When God Johnson called him Sameil . the shock on Lucifers face. I truly believed it was God just knowing where to be to try to connect with Lucifer. Perfect actor choice in Timothy
@@houseofaction nope here it is one person. This story is nothing to do with a Bible its a part of DC Universe. Lucifer here is a DC character not biblical
I saw Lucifer first so it took me almost all of season one to know they were the same guy and it’s sooooo wierd seeing god Johnson without the luscious hair 😂😂 I love psych now though, it’s one of my favorites
@@celeste1737 Stopped watching Supernatural when there was an episode with clowns (it was early on i think) because at that time I had a big issue with those I don't anymore so maybe I should try again
Yes one my favorite episodes! The theories that most people have about God Johnson is that it was God memories before Lucifer Rebellion that is why he called him lucifer Samiel and he was in love with Mum. Another theory is that was God in a subtle way to make nice with his wife and son and to apologize to them in a subtle divine way.
I always figured that God was possessing that guy through the belt buckle but because of the circumstances of the buckle Lucifer came to the conclusion that it was just a guy with divine powers who thought he was God.
My thoughts about Eric's comment about the show having a set procedure, the killer shown at the 15 min mark, is that this isn't really a cop show. The focus is not about the crime (mostly), all of the police stuff is just a framework for character drama. It is all about Lucifer as a character and almost everything else is just there for him.
Timothy Omundson is a treasure. Lassie in Psych and the King in Galavant. I was heart broken when I saw him in This is Us and learned that he had a stroke in real life.
OMG, I never realised that! When I was a little, I watched Psych, but that was minimum 10 years ago. And nowdays I always saw this actor with beard and long hair, at minimum 3 series. I never noticed that these two man is the same, it was a shoking discover.
@@xDarkTrinityx Now he currently has a recurring role as Kate's neighbor on This Is Us. They also do a Psych TV Movie every couple of years (since the show ended), and he of course is in those. Great actor, and I enjoy it every time I see Timothy on screen!
Timothy Ombudsman is the Harry Dean Stanton of our time. He just makes everything all that much better. His beard is a force of its own. For those who don't know Roger Ebert had the Standon-Walsh rule. Look it up
The component on his belt had a "piece" of god in it. Like a memory of god. When exposed to a mortal, that mortal takes on whatever that shadow was. That's why he could heal, but it took effort. Its why he remembered his sons and his wife, but not what he did to them. He was basically an accidental Jesus.
I think God possessed Johnson through the buckle. If you go back you hear God say 'don't take the buckle!' Like he was trying to stay and finish the conversation with Lucifer. If he was just some crazy guy who thought he was God why would he care so much about a belt? I think this was the first time God and Lucifer actually got to really talk to each other and Lucifer believes it was a lie. This is my favorite episode but it makes me sad. All Lucy wants/needs is to clear the air with BOTH his parents especially his dad. FAVORITE EPISODE!!!!! THANK GOD!!!....the real one.
the buckle just grants nigh omniscience its not really god. if he was god a simple touch would have been enough to heal that women not continued touching for several seconds
@@houseofaction we don't know how God's powers work. Maybe being in a human body slowed his powers. And if that's not the case why didn't Lucifer notice? When he saw him heal he wasn't suspicious, even though he was looking for proof that he was fake. And that still doesn't answer why he thought the belt was important. You might be right, but I like to think God wanted to reconcile with Lucifer and remind him, he's still his son and he loves him. Maybe it's wishful thinking but what is God without faith, right?
The buckle was a talisman and a piece of the sword of fire, the one weapon forged by God that can cut the heavens themselves. When created, it is said God poured part of his essence into it so it would be as powerful as it is. So, it stands to reason that, like the blade itself calls on humans to use it, so the guard or Chappe (proper name) as it is known (the buckle) could be a conduit to God's consciousness. So God Johnson was God, but not fully present.
@@andrewlance3898 There are dragons in lots of things, but I can't think of anything other than _Merlin_ that has a dragon breath on a sword to make it more powerful.

His dry humor is truly top notch in that show. It's cool that the actors get back together every few years and do a TV Movie to continue the Psych story. :)
@@jonreese7066 Timothy has done an impressive job of recovering, and despite what happened, he still has amazing screen presence. They even incorporated his recovery from the stroke into his character (Gregory on This Is Us), who is also recouping from a stroke. So he was truly recovering even as he was playing the role. Instead of letting the stroke beat him, he used it to bring awareness to the issue and channeled that pain into his acting!
In my opinion, the piece did part a fracture of God's infinitely massive person onto this human, if only by pure circumstance-- after all, miracles cannot be manufactured.
Maybe a spoiler wasn't he a backup of god's consiousness or something, like that piece of the sword held all of the best parts of gods conciousness and the knife was the worst parts
