a trailer or cutscene would also be cool. (also you just gave me an idea about fire thank you)
@@voidboi0 sure thing, I look forward to the final product as I remember being creeped out yet liking Tom Clancy's version from my childhood lol (maybe the probe thing comes if it can't tell if something is on fire in a house or actually humans (unless fire is busting out of the house while you're in there, so the aliens assume you're just fire lol)(to me trying to think of very grounded approach to making the game both realistic and immersive, and fun(trying to avoid making it be like death stranding lol ) To me, your game reminds me of the last of US's opening being the whole game (which I quite love, best part of the game despite me hating zombie stories 😂), like the whole "you're a random survivor, for now, among a society dealing with these invaders"(speaking of, haven't seen much of your game, but you should be able to use crowbar, namely on the probe and aggro'd humans(tho I hope you focus on the aliens more so vs Grey Skies 😂 GoodLuck mate, I guess last thing I'll ask is apparently war of the worlds is public domain like Thor? Love 7D2D but your right I get the same block world vibe too. I think the edges are far to clean with the town looking sterile and lacking believability. As I have said before underbrush, rocks and boulders and trees of varying types and sizes outside of towns will help with immersion. So much potential and you are heading in the right direction. Every freaking progress update leaves me tapping my foot impatiently. But honestly this game is a dream come true and I hope the developers get filthy stinking rich off of it. I know for a fact I will be buying multiple copies as gifts.

Imagine if they put mods so that you can be the tripod and search around the map to find your friends and get them! Omg imagine if they did that who fun will That be!
There are adding multi-player so you will be able to hunt your friends or survive with them or shoot them in the back for survival lol. But like he said custom lobbys would be a good thing for just wanting to play with friends.
@@voidboi0 what if u can start gunfights with hostile NPC's who are armed with guns and on a rare occasion u see npc cars in the road trying to flee the invasion and being able to shoot the driver and steal the car if u are armed also military checkpoints Or bases trying to get raided by hostile bandit NPCs and seeing Or hearing random gunfights from random npc groups fighting each other or the military for supplies. and a tripod hearing all the commotion coming around the corner. I also hope u can interact with npcs getting to know them and their storys and thoughts on the invasion and imagine seeing them get zapped by the tripods that be crazy i mean the choices are endless

The tripods are called Uber/Pod - The Biggest Pod / Mama Pod (Taller) Warrior Pods - The Fighter / Fights with a shield standing 200 meters (You'll notice their head is wider) Abduction Pod - The Abductor / Collects people for their engine (You'll notice that this type has a cage but the others dont)

Yeah, they showed up during the hill fight scene. The one in the middle was much larger than the others, but I'm not sure if it was ever confirmed by the film makers, or just a weird perspective/angle.
