    I’ve been using a blow dry brush because I could never manage the round brush but you’ve given me confidence to try again. The baby hair tip is gold. It worked well for me. No flat iron needed for my coarse hair.

    While I was deciding either to go with Airwrap or Supersonic. I found your amazing tutorials and other videos. I decided to go with the supersonic and learn to use the big round brush. I have long coarse wavy hair. My hair stylist did a rough dry to my hair some what like you did in this tutorial. I have no idea what my hair stylist did before. Thank you very much for this basic tutorial. I can’t wait to try this technique with the supersonic. 😇🎉

      Thank you!! I suppose it all depends on your hair type and what you are needing to achieve! A blow dry cream is usually a great product to start with to protect from heat, hydrate and smooth the hair from frizz! But if you lack volume and hold then perhaps a mousse would be more beneficial- although you might not get as much protection from just a mousse! 🫶 hope that was helpful!

    I just purchased the Dyson Air dryer and trying to learn how to do a blowout. I have a lot of hair and its long, thick and coarse with some wave to it. Sectioning has always been a problem for me. After watching you, hopefully, I'll be able to. Any suggestions for my type of hair?

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! I would pre section yours more intently than I did in this video. Do the three lower, middle, and top sections right away and then work your way from the bottom up..following what I did with the round brushing technique! Perhaps add more of a smoothing blow dry cream to each section as you pull in down to blow dry it! With course wavy hair, more product can be helpful to smooth and weigh the hair down! The dyson should help immensely in terms of cutting your drying time down with the sectioning! Try that out and let me know how it feels!

    • @MoriahSeabrook

      Hey! Love the questions! You should absolutely be using a blow dry cream or spray with a heat protectant! In this video I prepped my hair with Aveda Smooth Infusion Perfect Blow Dry spray! It has a heat protectant and helps with smoothing frizz. I have fine hair so if yours is more course, then a cream might be best for you!
      Also, at the beginning of the video I smooth the baby hairs with the blow dryer immediately while wet- this can help you skip using a flat iron around your face! I hope this helps!

    I have what feels like a silly question... once you create the perfect blow out, how do you maintain it? I have hair like yours and tend to shower and style at night, but then don't know the best way to sleep on the hair so it looks good the next morning. Also, when there is some frizz the next morning at the roots, what's the best way to smooth them out? I tried used a brush and that ruined the curl and texture. Lastly, any advice for maintaining the style when weather is an issue. It's so hard when I get the perfect blow out, but then have to go walk the dog in the rain or humidity :( What's best, low bun? baseball hat? Top knot? Maybe "blow out maintenance" would make a good video!! Thank you!

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think blow out maintenance would be a great video!
      There are so many things you can try! Prepping with a humidity defense product is huge and finishing with something to polish and smooth and lock in shine! Them when you sleep you could wrap your hair and use a silk bonnet which is so helpful! Even just a silk pillowcase and a scrunchy very loose can work wonders! If you’re on a walk and it’s humid or wet it’s going to be hard to protect your hair while it’s down- wrapping it up helps or yes baseball cap can help with the crown of your head but not the ends of course. When touching up in the morning you can resection and just retouch with the blow dryer (this is what I usually do) or just go over the top sections that are the most messy and frizzy! I hope this helps!

    Do you think the Dyson is part of the magic? Or the denmen or the specific brush you use?
    I’ve tried to blow dry my hair at home before and it was just impossible. I just did not look like the Salon.
    Do you use the Dyson at the salon because I feel like that would take forever- I feel like at the salon they burn your head off - you look good, but your hair is definitely damaged. lol because they use the hottest blow dryer they can find.
    I’m wondering if I get the deadman and later the Dyson blow dryer and the round brush that I can maybe be able to achieve the same thing
    My Dyson air wrap died so now I’m angry with Dyson because that was such an expensive product 😒
    Anyway, lol I love these videos

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Oh no! Did you make sure to always clean the filter on your airwrap?! Usually the only reason their products “die” is because they turn off so they don’t overheat from all the lint in the filter!
      I personally do use the Dyson at the salon and because of the power it has I do actually think it helps me perform faster! It get the water out of the hair quickly which is huge! It still has heat but just enough if used correctly to get you smooth🤍 I agree that a lot of stylists will use so much heat to get the job done and it’s not realistic to be able to do everyday on your hair which is why I showcase quite the opposite still using some heat but also trying to maintain the health of your hair! 🫶

    • @MoriahSeabrook

      Yes! Perhaps prepping your hair with a light hold gel or mousse and then going in with the round brush when it’s a bit more damp like 75-80% dry instead of 90+%! This way the wet hair is more flexible and the bonds are still broken for you to form your hair around the brush while drying!! Let me know if that helps! 🫶

    ddint work for my curly hair :(

      🥲 every hair type will have to adjust a bit using more tension etc- I have waves in my hair but not curls! When I do this on my curly clients I need a lot more tension when I pre dry with the denman! I hope that is helpful!

    I have never seen anyone use the supersonic without a concentrator nozzle.

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Totally! I’ve had other people say that too-I’ve found that when rough drying without the nozzle the air is able to cover more hair. It also opens the hair up a bit more to get the excess water out quickly before putting a nozzle on to concentrate the air in order to smooth! It also is going to be concentrating less heat in a small area so can be helpful in preventing unnecessary heat damage! I’ve done it all in and out of the salon and this is just what I’ve found is the most efficient for me!

    Just curious is this less damaging than using a straightener?

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe this should be less damaging than using a straightener for most people! It all depends on how much heat and tension you’re putting on the hair- usually most people end up damaging their hair with a flat iron!

    But how did she end up with less volume than when she started lol

    • @MoriahSeabrook
      @MoriahSeabrook  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did this blow out for a smooth silky blow out, not particularly for volume- just frizz control and movement! 🥰 I do have some tutorials showcasing volume though, if that’s what you’re looking for!

    None of this would work on coarse hair type. Her hair is already straight. Does not look right or pro at all unfortunately

      It would be nice if she could use clients with different hair textures for a better review

      I would love to incorporate different hair textures on other people in the future of my videos! The reason I’ve been doing tutorials on myself is because I wanted people to be able to see the the placement of my tools and how I’m holding them on myself since y’all are doing it on yourselves at home! I can showcase how I as a professional do techniques on other people but again it’s easier to do someone’s hair when it’s not on your own head and you can freely move your body and arms than when it is on yourself! I want to help you do your own hair at home- instead of learning how to dry on someone else! I do have a video of me doing a blowout on my partners hair- maybe that will be helpful as he has much thicker and a bit coarser hair than me! 🥰

      I have coarse hair. I’m a Black woman with type 4 hair and I round brush my hair straight. My technique is different because I do not need volume, it’s built in lol. I watched a TH-camr here named Kelly Wood that does blowouts on ethnic hair and I promise you it gets sleek. It takes a lot of practice but my hair does so much better with blowouts dryer than really high flat iron heat. I think Moriah has a good technique. She helped me be confident with the round brush.

      Yes don’t use a round brush until it’s about 90% dry!
